By far, in my opinion- THE BEST version of this tune. From the "mother" buildup at 3:25 into the video, to the last audience participation "Gonna Raise Hell" which starts at 5:08, Robin Zander again shows why he is The God Of All Things Vocal. To scream is one thing- to scream on key is a different ballgame altogether. There is no equal.
Listen to Robin Zander at 5:29!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOLY FRIGGING SHIT!!!!!!!!!!! What other rock singer could POUND out that kind of vocal. I mean, he leans back and gives it everything he’s got… And he hits that note in his full voice, not falsetto. I’ll bet even Brian Johnson from AC/DC would be like holy shit dude, great job!! if I was in the band I would’ve given Robin my nights pay for that . I would’ve been like, here bud, you deserve this more than me!
Good stuff, I recall Chicagofest 81 very well. My girlfriend made me take her to see Chaka Khan a couple day before we saw Cheap Trick who were awesome. Then about a month later I was in Army. The summer of 81 was the best ever by my memory.
Some great bands played on the Rock the Dock stage. Scorpions, Derringer, Journey and these boys. Love this show. Rick loved coming on stage with at least 4 guitars and start ripping them off during the song.....3/4 of audience were women. Great memories!
simply one of the best overlooked bands of all time and this classic cements my thought rock hall needs to get their heads out of their ass! Cheap Trick rule!
Robin pulled the vocals for that song from deep within his inner toe nails.
Completely blew me away.

This is a great song!My favorite Cheap truck song
You don't have to look much further than this video to see why so many great artists love these guys.
Who says that Robin Zander is not one of the best Rock vocalists in history is simply crazy

was at age 11 when I saw this show. this song scared the hell out of me. it rocked hard
One of the best Cheap trick songs. and sadly unrated. The disco version is really great. Cheap trck is one of the biggest rock bands ever!!!
I've seen them since 1977 and still love the live thing--but really want Bun E back.
cheap trick is the best rock band on the earth--keep going boys you rock
...and 31 years later they still sound just as good, if not better!
Was at this show. Unforgettable and amazing!
Great song fast tempo great sounds great
I am blown away, simply superb!!!
Hello this is father time, still listening 12 yrs. Later??🤔😏🤔🙃🤗🤷👍😊
God, this takes me back to the DAYS! I miss seeing them all around Chicago and elsewhere--thanks for this! It's effin' amazing!
One of my favorite Cheap Trick songs. So hard to believe this is the same group that later put out The Flame.

Pete Comita did a great job. I wonder what would have happened if he stuck around long enough to become a full time member...
Love this song!!!!
Wow! What a performance! 👏❤🏁
Better as every year goes by....

Good girl. There was a woman in her 70s.
Where is part 2
Best CT concert ever. More metallic and theatrical. They were at their peak.
It is crazy the difference between Tom playing this song and Pete playing it. An entirely different experience.
Pete is more cold-handed. Good, but Tom was very comfortable with experimenting with it more
All done through music. Can't help it if I am psychic musically. It's a gift.
Holy shit thats fast!!!
kool!
goosebumps at 4:18
Navy Pier at its finest!
Is that Tom?
Pete Comita it is.
Tom Peterson on bass, cant get much better than that!!
I think it is Pete Comita, he joined after Peterson left

Didn't WLUP Simulcast this? Possibly WXRT. Scott B. would remember, Scott whatya know?
