Got a First class law degree in the UK! I believe that confidence is key! If you’re not confident with your answer then you will naturally feel like you are going to be judged by other students therefore you become nervous! One thing that i learnt is that you do not really need to look at the eyes of the professor if you feel intimidated, look between their nose!
Nice tip! Thanks for watching
I find it effective to practice recitations facing the mirror. Also, predicting what kind of questions the professor might throw is also very helpful.
Although I just recently discovered these techniques, I'll surely apply them to my next recits after midterms.
Thank you Dean! :)
That's good JP. I appreciate your comments

@@goaldrivenpep1857 Yes. Right now, the PHILSAT is suspended as it was also suspended last year
Thank you so much dean. ❣️

Hi Dean, thank you for the tips. :) How do you cope up with breakdowns and burnouts during law school and what do you do when you feel demotivated?
Hi Shaira. I will always go back to the idea why I wanted to be a lawyer. Also, accepting the fact that breakdowns and burnouts are normal in law school.
Gives me a reason to be a law school professor someday.
Go!
up po so helpful niyo po dean, 1st year napo ako now
Congratulations! Stay strong
Thank you po for this video. I'm not an aspiring law student pero this video will help me in pursuing my masters in the future. Thank you po!

Thanks for the tips Dean. I am a fan from Cebu. I will enroll in a law school next year hopefully with face to face classes allowed. At least I have now clearer picture on what to expect and how the norms are going in a law school. Just a question though: in the context of a law class or session, is there a substantial difference in terms of quality education between a face to face and an online class? I was to enroll this year but since it was declared that f2f classes are prohibited due to covid 19, i hesitated and eventually turned down any possible school activities for fear that i might not get the same quality if i am to enroll for an online law class. Is there a huge difference? Thanks Dean!
Thank you for your comment. As a law school dean, I firmly believe in having face to face classes. Online classes may work in college but law school requires the regular way. There is a huge difference. If you want, I would wait till face to face classes comes back.
Felt disappointed when I heard "weed out students who can't survive law school". "Some were asked to quit when they don't get the grade required."😭😭
Dean, I am a third year BSED English Student planning to enter law school. I am not good in logical and analytical thinking. Not fond of reading. Any motivation po?
I was not a fan of reading as well. It took a while. Since you are third year, maybe start small. Read "thin" novels first. Read the type of stories you like. Then gradually increase to thicker books. For logical and analytical thinking, it can be learned. You do it everyday at school anyway.
@@TheDeanLawChannel thank you Dean.
Hello, Dean! Any tips for those who are planning to take law but as a working student?
Thank you!
Talk to your boss that you are planning to take up law. Maybe you can make some new work arrangement. Prepare to lose nights and weekends to studying.
Good evening, Dean! I'm 1st year in Law and tomorrow will be the start of class. Our Crim Pro already assigned 20 cases and we will directly have recit in the first day of class😢 however, I really don't know Dean, all those jargon words and as a freshmen reading 20 cases, this Tuesday napo recit namin and I don't know what to do po talaga since it's all new to me
Tapos as I read I can't remember all po😢😢😢
Baka susundin ko nalang po yung tips nyo na be honest😢
Thank you po Dean!
Best of luck! Keep cool and be patient
slmat po sir more video po, i am planning to take juris doctor degree next yr and i find your video very helpful and informative GOD bless you sir
Glad it was helpful!. I welcome any suggestion for a law school video,
Hello, Dean! I'm an incoming 2nd-year veterinary student at CLSU, and I am planning to attend law school after I finish my six-year degree. May I ask if I am qualified to enroll in law school? By the way, thank you for the tips in this video!
Hello Tricia, you are definitely qualified. We need more Vet/Lawyers. You can be a champion for animal rights.
atty ilan po ba ang books pag 1st year plng in law school lahat po ba ng law school ay pareho lng ang librong pag aaralan or iba iba? nag reready pa kc ako
They have the same content because its the same law. The difference will be in the writing style.
Hello Sir, i just want to ask if there is a chance that a graduate of BSBA FM can get into law school?
Yes, you can get into law school with that undergrad degree. Good luck!
As a first year college student who took up Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education Program, my question po dean is, can I still be accepted into law school even if somewhat, I will not graduate with an english literacy major? (Or even socsci, philo, legal management, etc) hope for your response and more power to you and your channel Atty!😇
Yes, Aira, your degree can get you to law school
Thank you po!
Dean, I have a question?
Is Bachelor of Arts in Psychology a Pre-Law Course?
I would say so.
Hi po Dean. I'm a senior high graduate and planning to take BSED English kasi choice po yun ng family ko pero my first choice talaga is to study a pre-law course. Pwede po bang pagsabayin yung dalawa or magte-take na lang po ng units?
Your English units will qualify for the law school admission. Thanks for the comment and the view.
Hi sir I'm currently taking A.b political Science at UCC congress. I'm not really good at analytical skills and have low confidence in speaking public. How can I survive this?
You can learn quickly. Reading books and summarizing them is one way to start. As far as speaking in public, its not a requirement for law school. You can survive. But if you want to improve confidence, I would suggest if speaking in public, is to focus on three people on the audience, better if they spaced apart and just look at those three people alternatively when speaking
Here is the Q and A video bit.ly/3fO83fK
Hi po, are the questions that the teacher will ask all be in the books?
Yes and no. The books will provide the law and the author's opinion. But a law professor might ask you questions like "Why so" or "What if". That will have to be answered by you using what you learned.
Thank you po❤🖤
You're welcome 😊
Thank you for the advice.😊
Pwede po ba mag Taglish during recitation?
depends on the professor. But usually not
Hi Atty. I just want to ask if do all lawyers attend a courtroom trial? May napapanood po kasi ako na ‘yung iba hindi naman po. Thank you!
Not all. I say there are a vast majority that don't practice litigation.
Dean, I would like to request a topic. Teachers expressing their vote in socmed for a certain candidate. Is this prohibited or not?
I will research on that Franklin
@@TheDeanLawChannel thank you, Dean
Dean do you approve of a 28 year old going back to law school qfter 7 years working in a family business . I was thinking of atleast taking the test for enrollment this year. But covid happens.
Yes, absolutely. The same thing happened to me! I went to law school 7 years after college. I worked for 3 years and a small business as well prior to entering law school.
@@TheDeanLawChannel god bless you dean . Hopefully by nxt year this pandemic will end.so that when i enter law school. I can have face to face classes.
Atty can I raise my hand if I know the relevant answer regarding to the case?
Yes. But do it in the proper timing. Some professor love volunteers and some don't

@@TheDeanLawChannel Ty po
meron po bng short courses for law school lalo na sa mga di naman pong gustong magpakadalubhasa?Yung tipong magaaral lng ng law because of passion?
Going to law school is a big commitment. there are also some perils in so far pressures in and out of class. If you want just want to learn the law, some master's degree courses have law subjects. At least you won't have the dreaded "socratic" type of recitation as they do in law school.
Kaya to self.
Thanks for the view and comment.
haha. lionel richie.
Glad you got the reference. Thanks for the view and comment.
Hi po is it necessary to answere to deliver you'r answeres in english, hope mavasa nyo po.
For law school, yes.
Im already 36 and graduated with a business degree. Is it already too late to pursue law in your late 30s.?
No, its never too late - ua-cam.com/video/0PZbYAR3Rgo/v-deo.html
@@TheDeanLawChannel Thank you Dean. Inspiring video.
hello po.. new subscriber here.. Is it too late for me to go to law school at the age of 30?
Not at all. I started law school when I was 29, married with one child. The Associate Dean of one law school started in her late 30's and was a bar examiner twice since becoming a lawyer
Here is the Q and A video bit.ly/3fO83fK
Hi sir dean. Is law school really hard?
Hi Rolly. Yes indeed. It is quite hard. But you are prepared for it, then you can survive.
Dean kelan po entrance examination for Law School?
It will next year by summer.
The Dean thank you so much! God bless!
how to be 99% fluent in english?
No one will be 99% fluent. You don't need to be fluent in English to pass the bar
Don't answer like a politician 🤣🤣🤣
NEVER!!!!
