@@Garoslol Sorry, but if your best player throws games like in game 3 - then toss players are just not good enough. Serral is simply the way superior player. Balance does not mean all races win equally often. Balance menas that if both PLAYERS are equally good, they win roughly the same time. But if one player is way superior to the others? In a balanced game, this player will win most of the time.
If you start your comment by "your player" and statements that insinuate that protoss players in general are not good enough you are surely just going to trigger a defensive response. But anyway you are right serral destroy anyone in mirror matchup in which there can't be a balance problem. He is just the best living sc2 player.
Protoss will never win a big tournament, you just have to get used to it and learn to enjoy the standard 4-0 ZvPs, or watch 400 dollar tournaments in which protoss can win
@@bigprank3964 But the question IS....does this happen because we have no good protoss players or is it because Protoss is simply too weak atm? My answer would be the latter. Protoss simply does not have anything like Terran or Zerg. Terran can carry with their micro and Zerg can carry with their macro and Micro, however Protoss only has the Warp Prism for micro and when it comes to macro....well macro to what? Their late game army is not that strong compared to Terran or Zerg. Protoss simply lacks that something.
@shadowpriest2574 Protoss lacks a low tech ground unit that usefully scales late game. Adepts and Zerglings fall off equally hard until Adrenal Glands, and then Adepts are just clearly worse. Terran bioball with drugs, guns, and Medivacs providing a quick mobility boost runs rings around Adepts. Protoss lives and dies off late game deathball and both Zerg and Terran have strong anti deathball abilities as well. It's why so many Protoss cheese, late game is not viable.
I'm pretty sure early adepts are incorrect against zerg at this level. I've seen it work only a handful of times and definitely not against Serral. It only works if your opponent's macro sucks, so you're going to fail against a lot of high-level zerg.
Always enjoyed Serral years ago and he was never shown because 'oh its no fun' Was always interesed in the mechanic side and how he, as a relatively non caffenated person, especially compared to reynor, was able to play so high I was a Zerg and wanting to learn (and pierced diamond to be fair) so maybe I was a little biased, but it was really interesting and helpful to watch him Heard about his spellcaster trick the other week (just have one control group dedicated to each type of caster you have) and well, yeah it would've helped when I was playing, really didnt enjoy lategame and still wouldnt just from the eternal spellcaster shit show
Trying to defeat Serral with pure macro is just bonkers. And even if you get to outmacro him in a game the parasitic and fungal combo is just way too OP.

@winterstarcraft I really like your game assessment, some other youtubers don't seem to get it the same way and your sense of humour, it's been maturing for some time now and is not as sarcastic as in the past, which I like a lot. But you do repeat yourself, sometimes to the very word, on your queen impressions and changeling impressions; so much that even if one watches only about every third game one will have heard the almost exact same lines with the exact same "sorry, i blacked out there for a bit" so often one recognizes it immediately. Granted, the changeling-adept interaction sounded not quite as rehearsed this cast which i also enjoyed, but in general, hearing "My life for Aiur, isn't that right? .... WAIIIIT a minute" for the 10th time comes across like you practicing for theatre lessons.
Spoilers Wow, game 3 was just a huge Hero fail and for a Hero fan painful to watch (luckily i am a fan of both players). I dont even know how he could lose from that position after the failed cheese attempt by Serral. Allowing Serral 15 minutes to build back up was pretty much the only way he could recover. Just build 8 gates go over the map with blink stalkers and a prism and kill him.

My latest project is "Commander Rap Battles of Starcraft". Would you like to have a chat about it sometime? I see you're equally as impressed by Alarak as I, and his lines are written superbly: "Oh, is that intent? Do you seek to usurp me? / Your time is better spent sitting, sipping on a slurpee."
Zerg still OP af - 12 years later
Another great cast!
That Spoor play was best :)
Without watching - lemme guess . Toss loss ?
Toss winning tournaments? What is that lunacy?
Obviously
...What a monster.
Give Jimmy a raise!
Serral looking scary as ever going into Katowice.
I would certainly like to see a protos win a tournament once in a while, but ofc, Serral will win this.
so boring to watch SC at this point. Only Winter casting makes it interesting.
@@Yamaelp I disagree, Clem(or Maru) vs Any top Zerg is always so good for me.
High lvl TvZ in general is soo entertaining for me.
Cracked me up thanks
Winter! What in the world! Ypure doing the finals but not the BANGER herO vs Reynor BO7 semi finals?!
Oracle rhyming record?
Winter, you did not post a video yesterday, so my day was not made a little bit better.
I want a lot more hydralisks
thanks for this content :) keep up good work
I love your videos and you do make my days a little bit better everytime
I'm pretty sure early adepts are incorrect against zerg at this level. I've seen it work only a handful of times and definitely not against Serral. It only works if your opponent's macro sucks, so you're going to fail against a lot of high-level zerg.
Banelings should not damage enemy units when they are killed and only when they attack.
gotta love those random bars at 1:31:00 ish XD
That owl line killed me
keep it up with this quality content, dude. glhf
First draw a circle. Second, draw the rest of the fucking owl!
How can Serral control this, I dont understand it
Always enjoyed Serral years ago and he was never shown because 'oh its no fun'
Was always interesed in the mechanic side and how he, as a relatively non caffenated person, especially compared to reynor, was able to play so high
I was a Zerg and wanting to learn (and pierced diamond to be fair) so maybe I was a little biased, but it was really interesting and helpful to watch him
Heard about his spellcaster trick the other week (just have one control group dedicated to each type of caster you have) and well, yeah it would've helped when I was playing, really didnt enjoy lategame and still wouldnt just from the eternal spellcaster shit show
Trying to defeat Serral with pure macro is just bonkers. And even if you get to outmacro him in a game the parasitic and fungal combo is just way too OP.
yeah zerg caster are very OP. I think effects should replace not stack.
@@Yamaelp Efects don't stack. Or you mean to say either Fungal or Parasitic? No spell in the game works like that.
SPOILERS?
me see: a game lasts over 1,5h
me think: omg, herO is giving a fight
me realize: its a best of 9
me watch: toss die to Serral for 1,5h
edit: ok, he took a game
If Serral wins this big, expect more Zerg nerfs.
Imagine if hero used proper hotkeys
Imagine you killed the rest of zerg but the cap still 199 so how come you win of this?
Zerg OP so OP at all among the rest
@winterstarcraft I really like your game assessment, some other youtubers don't seem to get it the same way and your sense of humour, it's been maturing for some time now and is not as sarcastic as in the past, which I like a lot. But you do repeat yourself, sometimes to the very word, on your queen impressions and changeling impressions; so much that even if one watches only about every third game one will have heard the almost exact same lines with the exact same "sorry, i blacked out there for a bit" so often one recognizes it immediately.
Granted, the changeling-adept interaction sounded not quite as rehearsed this cast which i also enjoyed, but in general, hearing "My life for Aiur, isn't that right? .... WAIIIIT a minute" for the 10th time comes across like you practicing for theatre lessons.
i cant wait for zest to come back
I’ve never seen sky toss win at the pro level
Spoilers
Wow, game 3 was just a huge Hero fail and for a Hero fan painful to watch (luckily i am a fan of both players). I dont even know how he could lose from that position after the failed cheese attempt by Serral. Allowing Serral 15 minutes to build back up was pretty much the only way he could recover. Just build 8 gates go over the map with blink stalkers and a prism and kill him.
Hero confuses me, why doesn’t he use hot keys for his PROTOSS army. Select all is for diamond league and below!
if you thought Hero had a chance, then you must be new to SC2... The undisputed SC2 champ is Serral... just like how Magnus Carlsen is the undisputed champ in Chess.
Did Hero bet against himself and intentionally lose that 3rd game? That was so bad...
Where are the storms
The best in the World!!!😂❤
First few minutes and I'm betting on Serral.
