Great video JMAN! It's obviously not a track bike, but it is great to know how capable this bike is. You have really reaffirmed why I have had 15 BMWs since 1974 including my current '22 RT. Your commentary during and after the session are so much appreciated. Love your videos in general, so keep it up and stay safe.
Being an RT rider I knew they handled far better than most people who don't ride them think, but that was another level. I'm no way a track rider, but I love taking mine on a back road blast, move over for the sportbike riders though, let them get on their way.
You transported in your truck but the rear is on the gate....I'm hoping to pull my holiday trailer with a 1250rt in the truck box.....what's your box length?
You should have used the Shift Assist Pro (quick shifter). It's fabulous! Seemed like you were short shifting at times. Wind it right out mon. It pulls (almost) all the way up. Peg feelers are all I've ever scraped. And to be a nit picker, Michelin dropped "Pilot" from their Road 5 and Road 6 tires. They are, in my opinion, perfect on the RT.
Whoa! That was exciting and I wasn't even on the bike. 😃 The race track is not the native habitat of the RT but dang, it was doing very well (minus the scary peg scraping). What racetrack was this at? In SoCal somewhere? Once, long long ago, I used to road race in the AFM (American Federation of Motorcyclist) at Ontario Motor Speedway and Riverside Racetrack until I crashed and ended my racing interest / ambitions. This video reminds me of those intoxicating days. Thanks for the thrills !!! Awesome. 👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it. Yeah I was very impressed on how this RT performed on the race track; this was at AAA so good track for testing since it has a little bit of everything. I dont plan to ride the RT this way on the street so it's good to know it's more than capable.
the windscreen you commented on was the stock one? So what happened with the scraping ? just the feelers ? centerstand too ? great video to see someone push this bike a bit. waiting on my 22 rt to show up from germany now
Guten abend! I use the stock windscreen. The scraping was just the peg feelers so more than enough ground clearance on this bike. I'll be taking this RT on my next holiday road trip. Congrats on your 22 RT hope it arrives soon!✌️
I am a new RT owner, and I’m really impressed about how it’s capable on track!

Thanks George H, I ❤️ the RT platform such an amazing touring bike✌️

Hi there, yes love the RT great performance for a touring bike. Also, I don't have shift assist pro on my RT ordered it base which is how i like it.
Great ride brother nice to know what the rt is capable of.
Yep no doubt! Really enjoying this bike and have a ton of road trips planned on this RT.
Great vid, I have a 2019 R1250RT and love it. It would have been nice to hear the engine a bit more, it sounds sweet :)
I came from a 2019 RT good year dame motor and transmission. Ride safe!
Is this a 1250 RTP? Former police bike? I ask because it has a key

Amazing!!!
Thank you ✌️
Next, you should take a Mac Truck to the Track 😀 Nice riding Jman.
😆 thanks Becker. ✌️
You know it has a QS up and down right?
Nope this one does not have a QS.
Shouldn't be keyless? 🤔
👍🏻
@CE BBS I knew you would enjoy this one. ✌️
This is everything a R 1250 RT is not meant for ! Can' t get it !
pity the racetrack surface is pure shitful... like most of the US roads,,,,,,,,,thanks for sharing though
No música
I try to mix it up every now and then but yeah I like the sound of the boxer motor.
Cool riding but the bike's look… Oh my freaking god it's ugly!
let me guess , you own a naked or adventure bike?
The RT performed well at the track very impressed. I have to admit for me I think this is a beautiful bike 😍
No quick shift ~?
