Evo India needs to have some better criticism of the car. Don’t portray everything to be perfect. People need to hear you people to say the truth as you guys are the professionals. Don’t stick up to the brands. Be better.
But the question is, does the interior itself justify the 15 lac premium over cars like the Tiguan and Tucson - which are more spacious, more powerful, offer AWD. I'm very curious to know who the new X1 buyer is. Just the interior is enough ?
I'm appalled by the lack of progress in any of the attributes on these raised hatchbacks, 0-100 in 9 seconds after paying 50 lakhs? An Nexon EV Max can kick it's derriere in pace & refinement both 😁 and so does my 17 year old Civic
Hi evo India, some of the youtubers are making drag between verna turbo mannual and slavia 1.5 mannual, where slavia losses worse than everyone expected. Please make a fair race between verna and slavia/virtus. This was the only place where i could demand for a fair race.
The tucson has a 2.0 diesel, with 185 bhp and 400 odd NM with AWD. The petrol X1 is a joke 3 cylinder 1.5L…. Whats wrong with xuv 700 or tucson or so many other cheaper options.
Despite the Tucson's powerful 2.0 diesel engine and other cheaper options available like the XUV 700, the BMW X1 has its own advantages: 1. Performance and Efficiency: The BMW X1's 3-cylinder 1.5L petrol engine strikes a balance between power and fuel economy, offering a responsive drive in urban settings. 2. Luxury and Comfort: The X1 provides a premium interior, advanced technology features, and a refined driving experience, emphasizing luxury and comfort. 3. Brand Value and Prestige: BMW is a respected global brand associated with luxury, performance, and reliability, offering a certain level of prestige and brand recognition. 4. Safety Features: The X1 prioritizes safety with advanced features such as collision warning, lane departure warning, and automatic emergency braking. While the X1 may not match the Tucson's engine specifications, it excels in performance, luxury, brand value, and safety features, making it an appealing choice for many valuable customers.
@@contact2ckone of this justifies an almost 25 lakh premium... This would not have been tolerated in any first world international market.. Why are we in india settling! We literally have a handful of years to enjoy ice engines.. Give us proper cars for the money!
@@banestock You are correct. Due to the significant tax burden of approximately 56% imposed by the government on this car, the price range mentioned would have been more affordable without it.
@@contact2ck The only reason they are selling this donkeys version of the x1 in India is to meet CAFE norms. This is the only example I know of where a luxury carmaker has so severely downgraded their mechanicals so severely - without downgrading the price though, lol.
This was the much awaited video for me. I have already booked my x1 but not sure as I’m waiting for the comparison with Q3. Please bring comparison video asap. Thanks
Hi since you’ve already bought the car and I’m thinking of buying one too have a question. I somewhere read that one of the drawback of x1 is the AC. So how’s the AC ?
Well, if you spend like a good 38 lac you will get a fully feature loaded, car with good driving dynamics and comfort. Like the VW tiguan. And a few others as well. The extra 12-15 lac you are paying, is only for the Merc or The BMW or the Audi badge. Well, it does give you a status though can't deny the fact. If you are driving a merc or BMW people look at you in a different way.
Yes, but only in India. No one in europe will pay this kind of premium for a BMW. But these folks have tapped the status crazy market well. People will pay 15 lacs more to be seen in this bmw - competence of the car be damned !
How correct! 18D should be the choice if you want little bit of performance! Because there is only a bit of it in the diesel and none in the petrol! 3 cylinder petrol engine in 50 lakh plus car! One needs to be absolutely stupid to buy this... (I am not even able to call it a BMW!). What a disappointing product!!
Doesnt feel at all like a premium car for the price. Looked at it in person, felt even worse and come on BMW, you cant skip on awd anymore in any of your models.
Which one would you pick between the X1, Q3, and the GLA?
Q1? 🤔
Q3 or GLA.
@@sarthakshewale4493 Lack of caffeine. It's supposed to be Q3.

They can't help it if the car is sooo good
It feels good knowing that a 50 lakh rupee BMW has the same style of door handle from my 2005 indica. 😂
😂😂😂😂
Finally a good BMW to buy for 20 lakhs.
what drugs are you on ?
its 50
What an interior man!!❤ Seriously a class apart! But why does they provide a Maruti like door handles 😮!!

Do you think the power figures are justifiable at this price point?
Nope. Not one bit.

nice review, kudos, you covered all goodies, but will be good to also cover some drawbacks for cars with such a price.

Yes! The BMW X1 with 1.5L 3 Cylinder Engine
Not the 2.0-litre diesel?

Very detailed great review
Can you do a drag race of the diesels in this category?
We need x1 vs q3 comparison video
My 2013 stage 1 volvo v40 cross country feels better than all the X1 generation.
You are just paying 30-33lakhs extra for the tag and features, you can have same for 20lakhs (vw Taigun GT) fully loaded
Great review
Thank you!
Beautiful
Very underpowered
Vocal Sound is 50%. Less compared to all last vedios
Gla or Q5
We'll have to do back-to-back comparo for that.
GLA vs X1 vs Q3
GLC vs X3 vs Q5
How can you compare GLA vs Q5 ?
Grownup with down sized engine? How well it is accepted remains to be seen in coming months.
I recently commented .. this is way away from the bmw styling. Very big but does not have the seamless design. Clearly looking for volume
Interiors have character.. excellent design

Lack of features for Rs 50lakhs. Lack of power. This is Not a nice car, its merely for bragging rights.
No AWD makes it maybe 100 kg lighter
That's a huge weight saving, don't you think?
Cars of the new generation: price increase, power decrease.
Less than 150 hp in 50-60 lakhs what a joke😂
