Now people will comment it's underpowered and not worth the price. Imo, 150hp or 136 for the petrol is more than enough in Indian conditions. I'm very much satisfied with the powertrain to offer and the features loaded. I've driven this latest X1 owned by my friend. Neva felt better. Refinement, comfort, ride quality, audio, cameras, top notch. Only negative I feel is all wheel drive and ventilated seats.. This is my opinion.
Bro, i am also looking for a car under 60 lakhs but X1 isn't for me, not bcoz of underpowered engine but also bcoz if i want to get luxury in this price bracket, i will go with GLA which has also got lots of features to offer and likewise if looks and power is the thing than Q3 Sportback with coupe A body style and more power will make sense.....In short the X1 isn't as luxury as Mercedes GLA nor it's that good looking and powerful as a Audi Q3 Sportback, But hey the looks are subjective and u might like the X1 over the competition but not for me
150 bhp doesn't resonate with sheer driving pleasure. Plus it's not a necessity. True. but it's a very imp things for a luxury vehicle upwards of 50 L. The mantra not a necessity but still having it, is what defines luxury.
@@rohit_paradkar bro Mercedes is known for luxury and bmw is known for driving pleasure, here X1 is a fwd so driving pleasure is long gone and it's more of a family suv
@@ankitanand676That could be general perception but ‘luxury’ means different things to different people. For instance space, rear leg room and thigh support are some of the basic things which define luxury for myself. Whichever vehicle has more of it gets my money in this price bracket.
For me diesel is not an option. So considering the petrol, how do I pick this over something like a Tiguan after knowing the difference in engines between them
Skoda kodiaq 2024 is better than Audi q3, bmw x1, volvo xc40 and benz gla in every aspects.... Kodiaq 2024 interior also looks premium... 😂 These premium cars just doesn't make sense at all... It's not like everyone on streets will look at you as bmw, benz, audi is seen in every roads of India...

I understand where you are going with this. While I’m not sure if we will be able to pull off that comparo anytime soon, I can tell you that the Compass will serve you well if you can’t stretch for the X1. But if you can stretch, the X1 would be the one I recommend given how Jeep India is functioning at the moment.

The CO2 emissions may be lesser than the petrol but what about Nox? It's definitely low in power compared to the earlier 190hp 20d. Door handles looks like 90s car!
@@rohit_paradkar yes absolutely . It’s not a necessity.. but you never know when you need it . I have been in that situation a few times and I thank myself for the decision of an AWD or 4X4 .
Diesels always have a lower CO2 emission compared to petrol engines. The main issue is the NOx SOx and particulates. But yes. For all fuels there should be a balance. But man BMWs engines are sadd more like drinking skimmed milk. Not much oopmh.
No only for the logo this price can't be. No cool ventilated seat, ergonomics not as per right side steering, no physical buttons, not visible or easily accessible to co-passenger and lastly the engine is average.
if you put the badging value aside the Hyundai gets everything right in the "Tucson" actually its even more powerful than this lame launch BMW X1, Tucson has excellent built quality, top notch fit and finish its far superior in terms of reliability and service it costs way low compared to this BMW X1 and it looks great in person, again now a days people see only badge value not the value for money its sad to see the future of Indian car market not looking any good its not a healthy market for VFM cars anymore, they are attracted to the flashy luxury cars that deserves a kick out of the country, to me BMWs is known for their excellent driving dynamics and powerful refined engines combined with luxury feats and it is not the case anymore after seeing their best selling X1 got a lame turbo engine with unreliable DCT for a humongous price tag.
Its a very good car in isolation. But nowhere in the world is an X1 18i more expensive that a Tiguan 2.0 tsi or a Tucson 2.0 Awd. in india its 40% more. These car channels completely fail to point of the obvious. I really wonder who the buyers are. Proves that the indian car market is still quite immature.

Very well said about Fuel ❤. You’re the only one I heard saying the fact and truth on Diesel.
Please review petrol engine also
CO2 is not the major pollutant. It’s NOx is the major one and it’s still emitted more from diesel engines.
When is the hi breed or EV version coming
Hopefully they bring 23i or 28i which is in international market with xdrive. Not sure why India doesn’t get those.
The previous generation model found very few takers for the xDrive variants.
Very precise review... well done!

Please do a X1 vs Tiguan and X1 vs Q3 comparison
We shall try and make that happen. Audi/VW usually denies sending test cars for comparative stories.

The only thing that is keeping me away from the new x1 is that it has no all wheel drive.

In the entry level luxury segment no one is offering so you shouldn't expect awd. XUV would be better for that
BMW should have made this into Electric because how can you forget Volvo XC40 ?

Buy a Nexon. With 120 hp power more features less maintaince and save some 35-40 lakhs
Everything is good about this car...but the engine! WTH was BMW thinking....its literally all show and no go!
