I just played one today. The whole guitar felt very inviting to shred on. It's lightweight. Highly recommended for small hands. I couldn't find any manufacturing flaws on it. I wasn't blown away by the pickups sound however. If it's exclusively high gain you're going for, then the pickups are fine. Best regards
I like the clear tones on this guitar. I don’t have a amp but I have a speaker with amp plugins and it’s sounds amazing dude. I can’t distort my speaker but hearing it on rocksmith it sounds awesome
I finally found it: Les Paul body with a _arm cut!_ Pickups actually sound killer with a good amp, inexpensive, flat neck, simple HH with split coil...my only concern is quality control. Holy crap is this my first axe??
Just ordered the tobacco burst from Sweetwater with mods. Bone nut, locking tuners, and Duncan Hot Rodded buckers. Think the tobacco burst will look awesome with my Orange amp! Can't wait!
Do you recommend kramer baretta special if I want to learn mostly thrash metal songs from Megadeth, anthrax, etc. I'm a beginner I have narrowed down my options to jackson js12, 22, esp ltd 10, or kramer baretta special, I like how kramer sounds in reviews compared to other guitars but I'm not sure if it's suitable for what I want to learn.
@@okplld any of the guitars you mentioned would be a good place to start. The Kramer would definitely NOT be a BAD choice for this style of music. Keep in mind you only get the bridge pickup on the kramer, where the others open up the options with the neck pickup. Now, with that said my main guitar only has a bridge pickup and I don’t have any issues, so you may be just fine with the Kramer. I really enjoyed this JS22 Monarkh in the video, and I was very surprised at how well it played and sounded. This one in the video is still available as well
I want to basically play blues. Wonder how it sounds non-metal. Occasionally a power chord but blues. All acoustic looking for a great low buck electric. Old School guy. 63 LOL Thanks.
@@boyallan5684this what I live about this guitar, I could see some kid at a local show butchering Metallica riffs or one of you jazz or blues players picking on this axe. Jackson brought us all together on this one ☠️
It’s nice looking. I always worry about things like pickups on lower-priced guitars, but you seem to like them, eh. How about frets? One funny thing: I was watching a vid of a guy with a foreign accent, so I had captioning turned on. When you played dirty, the caption said [Music] & [Applause.] When you played clean, it said [Music] & [Laughter].
as for the frets, they're much better than I expected. it plays a LOT better than other guitars in that price range. The pickups on it were nice, but that's always preference. They had a lot of output, but you can always tweak to YOUR sound. I personally change out pickups so frequently, I don't even know what MY sound is anymore haha!
I pick one of these up a few days ago, payed it every day since... on rocksmith until I broke a string... But when I wanna get out of the game, what should I get so I can get a variety of effects? Maybe something that I can plug headphones into to connect to my scarlet 2i2 for recording?. Can you recommend a product from video reviews you've done?
As a fan of James Hetfield I think I want a Jackson Monarkh in black even though he plays ESP. All I can afford is the JS22 Monarkh because I help pay bills for my mom and that breaks my bank.
Nice review and playing. Did not expect such 'clean' clean tones. Seeing the Jackson name on a trad single cut is so strange in a great way. What amp/mic are you using in the demo?
Thank you very much! I was pleasantly surprised by the cleans as well. I’m actually not using an amp at all, but rather going through my helix. The room we shoot in isn’t sound proofed, and it’s right next to a highway and the other side is the drum department. All the noise interferes and bleeds into the demo, so I started going to DI for consistency and control over the tone. The “amp” setting is a a Rectifier panned on one side and a 5150 on the other, both cab IR’s are 4x12 V30’s with a blend of an SM57 and a ribbon mic. This my personal setup and I built the patches forever ago. I think they compliment each other nicely.
@@CAHouseMusic yes they do! Even listening on UA-cam and I wasn’t using great headphones. Gotta look into a helix. Thanks so much for replying. Love the channel.
i’ve been looking for many electric guitars to buy, as i’ve never owned one before. but i have a limit of $600 AUD, i was looking at this one and it seems to be okay for a beginner electric guitar player, what are your thoughts ? i’ve been playing acoustic for about 2 years but i need en electric guitar because acoustics starting to get repetitive haha!
impossible to say. They're very different guitars. Different specs, different styles, etc... only YOU can answer that question. Which one is better to you?
Are the pickups any good for playing on a low tuning? For example Drop A I'm willing to get this guitar as well but I want it to play some heavy stuff, is it worth it?
You should take in consideration scale length. Short scales are not the best for drop B and beyond tunings, specially if you want to play beyond fret 5 in the sixth string, where intonation goes out ouf whack. I hope it helps

Dude I was just about to pickup a standard JS22 Dingy because I thought they didn’t make a Les Paul-ish version. You just saved my life.
Killer distortion is always fun, but clean tone really gets you to the other side of metal. Especially when playing 90s favorites.

I get my snow white one on the 24th and you went a long way toward selling me on it dude! I'm stoked.
i got the monarkh js32 its a beast, love it
Merry Christmas to me. Just ordered one🤘🏼
Just picked one of these up I love it!
Great Choice! I hope the video helped make your decison
Love mine sounds so damn good
Jonny: The Jackson Monarkh is the best guitar under $250!
Eric: Hold my Kramer Baretta Special.
Hahahahaha. You could hear my thoughts from there??? - Eric

The way you tell mister B.J.Thomas this gives me confidence to purchase one soon.. because I intend this for Jazz playing. What do you think sir?

Is it me or just the clean sound quite familiar to a telecaster
Very nice!
Do you know if a Duesenberg Les Trem II would fit on this guitar?
Talking about tuning stability, is it ok for a guitar o tipical cheaper tuning stability?
Cool played
I’m gonna buy one of these and slap a pair of Bare Knuckle Warpig or Painkiller pickups in it.

It's very similar a Ds1 of my Charvel ❤️

Can someone tell me the difference between the 32 and the 22 ?
It's the same scale Life as a Gibson Les Paul
Just snatched it online for $211. Black label, I mean Friday...
How do You go from sounding metal to sounding clean? A pedal ?
Footswitch
I found out about clean when my 9 volt died...RIP.
How is for blues o jazz?
Ceramic pickups?
good day dude, how much does the guitar weigh
what track is played first?
What strings do you recommend for this guitar for initial new setup?
Ernie ball super slinky 09
Why no stone sour riffs tho?😂
Is the js32 Kelly a better option than the monarch?
