In this video, I'm taking you to Le Grand Buffet in Narbonne, France, which I believe is the best buffet in the world! For only $60, I enjoyed champagne, caviar, a lobster tower, and many other delicious dishes. I also explored the beautiful city of Narbonne and visited the historical sites. I am in total disbelief and awe in the best way possible. A trip to Narbonne France to visit a buffet? Is it work the 5 hour journey? It certainly is when it's the World's Best Buffet and it lives up to that title in spades. As nice as the buffets in las Vegas are, and as many try to replicate, but this is the irreproducible original.
This is a true celebration of food, the French culture, and the joy we get from a great meal together...but taken to the next level. @lesgrandsbuffets2437 does not shy away from the grandeur, the splendor, and the impressiveness of the French art of dining; it embraces it! The mind boggling varieties of complex classic dishes, the over-the-top hospitality, and the careful details and attention paid to all things dining, these are some of the things that make this the world's best buffet. The most important aspect that makes this the world's best? .. it's the people! You notice the moment you walk in from the friendly smile, to the pride, passion and care each member takes to provide an amazing experience.
Their iconic Lobster Tower rivals that of the Eiffel Tower ( and I suspect it's more tasty too), the classic dishes made of order with a brigade of chefs from the classic Canard Au Sang to the complex lievre a royale, and the stunning ambiance of the dinner theatre are just some of the reasons this would be worth the 5 hour journey; heck it's worth the travel from any parts of the world just to experience this majestic meal.

Without a doubt, Les Buffets Grands is the world's gold standard for a buffet! It is a multi-faceted dining experience that tantalizes all the senses from all perspectives available. The exquisite architecture, the special touches made for dining customers, and of course the world-class foods that grace your palate. It definitely fits the bill of being the Disney World of dining which requires multiple days of experience to truly appreciate all its wonders. No wonder the term Bon Appetite is most appropriate here! I can appreciate how Tim is blown away by his experience. Hopefully, he has time to do a second experience soon, without filming, to take his time and capture all the wonderment for himself to enjoy.

Vegas sucks. After they started charging for parking and got rid of reasonably priced buffers, vegas is rip off
I got a chance to speak to a few members there , and they mention that many people came here to try to copy the buffet, but so far , none has succeeded. Vegas is very nice, but yeah, it's not the same

No doubt the most famous buffet in Europe. Just a couple of hours away from Barcelona by a fast train. Always crowded because gets the real classical french point of view about food (more than one hundred cheese flavours).

Tim... Chlorpromazine and Plavix were both invented in France..Miracle Drugs. And Penicillin was published/ discovered by Ernst Duchesne in Paris in 1893...published! The men who landed at Omaha Beach were convinced such geniuses must be saved for the world. Our oldest ally and at a level of genius that we did not achieve in chemistry....
Seiche is "cuttlefish" (morgate" in Brittany), not squid (calamar); Settoise is actually "Sètoise". why did not you use multiple plates, instead of mixing custard with caviar and "wild rabbit (hare) ?
I didn't even notice how long the video was until you mentioned it! I was so mesmerized by everything. The scenery, the food was just beautiful! And the cheese! I'm not a drinker, but the cheese and the ham I would destroy! And all the chocolate???😍😍😍😍

Fantastic. I still remember when Mike Chen did a video on this buffet, but I think you outdid him in showing us the full experience.
They each have their own technique - I think they both do a good job. Mike highlights the meats and Tim does tend to show more of the variety, which is always quite nice. Tim Lee is somewhat more knowledgeable on the many foods. But Mike does show the food really up close so you feel like you're there tasting with him. 🌿

I agree, I saw Mike's video, he is excellent but Tim's review seems less rushed and honest. One thing that I remember is that the recommendation is to reserve 2 days in a row, if possible, especially if you are coming over the pond.
Yeah, Mike Chen has featured that place and there is no comparison with the way Tim did. No doubt Tim’s video is much better. By the way, I used to follow Strictly Dumpling before but I stopped when I learned and knew about Tim Lee.
This was overwhelming and over the top. One thing that impressed me the most was the team and owner wanted to preserve the grand fine dining experience, and make it accessible to many people by keeping the prices reasonably affordable. My hats off to them!

Your videos are so wholesome, soothing, and positive. They're like an antidepressant for me haha. There's some great buffets in Thailand (Copper Buffet, Orchid Cafe, Baanmama) and Shanghai (there's some ayce Japanese places with unlimited king crab, uni, foie gras, and chutoro).

What an amazing Buffet. I could never imagine such an establishment in France. I was born in Paris France in the 70s and such places didn’t exist back then. French gastronomy is one of the best and most complex in the world. All the dishes at this buffet reflected that. Merçi Beaucoup Tim. Your French was not bad.😊😊PS that plate was not chicken but veal (Veau)
It was very impressive and no where but France could I imagine anyone pulling off the complex french cuisine in the rapid secession of the buffet while keeping the style and elegance

What a feast! I found myself with my mouth agape at all the delicious French dishes, the huge cheese display, the incredible dessert selection that just kept going and going (cakes! pastries! crepe suzette! ice cream room!).

The different preparations are amazing, the cheese room astounding, a lobster tower, I would be in Heaven!! The quality, the opulence, they make you feel like royalty, I think. I may have missed it, but how long were you actually at the buffet? It seemed fairly relaxed. You did one recently with a 70 minute limit and it was almost painful to watch lol.

I was there at this buffet several weeks ago. It's not an exaggeration. It's an unbelievable dining experience, I tried to eat as little as possible leading up to it, and I spend almost four and a half hours trying to eat slowly and in small bits to sample as much as possible. It's unbelievably tasty virtually every dish. I also tried as many or several of those plated dishes that the chefs will prepare for you. I used Google to figure out how to say the names when ordering. They bottled up my wine at the end so I could take it home. So nice. The whole experience is classy and pleasant. All the food is high quality and makes your stomach feel good. I cannot imagine them trying to replicate this buffet here in the states as everyone would abuse it. I hope I can go again.

Tim this is the fourth time I’ve watched this episode. If anything, I would’ve liked it longer! Every thing looks so good!
It was such a great experience. I would highly recommend visiting but understand it is a crazy journey. one thing that was ringing true was that you really need to book to seating on separate days to fully see everything

Everything is so beautiful and classy. Sure a wonderful variety of foods and I thank you for this episode. My cousin works for a major grocer in the Pacific northwest and has her own cheese section that she is responsible for and right next to her is her friend who is responsible for the wines. She loves introducing people to the varieties of cheeses and got me hooked on cheeses. She would love to have the experience of tasting all those fabulous cheeses there.

There were so many amazing dishes to try, but impossible to try most of them in one to two visits.
What an Amazing experience, I love how you went through each station and asked the staff for recommendations n chose the best dish to try for yr fans, absolutely Grande...the choices, the ingredients and varieties shown is just out of the ordinary, a Must try Buffet for sure, I hope to try it someday when I visit France and hopefully the price not skyrocketed high after yr video. I would highly recommend visiting this buffet even if it means significant travel. If i'm not mistaken , i believe one of their goals is to ensure this experience is available to many people by keeping the prices relatively affordable. Total respected them

I can't get over how comfortable you appear to be talking to the camera while all around you are eating and minding their own business. Do you ever get pushback from restaurants or other customers? I love that they allow you to do your thing.
