KOORUI (34E6UC) 34inch 1000R Curved Monitor - The Best G5 Alternative!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 29 вер 2023
- KOORUI is a newer brand on the market that's a part of the much larger HKC company that has a long history in the tech world. This monitor has a very similar specs to the Samsung G5 and I'm guessing it may even be the same panel with some calibration changes although I don't have any confirmation on that it's just a hunch. With some upgrades to the overall function of the monitor like the mechanical adjustments and a more vibrant panel it may be a better option for anyone considering the G5 just keep in mind both have very noticeable ghosting. If you have any questions about this monitor let me know in the comment section and I'll answer that for you there. Links are below if you want to pick this up, just keep in mind the prices fluctuate so check back frequently for sales.

Awesome review, bought this couple days ago, it's about to arrive, happy that I picked this over the g5, keep it up man!!
Nice, let me know what you think!
Hi
I hope that your monitor has been delivered
I would like to have your feedback about so I can take my decision and buy it
How is the monitor? Is 1000r too much or distracting?
how is the ghosting is it bad?
Update us with the ghosting. How bad is it in your opinion
nice review ! very objective and clear
just got it , its pretty nice . playing fps online is game changing
For PS5?
I showcase ps5 gameplay on the video and why ultrawides aren’t the best for consoles
I just picked it up for $299. Very happy!
@Opresal its been good. crazy heavy on the red. turn down the red to 35-40 and you’ll be good.

thaks for the review!
got this 34e6uc in my local price only $230

That's awesome! Thank you so much! Dear! 🥰🥰🥰
how is the ghosting is it bad?
I was comparing this to the Spectre C345B-QUT168. The Height and Tilt adjustment that the Koorui made me choose it over the Spectre.
very nice and well done review. Helped me a lot, thx :)
Thank you 🙏🏼

Thx for the Video ✌️✅✨
i been tryna save my money but dude a new monitor would be awesome i have a tv for my second monitor so i can make this one my main & my acer my second monitor would you 100% recommend this one or should i buy the G5
I've been looking at this and it's currently on discount on Amazon. I'm curious, I'm NOT a gamer. I just watch UA-cam videos, live streams, Netflix and edit dart videos. This should be perfect for that sort of stuff right? I have a 27 inch flat screen now with 60hz refresh now. It's about 8 years old and works fine but obviously looking for a solid upgrade. What do ya think? Thanks.
It’ll be good for that just keep in mind most content is not the 21:9 aspect ratio this is so it’ll have black bars on the side to make it the 16:9 format.
@1UpNerdcore Thanks for the quick reply. Black bars is no good. The Samsung G5 is also on sale. 32 inch. Might scoop that one up
Better option for consoles 👍🏻
I got it for 289€ last week, 309 on black friday and Amazon employee discount, it comes tomorrow! I really hope the ghosting isn't that bad.
Edit: got it yesterday 2nd of December, It's amazing overall, the worst thing is the ghosting, you can get used to it but in dark scenes is big.
It doesn't have overdrive or response time setting?
It has a response time setting it goes from normal, fast and fastest. the difference is low between them but I have it on fastest all the time, also an MPRT that I have it off all the time.@@commandertoothpick8284
@@commandertoothpick8284 Well, I ended up returning it and buying a BenQ Mobiuz EX3410R

awesome review. just ordered this monitor as i am no longer happy with my 24in ausu tuff. i did not even use elmb on the asus tuff it just made everything darker and the colour is dull as everything just looks grey
Let me know what you think!
how is the ghosting is it bad?
Great review! Would you take the MSI Optix MAG342CQR over the Koorui?
It’s about even to be honest
I'm sure MSI would last a lot longer, get what you pay for when it comes to electronics... Usually
Where do we get that cool Astronaut Wallpaper animation? Does it cost money? I seen that on multiple reviews of yours. I love the look of it and it definitely helps show off the pros and cons to Monitors. It's bad a.. looking. Do I need to upgrade to Windows 11 for it? I am currently on Windows 10 because I prefer the look of Windows 10 but both my pc's are capable of Windows 11 and I am on a legit copy of Windows 10.
It’s on the wallpaper engine app you can buy for a couple bucks on steam
Hey Im watching both of your videos and I wanted to ask, which one would you choose? this KOORUI or the Sceptre C345B-QUT168? I want to use it mostly for office work with some casual gaming
The Sceptre would have a slight edge over this
Just recently bought this monitor do you also experience the random screen flickers? If so is there any setting you can recommend to rectify that?
If you are experiencing screen tearing, try enabling Adaptive Sync (FreeSync or G-Sync) in your monitor and your graphics card settings.
Will this work with a 75x75/100x100 vesa mount? I know you said it works with the 75, but wondering if a hybrid will fit in the back okay?
It would but you’ll need risers for it since it’s a 1000R curve
Please review the other Koorui monitors like the 24 inch 1440p and 27 inch 1440p 240hz
I’ll try to early next year, schedule is booked right now
Does "adaptive sync" mean it can be compatible with both freesync and g-sync ? i really want to buy this monitor it looks good it doesnnt perform the best but at a much cheaper price than the others
It has freesync and is gsync compatible
Just snagged one on Amazon for $265.
Has anyone brought this and if so, what do you think? Thinking of getting for gaming. Play lot of call of
Duty. So any comments would be appreciated
no speakers included in ????....do i need to buy separate speakers /...
Hello do you think theres a better 34inch wqhd curved monitor choice if my budget would be +100$ more? adaptive or gsync is needet.
Just found your videos today and i really like them :)
Depends on the budget cap
@@1UpNerdcorebudget would be 560$ was thinking about the Asus VG34VQL3A lately
ofc lol odyssey g8 oled destroys this monitor 34 inch
how do you compare it to Xiaomi Redmi 34 inch Curved Gaming Monitor 144Hz Ultrawide Screen 121% sRGB FreeSync
With the Amazon prices right now i was wondering as a console player what are your thoughts should I get this koorui or the 32inch odyssey g5?
32inch G5, consoles don’t support native 21:9 aspect ratio
yeah going for 270 in Japan! for once we get better prices....
the ghosting on this is crazy
Hi man, i just got this monitor, which one do you think is better in term of ghosting reduction: turning on FreeSync or MPRT? Thanks in advance
MPRT mode is overclocking the monitor but leads to inverse ghosting, regardless try both and see which one you like more. Be mindful of the dimming and inverse ghosting mprt mode might have
Got this monitor today for £250 and it's an absolute steal. The monitor is absolutely amazing for the price the colours are amazing as well as the ultra wide. You're going to get blur with VA panels more than IPS etc but because I've had VA panels pretty much with every TV it doesn't bother me. The blur isn't really bad just slight ghosting. I would highly recommend this monitor especially for the price and it comes with 3 year warranty as well. Plus zero dead pixels as well after setting it up which is a big bonus , most Asus monitors I've had have always came with dead pixel some where on the screen.
where did you bought it for this price
@@Meisterscheisser was on sale on gotraka but I'm sending mines back, everything I said about the monitor was true great colours, contrast etc but after two days two dead pixels appeared and I was playing division 2, Fortnite, gears of war 5 couldn't see much ghosting at all but when it came to play cod, crysis remastered, deus ex the ghosting and smearing was super bad I mean anything with black texted or black objects smeared super bad the text was unreadable when panning the camera.
The only way I could reduce the ghosting a lot was using the srgb mode, anything else caused major smearing and ghosting I think this monitor has a really low response time.
I should have tested it quite a bit before commenting. Going to get a refund and find a va ultra wide with faster response times. I mean my 55 inch QLED Samsung has a response time of 10ms so there's zero ghosting or smearing but yeah this monitor is really bad for it. I would avoid.
Same question, where did you buy it for that price with the warranty?
@omarel-gabbas5106 I got it from gotraka but I'd not suggest getting it. Sent it back because the black smear and ghosting was horrendous in fps games
about ghosting/blurr effect it is better or worst than the g5?
Wondering the same thing
Hey Bud, just want to have your opinion on this monitor vs the xiaomi 34in monitor. Thanks!
I used the dark matter xiaomi monitor and didn’t like it
Yo is it possible to align your clock to the opposite side? Icks me see the entire line of numbers jump side to side every second because 3 is thicker than 1. I want to make this clock too, is it rainmeter?
I’m not sure what clock you’re talking about
I own this. You must have it.
Awesome monitor! Does it come with built-in speakers?
I cover that in the video, I can’t remember off hand
No.
FYI if you anyone looking to buy this walmart is selling for $279 which is $20 cheaper than Amazon at the moment.
Just ordered this for 275$. I have the LG ultragear 45" oled as my main monitor. Gonna use this as a second monitor
Hi
I hope that your monitor has been delivered
I would like to have your feedback about so I can take my decision and buy it
how is it compare to your OLED
lol using two monitors sucks u gonna notice bezels. Just buy one 49 inch ultrawide monitor.
also cmon ips next to oled. It's dumb idea oled eats this cheap monitor.
Ok so which would you recommend between this and the Sceptre 34” ultrawide?
Close call, coin toss. I could go either direction to be honest.
I have an old msi optix mag341cq and I'm thinking of selling it to get this for the 165mz and HDR. Good idea?
Not worth the upgrade in my opinion. Save up more for something better.
Hello do you think iys good for casual use and watching movies with the family?
A tv is better than a monitor for that. If you have to use it for content consumption it’s okay but you might look into the Samsung g7 43inch monitor for that
Going to buy this and game on the ps5, do you think it’s worth the buy, will the ps5 look better than on my 4K lg tv?
Consoles can’t do 21:9 aspect ratio so it’ll stretch the image. I don’t recommend any ultrawide monitors for consoles
I really wanted to like this monitor but regrettably just set up the return and refund for it. I may have lost the Panel Lottery or something, because mine has really washed out quality and felt like the VA Panel was just really apparent on mine. After calibrating it the colors never felt quite right and there was always this thin vineer of blur over everything. I've decided to just stick to my 27 inch NZXT Canvas monitor, and keep searching.
I am currently on a 32' gigabyte 16:9 165hz 1440p monitor and am looking to get an ultrawide. I was looking at either the OMEN 32' 144hz or of course the Samsung G5. Would it be worth in in general to go with this monitor over the others/ staying with the one I have now. (looking for other opinions other then the one in the video)
I haven’t tried the omen so I can’t speak on that one. The Samsung and this one have bad ghosting/black smearing so keep that in mind
@@1UpNerdcore yea my monitor now (i forgot the model name) is a VA panel and does have ghosting which can be somewhat noticeable sometimes but it really doesent bother me all that much, as im kinda moving away from fps comp games and more into single player/ multiplayer cinematic type games where i don’t really need 165 fps+. But of course i do want to stay with a 165/144hz monitor in case i do go back to thoes games for a bit.
Would you consider this over the Xiaomi 34 inch?
I haven’t used that monitor but based off specs I would take this one over the xiaomi
Hi I just bought this monitor had it for a month and the screen keeps going on and off and way of resolving this ?
Check the DP or hdmi cable, if it’s not that contact the company.
Should i get this monitor or the Asus tuf VG34VQEL1A? Which would be better in you opinion?
The Asus has a better response time and good colors so I would go with that
@@1UpNerdcore ok i ordered that one! I was using a tv that was 1080p 60hz as my main display and I never used a HDR, 1440p, 60+hz display before so im excited to receive it! Thanks for replying too man : )
So, between this, the iiyama G-Master GB3467WQSU-B5 and the ASUS TUF VG34VQL1B, which is the best (looking for the best image quality for that price bracket)?
I haven’t tried the g master but the Asus is better than this one
good god I cancelled the koorui order yesterday (for the iiyama instead, for the faster response time). Thank you for your reply, might still try the Asus if it turns out the gmaster was all marketing.@@1UpNerdcore
So would this monitor run slower simulation games like ats / ets2 and farming simulator 22 good ?
Yes
Nice
Does it not have an overdrive or response time setting? To reduce the black color smearing/ghosting
I cover that at the 2:35 mark along with mprt. Overdrive is just a different word for response time adjustments so it’s the same thing I cover in the video.
@@1UpNerdcorethank you
Just bought this and description says it has 2 2.1 hdmi ports. I thought it was cheap for 2.1 outputs. Why would they put that in their description.
Manual says HDMI 2.0. My guess is it got pushed through without being checked and corrected. It happens a lot with monitors. Even with large brands like Samsung.
I really want a curved monitor just because. I also want a oled tv as well. Oled for gaming and watching sports. Curved just because I've always wanted one. Had one but it didn't last long. If I do a curved monitor I want it to have at least 4k or well 1440. My Asus 28" monitor is 2160 at 60hz. I'm running a high end display cable to my current monitor. Thank you for this review.
but oled is 900$ at least. I got odyssey g8 oled it's great but expensive as any other oled.
Kory I had a better price in Canada for the exact same features so imma take that one

Check for dead pixels, otherwise i 100% recommend it

For vesa mounting it on a monitor arm
I'm looking to get this monitor.. But I have my doubt about it.. How you compare this with MSI Optix MAG342CQR and GIGABYTE G34WQC.
I’ve used the MSI but not the gigabyte. Less ghosting with the MSI by a small margin with similar vibrancy to the KOORUI.
@@1UpNerdcore you will recommend to get the MSI instead of the koouri, just because has little bit less ghosting ...? Thanks. By the way awesome channel keep it up.
Where do you get all those wallpapers from? they look so cool

Thank you I just ordered this monitor to use up until next year when the new monitors come out for 2024 as my asus rog monitor stop working and this will be my first ultrawide monitor
Can this be mounted up on a wall or can u only use the stand?
Yes it has vesa mount
sure but rare to find monitor even on amazon polish, and impossible in normal stores. I had g5 it was good but idk this one could be better. Still I'm not considering cuz I got bigger budget and got odyssey g8 oled.
What's the background image you got on your other monitor?
One I found on the wallpaper engine app on Steam
Can use for ps 5 sir?
What are the four screws for that comes with the monitor?
To mount it to a monitor arm
Is this an IPS Panel? and how does it hold up to the G5 ultra wide ?
I cover all that info in the video 👍🏻
It's VA
Can this be used with a 24 inch monitor as a dual setup? I would use this for movies outside of work and Nintendo switch... I'm getting a 160*80 standing desk so wondering if it will all fit. Thanks in advance!
With a 1000R curved monitor a flat or less curved monitor will look weird paired with it. Movie and Nintendo switch are usually native 21:9 aspect ratio so I wouldn’t get this.
I dunno which 1 to buy Dell S3422DWG or this monitor? Which is betterw
I haven’t used the dell so I can’t say for sure. If the dell has a better response time though I’d go with it

has anyone played war thunder on this monitor if so let me know how the ghosting is please..
I’ve never heard of that game so I haven’t played it on the monitor unfortunately
my personal opinion the GIGABYTE G34WQC A-sa 34 at 349.99 is a serious contender and it sounds like it out performs this unit. It is norm stack against 800 and higher monitors
It’ll out perform it in terms of ghosting. It won’t compare to 800+ dollar monitors because that’s what OLEDs cost.
Everyone else says that its a 900 dollar monitor in 300 dollar skin. Ghosting is the best I have seen in this class and its just amazing for that price. ty maybe I try a koorui one day @@1UpNerdcore
that ghosting is disgusting lol ive had the g34wqc which is a "better" VA panel and still think that ghosting on that is still very noticeable. IPS or nothing tbh but very expensive compared to VA but worth it
IPS has come down in price, OLED beats IPS though.
@@1UpNerdcore OLED is the better choice but more expensive and prone to burn in
It will potentially get burn in within 3-5 years as long as you take measures to prevent it. More tech is coming with these monitors to prevent/delay it from happening
@@1UpNerdcore another cap. Nowadays there is qd-oled that almost not burn and it has stuff called pixel shift that prevents burning.
For the price point it can’t be beat, don’t even compare it to oled which cost thousands
KTC has an OLED for 600 bucks
@@1UpNerdcore cap 764$ it's on Polish Amazon and only 27 inch which is meh. Odyssey g8 is way better and prettier, and it isn't some no name brand at least.
Is this a VRR monitor?
I believe so as I was able to enable g sync compatibility with this
if it is ips I will buy it bat sadly va is really bad at competitive fps games
Depends on the VA and response time it has. This one is not be good as I explain in the video but the Pixio advanced monitor would be. Fastest response time will be OLED though
sure but where you buy that? In a china store lol
Off Amazon which is why I have an Amazon link in the description
Im buying 4 hour ago, now waiting 3-4days....
The ghosting's a deal breaker
My brother got this Monitor a few days ago, and the black smear is god awfull.
Does it not have overdrive or response time setting?
Watch the video…
The thing is, samsung monitors are really reliable. On the other hand, Chinese monitors not so much. My neighbour's samsung monitor is like 6-7 yrs old and there's no problem with it
Samsung panels are coming from companies like KTC which is based in china.
eeew VA, pass
DO NOT BUY THIS MONITOR. It is very blurry. the very center of 1 inch isnt blurry but the rest of the screen is blurry on both sides. it is not true 165, 144hz etc. If you have a sharp eye you will notice it is not beyond 60fps. even if you change the settings to 144hz or 165hz, its super blurry. no drivers. please avoid.
The blur has to do with the response time. This is 165hz the response time is just slow thus the blur. Should’ve watched my video before you bought it
Blur is the least of my worries. Dead pixel with HKC monitors is the problem.
Don’t you need a display port or something
