As a body man you shoot for what you know you can do and what you expect the end result will be . I know that you are not building a show truck but an every day driver that is out of the ordinary !! Thank you for showing every stage of the build it gives people a real picture of what it takes to get results . Till next time , Stuart in Ontario ..
As an Old bodyman I agree
As an Old bodyman I agree
Are you going to the Pate Swap Meet in Texas after the Lone Star Round Up?
Another UA-camr I watch uses a heat gun to soften up the used discs on his orbital grinder. Peels off really easy. Love the videos where you end off with Pablo making a guest appearance.
I REALLY think you are an EXPERT METAL WORKER/BENDER and I enjoy watching you FIGURE things out, and PLEASE, Don't EVER loose your sense of humor. That part of "YOU", adds so much to an ALREADY GREAT "WATCH". !! GOD BLESS
That's why people watch they love the customizing you thinking and solving issues using wharevers on hand the 37 ford looked like junk when you were first working it then it started evolving into the cool truck it turned out to be this truck will be the same thing
Add an 8" orbital sander to the laser and clamps in Brent's bag of tricks... GMC is looking good😎👍
Amazing, the results you get by piecing together all theses small shards of metal and get such a perfect result !
My only question is, why didn’t you laser-clean and treat the inside of the fenders first before Bondo on the outside
the transition between fender and running boards look killer. Good to see Pablo again.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and builds with all of us! My buddy's always joke around about fabbing stuff, they say "when in doubt, just BAD CHAD IT!. 😂 Whatever works, works. If it meets you liking and doesn't look like total crap then ok then. Can't wait to see this build done! Thanks again, cheers!
5:25 some texas tig 😂 good job !
This was a huge step in getting the 49 GMC/Pontiac looking svelt from 5 feet away. As always, body work videos are my favorite videos to watch.👍👍
Your are an awesome fabricator. More patience than I have. Truck is looking awesome.
Hi Brent, watching you use the grinder and flap wheels made me think about something that Jordan, Bennett Customs, devised. Both he and Karl use it, they use a small air grinder with the small abrasive discs, they cut the disc so it’s square. You used the tool at 31:25. That way they finish in tight spots, they seem to do a great job. Have a look at Karl’s rear shockie mount video because I think he uses that idea in that. Loving your work, it’s inspirational and very educational for someone who doesn’t do this sort of thing. I have a ding in my ride on so I may have a go at sorting it after watching you. Hi Esther.
Hey Brent! A lot of work my friend. Looking good for sure! 😀😀
The truck is looking good like all the builds you do and it looks like you enjoy using the laser
Watching you on the tube that will be a badass truck
nice job Brent , that was a good step forward , and thanks for keeping us in the process 👍🍺🍺
You have to be the most prolific builder out there! You rock dude!
looking good Brent, the bed area is perfect for an aluminum roll top tonneau cover
Thx Brent for what you do on UA-cam ! One of my best chanel 🙏
I am very excited to see my truck getting closer to the finish line!! Great job as always Brent. Cheers!
We used to call those giant DA pads bondo busters. Great work as always!!!
We called the 8" a Mud Hog :)
Has anyone told you, you are making quite the Fashion Statement with the Striped Shirt, Coveralls, Hat and Plaid Hankie. You could start your own brand of clothing. ;)
Shows how much I know or vision, every time he does something different I'm like that looks rough, then it all comes together and I'm like way cool, I was doubting the bumper is what I mean...
Turned out sweet! Straight up artist.
👍😎 thanks for take'n us along....whew , lot still goin' on....thx Brent....eh Pablo🐕
This, as always, is so fun to watch. Can't beat the music, either. Thanks again, Brent.
"by a little-I mean a lot"! I like it!
I love the smell of Bondo in the morning...
I like the background music in your time lapses ......great choice in the various genre tunes 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Body work and impressions, your spoiling us Brent ,
Hey Brent! Georgina here (originally from MB) watching from just south of Peterborough, ON. My hubby Steve watches you quite often, so I usually hear you more see you. Seeing that laser stripping tool in action is impressive! Your special recipe for fiberglass bondo sounds like an excellent solution to building up a decent base! Can't wait to see the project finished up! If possible, we'd love to meet you & Esther and see your garage when we're back in the 'Peg visiting sometime. We truly admired Esther's 49 Monarch at the LA Roadster Show when we saw it in the Suede Palace! My little car collection is a 1975 MGB, and two 54 Caddies - one Series 62 Sedan and a "Meteor' Hearse/ Ambulance. Always enjoy hearing about your projects! :D
Great job Lads !!! I'm always impressed about Pablo's sends of dance timing !!! He does Awsum for an old boy !!! 🥴😉🙃😎
I have always said "Bondo covers a multitude of Sins"
Ha Ha !!!!!!!
like 1 ! The laser certainly works well.
Make the tonneau cover out of canvas rolling up to the front like a awning with tracks,on each side thats follows the body line
"Not a Show Truck" ??!?: In the eye of the Beholder; She is/Will be a.Beauty
Fenderz n run'n boards, Lazer, weld, mud, sand n prime-other side, a 10 'r 20 foot driver.
Brent, I've been following your build and have had some possible things to do,in the fifties Spence Murray of Rod and Custom magazine built a custom Chevy pickup called the Dream Truck, started out as a '50 Chevy pickup with a later (54) cab, some of the customizers of the area did the body mods including rear fenders built from '41 Buick tops another idea that I had was to fade the front fenders over the doors same as the forties GM cars were built, again just an observation
Your excellent in all your work, but I really like your choice of musical backgrounds,as a musician I can tell you really like music too,by the way I'm a retired motor head from long Island ,New York. USA😊
Hello Brent, little late checking in, but I do look forward to watching your program. Fenders are taking shape, looking good. 👌 Be good and stay safe. 👍
Fender. And. Step. Looks. Great
Looks good! Top Dawg Carona and I've been busy taking care of Dad! Always enjoy your videos on this Saturday after yardwork crap!
I'm just curious if you have ever tried to mix fiberglass resin and the plastic filler when you are doing body work or if you have an opinion on mixing the resin in with the filler?
Looking great! You will be sending it in no time!
Thanks for another great video Brent, truck is going to be awesome 👍🏻
You had me worried at the beginning, what with the music and your striped shirt I thought you had turn towards the mime life.😮😮😂
You’re like a mad scientist with that Bondo. 😵💫😠🤪👍🏻
Hey Brent, that fender took some time but when you want to have it come out looking good you do what you have to do. The extra work on the cab and to get the gaps right will make it look outstanding and I know it’s a street cruiser not a show car but you still want to have it look its best. When you rapped up the video Pablo really seemed happy that you called it a night, I don’t think I saw him that excited to go. Later
I always enjoyed body work and I use a lot of paint sticks it will bend to the shape of a fender
As you were saying how much faster and better the second one went I couldn’t help but think what happened to “do the passenger side first”
Sheet moulded compound or corvette panel adhesive is water proof and stops water from bubbling the through pin holes. It's better to have a bit more hardener then not enough. Please dont paint this one green ok Brent! LOL Just flash the propane torch over the face of your old disc and they peel of your sander much easier.
Heat gun removes sandpaper easily from orbital
And now the fun begins!!!😆
Looking great! This project is moving along quickly! Take care!!
You know your gonna mess with it more and more😂😂😂😂😂
It only stops when you are close to satisfied. Even new it wasn't perfect and they had a press to make it all the same. Good enough for those roads up in your area
Brent you dont sit on your halfass you are a hard working customer
For your sand paper that doesn’t want to come off. What I have found is use a heat gun warm up the glue a bit and comes off a lot faster
If was easy everyone would be doing it Brent ❤ . can't wait to see it in primer
Wow that is some great work you are doing Brent! Looks like it will easily be a 10 footer to me! 🙂
Ladies and gentlemen, Pablo has left the building....
Everytime I see that shirt it reminds me of the cartoon villans from those old cartoons that I watch as a kid. :)
Don't do it correctly why do it all, flat black the pile !!
It usually takes me 4 passes before primer. Looks great!!!👍
I'm going to have to try that resin ideal man you put that Bondo on smooth I've never got mine on that smooth
Brent, you're saying , you're not forte on bondo, but you sure are forte in the finishing details 😁👍🍺🍺
To help match sides take a picture of the otherside with your phone, then you can match the otherside much easier. We can estimate all we want it takes as long as it takes, some time that just the nature of the beast. cheers Brent see ya on the next one.
Just amazed how kewl this truck is turning out
I like your program cause you kick ass a little talk then you just go for it!
Thank you for putting out these videos.
A lot of work it's the little things well done sir Brent thank you for sharing
I think this truck is going to look awesome when finished.
That shirt. I am waiting for tou to try to get out of the invisible box. Lol
You're getting really good with that laser torch
Minty !
Thank You for sharing your video, and letting us hang out .
Later ...
Brent, we are really enjoying this build. Especially the music in the time lapse segments. It was a treat to hear Modern Situations by Unicorn Heads. To me, they are a part of you and the Halfass Kustoms World along with Track Tribe, Vans in Japan etc. Keep up the great work and thanks again for sharing your Garage Time with us.👍👍❤
This video was a good length. It is what it is. like you say.
I'm happy you film what you do.
Awesome as Always.. Great Update Have you thought of a Colour ?
You have the patience of saint! I hate body work too, but you make it look easy!
I love the smell of Bondo in the morning, Lol!
Great job and another great video 👍👍
Loved the video and work your doing. ❤
Man that's BEAUTIOUS 👍👍👍👍👍
Boy , for someone who said they wern't all that fussy , you sure spend a lot of time on small details , keep it up I can"t wait to see you and Pablo cruisin" it
That's why he's good
My number 1 go to body channel on here these days, rarely watch any others out there now, Brent. Love the way this GMC is rocking on! Keep doing what you do . . . we do like the longer videos, mate but what you give us is so great. Thankful for your efforts to entertain us . . . more than you know.
My OCD eagle eye , since day 1, can not ignore that the Lhs taillamp looks out of square, (slanted down on the outside)
Put your long straight-edge across the car under the lamp bodies to confirm.
@@ronjohnstonaustralia2417 He allowed for adjustment.
Hi My Dear Friend Very Very Good Job ❤❤❤❤❤

At the end... Pedro"Come on daddy the door's over here, Come on daddy the door's over here, Come on daddy the door's over here, Did you forget, daddy the door's over here... Screw it Daddy, you're too slow I'm going under!"
Nice job on fender
Good enough for who it's for and what they are paying................That's a joke by the way.
