I thought the Eric Rosen trick was gonna be the pawn cube, totally unexpected at the end
The Stalemate Trap is a (perfect?) counter to the Pawn Cube Endgame. ;)
@@RemyWillard Still theory ;D
Yeah, first I thought it was transitioning into Stafford of sorts, it was almost on the board. Then the pawn cube happened and I thought, ok, it wasn't Stafford, it was the cube. And when the opponent was losing pieces unnecessarily and the game suddenly stopped I thought "Oh, no, this dude ruined the pawn cube advancement before Ben could get queen by surrendering" until I realized it was a draw ...
This has to be the most Eric Rosen-y game ever played by someone that is not Eric Rosen, and unintentionally.
"I found the only move that didn't win. That sounds like me!"
I'll leave you at your well deserved 69 likes
A pawn cube & The Rosen Trap, almost felt like I was watching the man play himself.
Ιs Ben an underestimated streamer ?
The answer is propably fries
The answer is always fries
proPably? ....very suspicious!
Hahaha LOLZ
Hey, that's me!
You sir, are a genius.
XD
truly a legend
salute
I love the reaction. Purely impressed, not laughing at it and brushing it off as something he "totally doesn't care about" like some chess streamers.
Like Hikaru lol
He literally cares, chat.
Chat do i care chat??? Chat I litteraly don’t care chat? Right chat???? I don’t care chat i just don’t care
@@CheeseCheetah you guys
I once had this over the board in a team blitz tournament. We needed half a point to draw our match and my opponent and I were both low on time. I could see him reaching for his king as I was making my move, so I decided not to take his new queen on c8 and played to a7 and hit my clock.
By this time, he had picked up his king. He hesitated, clearly seeing the trap. Unfortunately, it took him too long to decide what to do with his king and I won on time. Every now and then, this story is retold as a sort of club legend. It's actually quite embarrassing, because winning games like that is in bad taste.
Bad taste ? Your story is even cooler that the video, outsmarting someone so hard his brain freezes and you win on time. That must be so rare to win like that, you should be proud :D
That's not bad taste. That's skill.
He should have premoved in OTB - it would be more epic :)
Thats how Chess works
Ben getting a stalemate and not crying about it is so good to watch
Pawn cube, sneaky stalemate traps, the only thing else needed for the Rosen trifecta is connect four!
Oh no my oh no my queen
The good thing is he is not salty about it
this guy will be flexing to everyyone that he draw a gm
Thank you for this
If you watch Eric's channel, he is an expert at stalemate
Love this chess content! Only channel I watch! Trust in the GM
Dahhhh
The amazing thing is that he did it on purpose 😂
Yeah, eric rosen too
That's pawndemonium
Happy to report that I *immediately* got that Pulp Fiction reference
I thought it was gonna be a "oh no my queen"
Oooh it be Noor-Anonym again :O
Polish Mountain
Fun fact: KnurAnonim actually means AnonymousHog
Go Eric R- I mean Ben!
darn i wanted to get 7 or 8 queens
The borg cube won against Ben :) - Dobra robota Knurze Anonimie - od razu wyglądało na polską armię później dopiero spojrzałem na flagę :)
**SARCASM INTENSIFIES**
C is for cookies and that’s good enough for me!
You said it's never happened to you before? Incorrect!
"1 mistake 1 blunder"
1:51 Why not ...d5 ? The tactic with exd5 Bh3 g3 looks like it must be winning easily.
i was thinking about the same tactic, even if he takes you with the pawn you trade knights and then Bh3
@@eggsyhd2340 I looked a little further and it's apparent that he refutes the idea with Nxc6. Qf3 is always the critical defensive move that kills your attack.
Hahah KnurAnonim is from Poland - his nickname means "Anonymous Boar" or "Anonymous Pig" ;P
A square is a rectangle
pawwwwns, turn into a squarrreee
Ha ha. That always hurts
Damn, im starting to think that that was eric lol
Eric after seeing this video.....let's go...hahaha
3:40 did buddy have Bf7 with advantage?
Never mind, didn't see the knight on d2 for some reason
Frankly, terrible
That would have been cool if not for the knight on d2
@@AnandSivaram22 even without the knight on d2, black just recaptures bishop with queen and is up a piece
@@abgacg22 I was thinking this. I'm assuming the idea is:
1. Bxf7+ Rxf7?? 2. Rd8+ Rf8 3. Qxf8#
But as you say the correct response is simply Qxf7. That said Bxf7+ is a better try than g3 in this position.
1. Bxf7+ Qxf7 2. Qxf7+ Rxf7 3.f3
After this, white is only down a piece instead of losing his Queen. In the actual game, of course, we take with the rook.
Don't be a [ ]
It is depressing how true that line "that would be the happiest day of my life" is
The truth hurts
Black bh3 would've been a winnng move instead of castling.
still theory
" horrible"
terrible
that dude is so bad and that other dude is so good
Get rosend
Loves C.K, loves Dave, loves Ricky Gervais but hates Bill Burr? Like common
I'm with Karen. Love those comedians hate Bill burr
I love watching Ben Finegold. He's one of very few people I can disagree on stuff (mainly political) and still find them hilariously cool overall.
You need to expand that set of people.
Just because you can be smart at chess doesn't mean you also have to be smart about politics. Just look at Kasparov.
@@vivvpprof y
@@lucasng4712 'Cos tis no good otherwise.
Like, that dude just said literally "Ben is the only person that I disagree with and not 'hate' ". Like, that's two separate things. Kids learn that at school
@@SuperAWaC Just because you can make a political manifesto, doesn't mean you *have to* make it 🤦🏻♂️
worse than Alireza :O
Ahah funny
Love all the random Simpsons quotes
Hating Bill Burr is kind of a red flag.
Based
Karen probably hates Bill Burr because he has a lot of jokes about women and I think he's hilarious but I could see him being an less funny to women who he constantly makes fun of
Yeah his decade long obsession with gold diggers strikes me as extremely silly and anti-woman. As if women invented the concept of splitting finances at divorce. As if men can’t be gold diggers. As if one the biggest problems facing society is extremely wealthy people becoming half as wealthy. As if, considering the totality of how the world works, men are worse off.
Bill Burr is one of the best comedians of all time, but I more than understand not liking someone who regularly uses his massive soapbox to irately defend men who cheat on their wives “because you have no idea what that level of temptation is like.”
He’s right, we don’t, but how the hell can that even blip on someone’s radar as a premiere injustice of society: shaming exorbitantly wealthy philanderers? Bill Burr fans don’t spend their time defending the “liberal elite” until of course their wife divorces them for being lying cheaters. Then they polish their Men’s Rights Activism dog whistle and collapse their lungs blowing it.
@@CorpusFisty "It was a piece of shit thing he did"
Referring to arnold cheating.
He did say "why wouldn't he do it?", but that was in the spirit of "it's expected" not that it's okay
Bill was angry, and the reason he was angry was because people were being unfair to arnold when he cheated. As in the manner and the type of complaint was wrong, not that the cheating was
@@CorpusFisty He had a point about splitting up the money. It is absurd when divorces are high money divorces. That can be interpreted as a critique of the law also
@@arnavrawat9864 He’s harped on this numerous times and not just about Arnold. Tiger Woods I can specifically remember but he called it “an epidemic of gold digging whores.” An epidemic. Not just Arnold.
@@CorpusFisty bill never said it was right to cheat, he just puts it in perspective. And way more women marry for money.
Disturbing
Sorry Ben but Chappelle and Burr are not stylistically close at all. Boo..booo
Australians hate Jim Jefferies too
sheesh can't win against a 1759, calls himself a GM too?!
I think he did it on purpose
@@thiagom.3853 Yeah pretty sure its a joke
to be fair I have no idea at this point
Hes barely GM
he doesn't call himself a GM. FIDE calls him a GM.
Titles are forever, but Ben is very close to reaching that age.
First
How come this guy 1700 ?!!!! Terrible!
I mean he was playing well... until he wasn't
I don't play on dannydotcom apart from challenging Ben and/or Ben's tourneys. I'm at least 100-150 points underrated
That 1700 guy drew against a grandmaster. That's pretty good.
Bill bur talks a lot about women lol maybe thats why karen hates him....
Bill Burr spit too much truth, I'm not surprised Karen dont like him ;)
A GM wanna be
Who? Ben, hes a gm?
Bill is an angry dude. Maybe it's that, women don't like that as a comic relief
Short clips are better and funnier
