- We visited the Ruby G gauge garden railroad back in November to run trains and hang out with friends. It was definitely a great time, and we can't wait to go back again. The Ruby railroad is an outdoor garden railroad with a mix of ground level and elevated tracks. One of the main and most convenient features of this layout is a run-through storage track for when you're done running trains for the day. The railroads owner spent countless hours getting the layout ready for our group of friends and put even more time in after we left for the next visit! We hope everyone enjoys the video and look for some more new videos soon!

It sure was! The owner has put a lot of tireless hours into the layout. He's actually done a good bit of changes and additions since this video was made.

Awesome layout ! I'm sure a lot of time & $ was invested, but It's worth it. imo. Just getting ready to put a G scale in my back yard. I can only wish having one that was half as nice as yours.

It's not my railroad but I asked the owner that exact question. He filters the water and checks the ph and other levels to keep them in check.

Those AML cars have a distinctive wheel squeaking… at least I am pretty sure it’s coming from an AML car.
Also, is that indoor outdoor carpeting for the turf throughout? Looks really good.
Actually that was coming from a couple of the coal hoppers. Not sure which now as there was a mix of Bachmann, mdc, usa and aristo hoppers in that train. Not indoors outdoors in carpet. It's recycled turf from a ball field.
GREAT... but it could be AI? What's ;the point if no one else enjoys it? When can I visit?
