I love watching videos of your model A’s. Especially on your doodlebug. I also have a model a and model a projects. Unfortunately I don’t own a doodle bug yet. However I hope to run across one I can buy sometime in the future. Thanks for making these videos to share with us!
With both transmissions in first gear, and if they were each 5:1, the resulting 25:1 through that worm drive rear axle would be capable of pulling tree stumps. You're making great progress on the project.
@@QuickSpeedShop Put both transmissions in reverse and you should go forward even slower. I expect the reverse gear is even lower than the granny first.
Well done. This is something I have very little experience of so find what you’re doing really interesting. It’s also great to see pieces like this saved from the scrap pile and restored so please up the good work.
Excellent !! I had the same problem with my tranny and shifting tower. Basically, I fixed it the same way you did. Great progress you're making. I'm just wondering how you're going to position the seat with the rear tranny shift tower in the way. Unfortunately, I guess I'll have to wait until you post the video, LOL.... The rear differential in my Doodlebug is from a model AA truck. That's one heavy duty rear differential you have there, and I really like those wooden spoke wheels. What a historic piece for sure !!
You found the shifter in a junk yard?!! Nice! Bam, Shifty Josh, at it again.

Oh wow I didn't realize the ratios would multiply. The thing is a super crawler, video coming soon!

@@222packrat I did that last year at a truck show and won the slow crawl race.

Seat video coming up next!
Hey, would you be interested in sharing where your antique junk yard is...?
The guy that owns the yard is pretty private and its sort of open on a person by person basis so I don't really want to say where it's located.
Identifying rear ends...that's what do.
