- This is a how-to video on fitting the triple shot transducer. It came with my Lowrance Hook Reveal 7 unit. It is pretty simple and easy to fit. It has been tested and it works great. Hope you enjoy the video and hope it helps you out.

@@C3BFA Hi some people said the transducer too long and easy to get damaged… in my case, my motor will also block part of the transducer although there should be still 2 feet clearance…. Any advice? Thanks? Trying to decide between reveal and garmin 7sv….. thanks
I found it ok on my boat and it's only 4ft wide.
I have never used any other units but lowrance so can't comment sorry
Great video. I am glad you showed how to keep the transducer in the storage state to reduce the tension on the wire. My transducer is being delivered today and this video showed me everything I needed to know. Thanks.

One of the best videos on the install of the tripple shot transducer mounting.
I know the instructions do say to split the difference in mounting it.
I also watched a lowrance video and they said to keep the bottom of th÷ transducer flush to the bottom of the boat..
I guess you have to see what way works best!

Yes your right every hull design is different mine worked spot on in this position it would still pick up the bottom doing 12 knots it did break up a bit after 12 knots. But make sure you leave room for adjusting up and down on the screws and don't glue it till it's set spot on

What length is your boat ? Nice boat ideal size better launching it every time I had mine on mooring in cemaes bay and got engine stolen enjoying your channel just found it best wishes to you john

Are you sure it should be movable?
Yes. If you was to hit anything it will lift rather than snap
Very nice video sir. I would encourage also for those looking for a transducer mount that is not only strong, but protects the weak portion of the transducer around the pivot area to check out Ry Tek Marine's video on you tube. I just got mine today.

Ive made something like you yesterday, but now Iam thinking.. Iam using a 5hp engine, wont there be a problem with the sideview? Its next to it, so I hope, there wont be a shade, or something.. Didnt you have had some issues? (if you are using a gas engine). Thanks!
Side scan works like a torch beam it's not 180 degrees so you should be OK. Yes mine had a gas engine

No it's all fine used it loads. Actually sold this boat now I'm rebuilding a boat it's bigger and better
Hey man, I hit a stump a while back and it grazed my transducer, and ever since then my sidescan has one side that is just a bunch of random waves and my chirp sonar just has a big red screen, and it’s not showing any depth. I’ve replaced the transducer, performed a hard and soft reset and it’s still doing the same thing. If you know what might be wrong with it, any insight would be amazing thanks man.
I don't have a clue victor. If it's a new one it should work fine it dont make sense

Our new Hook 7TS keeps saying on Sonar screen “STOPPED”
Then again it says “Transducer Not Detected”. What could be the problem?
Hard to say is it in warranty ?
Could be a bad connection / bent pin
Or faulty transducer
Ours was doing the same thing. My step son found in some comments on some video someone said to make sure your cords on the back of the unit are pushed in super hard! That took care of it!

why not just take the cable over the transom rather than through it, it's just another avenue for transom rot.
You could do that but it's liable to damage being over the gunnel.
@@C3BFA I have never had issues. Id rather replace a cord than a transom.
I wouldn't risk it myself. I'm rebuilding a boat transom now and I will be putting wire through this transom Aswel and I feel it looks neater
Also no matter what you do there's holes put in the transom so one more small hole isn't going to make it rot any faster than it is already
@@C3BFA I fibreglassed a 1" glass panel on my 233 formula so I don't put holes in the transom.
