Hello and welcome to Cardigan Bay Fishing Adventures, my name is David Barber. We Fish Cardigan Bay, and St Georges, channel and also the Celtic deeps off the West Coast of Wales. We will target all species on this adventure, from small fish to big, we will also be targeting sharks. Fishing will be from the boats and as the winter draws in we will hit the shores with beach gear and target everything especially codling. I also do rig and baiting up tutorials, boat building and outboard engine work and on top of all that there is catch and cooks. and more. I Hope you enjoy watching the channel. Thanks Dave
Is this the BEST BASS FISHING location in the UK? fishing in Wales
In this video we head out from Aberaeron harbour and get it to some absolutely amazing bass fishing, most of the takes was on top water lures and Mark had quite a few bass on the sidewinder rattle back lure. There's a bit of banter left in for your enjoyment, there's a few different camera angles too the camera angle later in the video is perfect. I hope you enjoy this video as much as we did making it.
Thanks Dave.

Reinforcing a boat keel and hull with fibreglass

This episode of the nab 17 restoration, I reinforce the keel and hull with fibreglass. I also show the preparation stages and laying the glass so there's no bubbles or excess resin. This hull is now solid and will last years and years. Next stage is to sand the rest of the old paint off and skim over the new fibreglass with filler then sand it all nice and flat ready for paint. I hope you enjoy...

The first proper video on the cardigan bay coble. I went out to pull the pots, this boat is so good at sea we had a 5 to 10 mph westerly wind which can be nasty on our coast. This coble handled it no problem. I hope you enjoy the video. Thanks Dave Instagram. cardiganbayfishingadventures Facebook fishing group. groups/589498471718375/ TikTok. www.tiktok.com/@cardigan...

Great video dave .Good to see u out on the fish .far more enjoyable for u than getting coverd in fibreglass. Lol.tight lines
Thanks Rob, and yes it is I hate fibreglass 😂
Great boat with fantastic sea keeping qualities! I owned one for around 30 years and there were lots of them over hear on the North East coast. The boat is a Pebble Coble (not a Triton Coble) and were built in Hornsea. I would recommend a tiller extension so that your body is bit further forward when you are out on your own. This will drop the bow a little bit for you. Fantastic boat that will serve you well👍
@@SteveHeighton-o6m thank you Steve, it's good to hear about them. I might get an extension and give it a try it's a great boat the more I use it the more I love it handles amazing easy to control when coming in to the slipway etc and it's very stable.
Plenty bass just down coast from you in Cardigan too! - been out in the boat Tues/Wed and Thurs and getting 5 or 6 bass in 20 mins on the ebb before going in
Sounds perfect. Are you finding bigger fish yet?
@@C3BFAbeen getting a lot of small schoolies lately [about 1-1-1/2 Ib ] but his week out to sea in the boat they are getting a bit bigger [2-3Ib] Did have one that dived and had hell of a struggle pulling it in but it dived and the lure got snagged and broke the line
@@44Celt same as here really this month we should get a run of bigger fish
Well done chaps 👏👏 , has mark still got his boat ?

Can we get to the South Beach to fish yet. Some nice Bass you had there.
No it's all fenced off still and I think it could be till some time next year unfortunately. Thank you they was a bit small but I enjoyed it still
😊 morning mate, always great to see the fish coming up. 👍😎
It is we had fun this day it's shame there was no big big fish but we can't pick the sizes unfortunately. Thank you for watching I appreciate it

Good to see you back out on the bass Dave, only small fish but great fun on the lures, nice video pal,
Thanks Paul, yes lots of smaller ones unfortunately but I still love it.
Enjoyed that Dave 👍🏼 yous had a busy trip out!
Thanks sloth glad you enjoyed it. Yes it was pretty hectic to be fair a few bigger fish would be nice but I'm not complaining
Great video, as always . Nice to see plenty of bass about. Love the boat, Dave . Cheers and tight lines.
Thanks nick, it is a great boat to be fair.
Too many at it you can't keep pumping without damaging the stock

If you are into useless information, as for the tool you made to trace the outline, ancient cultures hung a weight on it as a plumb bob to keep it straight up and down so as to make it more accurate.
@@onenewworldmonkey I don't think that's useless information it's a good tip
Good work on the repair. It's going to be a boat to be proud of when you're done. Spray first and then flip before starting on inside. Getting paint on the outside is going to be a huge moral booster to you going ahead on the project. Don't rush it, the end result will be so much better when you’re done. Thanks for taking the time to clearly explain what you're doing whilst being under the restrictions of resin working times.
Thank you for your comment people like you watching ans commenting make it worth taking the time to explain things so thank you. I do believe spraying first woeul be the way to go I agree I'm just worried about protecting it when I flip it back and get it on the trailer
@@C3BFA That's always a risk, but spraying once it has been flipped will be harder to do on outside of hull. Neither way will be a doodle but I'm sure you'll be making a top job whatever you decide.
@anotherangleUK thank you I do agree
That’s a great repair job and well explained. I would think it’s easier to paint it now then flip it not sure tho
Thanks Lee. I think your right painting now would be better I think, well not better but easier. Thanks for your input I appreciate it
Proper job. I think I would be inclined to spray in separate sessions, nothing worse than something not going right and having to do the entire thing again as opposed to just doing a section again.
Thanks Rob. I think I may have to spray it all at the end I dont think it's the best idea to spray on my back when doing hull it will be hard work but think I may have to
Well it looks like your doing a good job, best of luck.
@@johnevans4516 thanks John this is a huge set back tho unfortunately
A bit of an inconvenience there Dave but very fixable. I take it you have considered re gel coating the hull as opposed to painting?
@@thomashill979 massive inconvenience I have to cut the new internal stringers out and grind it all back again. I was just going to paint it all with 2k paint
Well done for taking the steps now to prevent nightmare later! Any thoughts on what caused the original damage?
Thanks sloth. It's impossible to say really. It may of been poor work from the original mold or it could of had an impact or boat filled with water while on a trailer. All I knkw is if I didn't grind the whole crack out it would of showed through the paint eventually do it had to go but numpty here makes it 10x worse 🙄🙄🙄😭😭
Hi Dave. Wouldn't be able to resist spraying the hull, then flip it carefully. For me, it would spur me on! Just my opinion! Cheers and tight lines.
@@Nicknofish ye I do think it would be the better option but at the moment funds are tight plus I'm not sure how long it would be till I get to spray the top of the boat ans worried the paint may go off
@@C3BFA fair shout. Nothing cheap these days. Cheers.
@@Nicknofish it's a difficult choice. Also have mot in August car needs around £500 on it 😭
Hi you may find it easier if you reduce thd amou t of line on your real, just an idea

Hiya mate. Do you use leaded rope from the buoys to the first pot?
Hi mate I've followed this tutorial when I've come to run it there seems to be more water coming out around the lower unit than I've noticed before like out from one of the 4 nuts you take off to remove the lower unit and occasionally from the gap just above the the lower unit. Tried using a teaser a few years back with sub surface lures and had a few catches . Forgot all about using them again this year and after watching this tried last night [9th July] using a small plastic white sand eel [1" long] in front of a Patchinko. 3 bass in 3 casts . Been having a lot of blanks lately but they were really nailing the small eel teaser - also, catching a lot of bass on silver mackeral traces - they seem to be only after the smaller bait fish in my area [Cardigan]
That's brilliant celt. The bass seem more interested in my teaser too. In this video it was gar fish obviously but a suggestion from a follower was the gar fish went for the teaser ans got foul hooked on the treble behind I think that is very possible. I'm only 20 mins down the coast from you I am Aberaeron. Thanks Dave
