That mounting bracket has a guide hole for the transducer cable. I am pretty sure you're supposed to run the cable up the transom before you tighten down the bracket. That's how I did it anyway.

Exactly what I was thinking,there's a cable guide cut out for the cable to run behind the bracket and up the transom
Your cable from the transducer should have been run under the bracket, there is a notch cut out for it to keep it flush with the transom.

Tip use electrical tape for back pulling cables, alot stronger that painter's tape. Especially good for the tight spots where you have to pull with some force.

If anyone is looking for a solid transducer mount for the triple shot, look at Ry Tech's marine video on you tube. I just got mine today and and couldn't be happier. In addition to being a strong mount, it doubles as a protector for the weak point of the transducer in the pivot area.

Noticed my temp showed no readings along with no bottom reading while on the trailer after installinig the unit. Called Lowrance they told me it has to be in the water. , and the instructions note that as well. I can pick up bottom although not accurate with my Elite 5 in the other boat. The new style connector with is kinda the same as my old Eagle Optima. The connector went in hard ( it was lined up) turned on , had mapping, and all screens with surface clutter but no bottom and not temp. so thinking transducer. Last chance before calling for service, pulled the unit and really pushed on the transducer connector in., then had both and temp and bottom in auto mode. Sharing this because I really thought the connector was seated before. So recheck if you experience this. The old screw lock is a more positive connection but a harder cable to fish do to the connector. Also I rechecked my transom angle on my Lund fisherman is 13 degrees. Had indexing on "A" setting which was for 14 degree transom. Resetting to "B"setting and transducer is is now perfectly inline with the bottom of the boat!

What about the fuse little Black box that came with it.
The only thing I don't like about that triple shot transducer is the ridiculous length. Knowing how clutzy I am, one of these days I'm going to accidentally walk by and bump it off, haha.

that 399 version doesn't have mapping, the hook2 7 with mapping is 599
kelly dray can you install or buy a map for the 7x the 399 or it dont have that option?
the cheaper on has no mapping alltogether you cannot buy a map chip for it
Ya didn’t run transducer lead through bracket properly or use the 3amp fuse supplied with unit…
Justin maybe you can help me. I have a new Hook reveal 7 SS on my new 2020 Tracker pro 170. I powered it on the same lead that the stock lowrance used to be on the boat. It gets power from the crank battery as suggested by Lowrance. It works good but whenever I accelerate to get on plane the unit turns off. I soldered the leads to make sure of a good connection to no avail.
I bought one month and I do not know if it happens to you that at 175 feet it stops working and it does not give depth yours works well in deep waters I apologize I do not speak English and I am translating the text if you can answer me thanks
Quick question...with the side scan do i have to worry about my outboard blocking the view of the side scan when using the tripleshot transducer.
When you hooked up power cord you said that you spliced it to the TRANSDUCER CABLE. Did you mean to say POWER CABLE? I'm asking because my old unit has power and transducer cable all in one cable but my new HOOK 9 came with power cable and separate transducer cable.
Will mounting it like where u mounted yours with the motor trimmed all the way down and turned to the left will it hit the transducer? Or is there still plenty of room?
It shouldnt hit , you can test it out before you launch it anyway

I guess you could if you wanted to mount that giant ass tripleshot transducer to the bottom of the trolling motor.....
Where's the inline fuse
Just installed my triple shot. On the trailer, Sonar screen shows a white screen and sixty feet the is some surface clutter scrolling... think its working? simulator ok, mapping ok My elite 5 on my other boat shows 5 feet and bottom. Also I do not feel a pulse when I put my hand on the transducer. Is this normal for auto mode on this unit? I can't water test until vacation. Any way to verify out of the water. Manual mode at 5 feet with sensitivity up will show some top to bottom clutter. Thanks in advance.

Hey there.. Aug 2018 bought the hook2 7x tripleshot that worked fine before storing the boat for winter. Put boat in water today hooked up the unit and to fi d out temp and depth are showing 000 and 2d sonar shows white screen and di, Si shows nothing aswell. Transducer was not hit or moved when stored. What could be the problem? Thanks In advance

absolutely, you just need to mount it to make sure it has a clear line of sight so the engine won't interfere with the side imaging.

I have a Boston Whaler Montauk. I have a main motor and a kicker on the right side. I'm concerned if I mount the transducer between the motors on the right side it would get interferance when I use the kicker motor. Is it ok to mount on left side?

Okay so he missed the bracket clip and im confused on the instructions for the transducer says just below water level hes got that thing a foot to deep
Taping the cable to the old cable is a great idea..... Unless the geniuses zip-tied the transducer cable to the other cables...
HOW LONG DOES IT REALLY TAKE TO INSTALL THE LOWRANCE TO THE CONSOLE???? I AM ABOUT TO PURCHASE ON OF THEM AND I HAVE TO DO IT MYSELF.
depends on you and your boat== are you proficient at this kind of thing? - is there a clean source of 12v at the console? is there an easy place to put the unit? do you need special mounts? Have you run the wires for transducers? All that varies from boat to boat- it really just depends.

Yes it should come in the packaging, and you have to tie it in under console to the hot wire
