tis wot bort me here [ and actually i love this version too pluss i think my neighbours will ......later ....when i explain it was me on the bodhrain at fuk knows a clock in the morning]
Thanks for uploading this piece of music. I like it very, very much! King of the fairies and coleys are some of my favourite tunes. How is the guitar tuned? Is it Dadgad or Eadghe?
Shame can't really hear the guy playing is it the bones? The speedwagon reel imo it's ok to compete with yourself speedwise playing a piece on the fiddle, when you are practising, something like this occurred among a 'set' of musicians in Ireland, and I always recall my Father lamenting the speed competition they seemed to be in. The music loses it's humanity when played too fast, I know, I have speed playing contests with myself on fiddle, but I also comprehend that's not how it should be played. Bluegrass is more suited to this speed playing. You don't see classical musicians speed their way through Bach just to prove how fast they can play it.
Actually it's just a shaker, but thanks for your interest. As far as the speed, sometimes it just happens as the excitement of playing the piece builds. We strive to maintain a steady rhythm, but we are just human...LOL
In the six years since you posted it has got no better. Far too many sessions have degenerated into p1ssing contests ... who can get to the end of a tune first. To play a tune at a nice steady pace is very often more demanding on the player affording for for subtle ornamentation and the injection of character or feeling into a piece, Folks who play regularly for dance will recognize this.
These musicians are great. What a nice surprise. Love that fiddle.
Hey, thanks! I've got more to upload from another show but have been lazy getting it done.
King of the Fairies has a wonderful, slightly sinister feel to it. Great stuff folks
Thank you very much!
They would be fun to see live I'm sure. And I can tell that the fellow who does the bodhran and the emcee part has a gift for storytelling
Sailors horlpipe and that bodhrán 😊❤

It was just in standard tuning. Thanks for the comment!
Omg I adore this!
Thank you so much!
What the hell is George R R Martin doing there?
he is a man of many talents
LOL, I admit, I had to look up who that was, wasn't sure if you were insulting or complimenting me... Thanks! ;-)
He plays folk music and therefore he has no time to write on "the winds of winter"-
Don’t worry, he’s an absolute legend! I would definitely take it as a compliment.

Don't fuck up hornpipes like Rights of Man by speeding them up! Otherwise, great!
