I'm of Irish descent. According to my father, my great grandmother believed the Little People moved her barn at her home in Donegal, saving it from being struck by lightning. He said that if you argued with her, you got lashed with the stick. She was fierce. She had rats in her American basement which she referred to as "country gentlemen" and she was not afraid of them. She would send my dad downstairs to fetch something as a child and would tell him to "just throw a shoe at them." As an old woman, she dug up flowers and shrubbery at a local Rhode Island park and planted them in her own garden. She had the most beautiful garden. When a policeman told her one day, "Ma' am, you can't do that," she laughed and said, "who's going to stop me?" RIP Rose Breslin - Your flowers still bloom today.
Wonderful story! Have you ever seen the movie "Harold & Maude"? You might enjoy it, as I think the character of Maude might remind you of your great grandmother.

My Mum and Dad also came from Donegal and us children were brought up in Glasgow,Scotland. Do not recall being told about fairies but always about the Bogey man who would get you if you were naughty. My Mum was also fierce she once chased a big man with a brush for complaining about my brother.
My Irish great grandmother pitched a fit when my grandmother wanted to get married in emerald green. She said the fair folk would spirit her daughter away if she wore that colour. This was during the second world war. So people still took these entities pretty seriously, fairly recently.
So did she get married in green?
My grandmother, long gone from this earth, use to make dresses for the wealthy ladies in her community and she would also make our dresses and winter coats to help out. However, she would never make us anything in green nor would she paint any rooms in her house green, it was considered a “bad luck” colour.

My childhood home was 5 mins from a fairy fort here in Ireland. Let me tell you from experience, it’s a dizziness when you walk through it that can’t be replicated. It’s almost like a derealisation. I often played in there with friends. But we never stayed too long. The fairy fort still stands and they are protected and cannot be destroyed by law.

Here in Hawaii, we have the Menehunes. I believe every culture all over the world each have their own folklore of little people with mystical powers.
In Iceland, the hidden folk that live in the volcanic rocks look out for people, but cause mischief 🧝🏻♀️

Growing up in northern Scotland I was told all about the faerie folk. My mum still calls small cakes faerie cakes ☺️they are alive and well!
I grew up in Glasgow but my dad was irish so I learned about kelpies and selkies from my mum and leprechauns and changelings from my irish granny
We still have fairy cakes here in Essex.
@Wynter Reign yes they are tiny cupcakes with currants in them and plain on top. They are usually cooked in floral frilly cake cases....well they are here in Essex. Always give one to the fairies!
Any recommendations for people who want to learn more about them? I'm Scottish and Irish but the language and stories weren't passed down. Its quite sad to keep that I missed out on that part of my heritage and now im trying to learn about it!
@@maggiethedruid9010 I would check out Lady Gregory's Complete Irish Mythology. It's more Irish-centred than Scottish, but there's some crossover. Scathach the great warrior woman lived and trained heroes on the Isle of Skye, and when Clann Uisnigh ran as refugees from Ulster they made for Scotland.
Here in southern England almost all of this is lost and replaced with the Disney fairy. It’sa shock to many that stone circles were being destroyed right up to the 50’s by airfields and quarries. And burial mounds by deep ploughing in the 60-70,s. They have tried to destroy the ancient link to the land. But the faerie can be felt in the beautiful places, the springs and the quiet corners.
Here in the States, one could probably say that we've almost eliminated all remnants of the original spirits of the land with our foolish progress, or better described as money hoarding and wealth building. It still remains in limited forms, in limited areas, but it feels thin, violated, and evacuated. We are a slob like people here, progressing materially but regressing spiritually, intellectually, and without any shred of interest in wisdom. And what little natural old places that are left become over trodden by thrill seekers or developed into more concerns for wealth building.
We are like children in a museum who just cannot read the sign that says, “look but don't touch.”
But I have to wonder if there will be a day or era of reckoning at some point. Years ago, as a younger man, when standing in certain areas, I could feel the deep well of sadness mixed with a horrid anger within the land. And even at that time, I knew that all patience had long since been lost. It would be a new but hard era for sure. When the land that has provided for our wealth and progress (or more like, had been raped and pillaged) would start to shutter its stores and begin reclaiming that which we had slovenly taken from it.
I doubt I will be around when it happens, but I can see it already beginning. My health isn't good, and I know that I have more years behind me than before me now. I only hope that those who do care, or try to live lightly as best they can, will be spared -- at least.

The worship of the Dragon & serpent are literally the worship of Satan's original beast form before he was cursed by God in Eden/ Shamballa /Shangri la. Notice the feathered headdresses of antiquity by the majority of Native American tribes.
Still preserved in Kent woodlands and coastal areas. It's among the Roma community too.
You know, I've always found the traditional tales of fae to be much more interesting than the Fantasia fairy spin-offs. As an animator and designer/developer, they have a lot more potential for media, too; on account of being more believable and resonating.
I don't know that I can fault Disney's Nine Old Men with much; but as an act of respect to both our own spirituality world, and our artisan predecessors, it's time to open our ears and move on from that.

In india in northern Himalayan region we have fairy mountain and we are not allowed to wear bright or perfumes while we are in jungle areas it is said "if they loved your smell or color they will dispear you forever.. and there are several people who got 1 hour to say good bye to there family and were taken forever..
in our local language fairies are called "aachuri"

In Bangladesh we call them 'fori'. Obviously that's very similar to fairy but I've never found as explanation as to how it is that some Bangla people believe in them.

I moved to Ireland 3 years ìago, a place called mullagh na sì (fairymount) and there's a fairy fort a field away from my land. I'd love to go pay homage but don't want any nasty things to happen. My neighbours grandson looks like a changling to me, with amber eyes and snow white hair( his parents are blue eyed and brown/red). I'm English but have been fascinated with Celtic tales since I was s child. By the way, I've been very happy here, blessed with good fortune, neighbours and loving soulmate, but gotta share this. I planted trees out in the furthest corner nearest to the fort and one of them moved! The ground was not disturbed but it definitely wasn't where I put it! I guess it must've blocked one of their power lines or pathways so I let it be.

This one is tucked out sight from everyone in forestry but can be seen from the air which is how I found it😉😁😃
You could try honey milk or small offerings near the trees you planted. They generally respect ppl who are good to nature... not to anthropomorphize them...

The Fae are here always, and always have been. Here in Australia they are just as vibrant and loved. I’ve been a believer my whole life, my family is Celtic and we have always loved the Fae and l trust them implicitly. I have had so many strange experiences...they are more real than we ever will be.

Been seeing fairies for 15 years as energy beings in spirit form. They manifest in many ways through nature. I see/feel them often in Victoria through butterflies, dragonflies, thistle seeds and the Superb Fairy Wrens to name a few :D
I've started on my own path in contacting them. They can be malevolent, to the ones who disrespect them, but from my own experience, even though seeing/feeling one can be shocking, I've never got the impression that they were evil. See y'all at the Crossroads of Magick...

@@redwolf7929 If that's they case then there is no wrong believes. The differences could be enviromental they could be different entities but the same type accross the world. So Norse, or Amerindian, West African can be different entities but the same kind of entity. It could be beings from another dimension or when we die we enter dimensions above the 4th. Maybe that's were the pineal gland comes in. So much to explore.
There are over 15000 different types of faeries here in the U.K., only 4 of which can be considered benign or friendly. Traditional Celtic faery tales were never intended for kids and rarely had happy outcomes. in many ways, they resemble later alien abduction stories, telling of people getting lost in 'pocket dimensions' for decades or giving birth to odd hybrid other -worldly children after being taken away. Most of what I know about this subject was taught to me by my grandfather who was an arch druid and was contemporary with men like Gerald Gardener and Aleister Crowley.
Always cross examine everything these beings say to you. if they lose patience or tell you 'time is running out' then they are trying to deceive you and are the 'bad ' sort. A good spirit will always take the time to reassure you and NEVER eat or drink anything they may offer you or you will be lost forever.

You should certainly avoid concern for time. That is the essence of the battle with Kronos, but all the same, it is good to work fast, and get a lot done, while you have the chance.

@@onemysore6120 Sadly doesn't work. It would be an incredible stretch to believe those folk trapped by faeries for decades, never once crossed water in all that time. People trapped by faeries will do literally anything to escape. Anything. Not, Anything other than cross a body of water.
However, if you do get grabbed by a faery, there are occasions on which, the faery may be more easily forced out, if you have a water flow to attach it to.
So, water is certainly useful for dealing with them, but it's not some kind of magical charm. It is only effective in certain circumstances
Here in the Philippines we have Duwendes, Diwatas, Nuno sa Punso and Enkanto. They are all members of the Encantados. Some say they live in the City of Biringan. More like Agartha as there are portals in where you can access their hidden world. I really believe these creatures existed as there are stories all over the world.
I remember them, my grandparents tell stories about them.

Whenever someone has an incident to share, it is all speculative. I can't prove this story because, well, you'll see. When I was a teenager some years ago, I was walking home on a very blustery day in the Spring in East Tennessee. It was a lively mid-day, with gray clouds and a heavy wind. Whirlwinds were in the park in plenty. As I walked, I became enamored of one of these whirlwinds close by. As I watched it hurtling leaves and debris about, suddenly, all the world changed around me. The air no longer appeared like air, but a thicker, heavier substance like water. The whirlwind itself changed. Within it was a tall human-like being, nearly 7-7 1/2 feet all (approx. 2.28 meters). I recall making out that this "being" such as it was, was flipping and somersaulting and jumping and whirling around in chaotic abandon. It seemed to me that it possessed dragonfly wings and large oval eyes. I seem to recall it wearing some sort of garment. Anyway, it bounced and whirled and flipped limberly, as if having a fun and joyous time. Then as I stood there, this being became aware of me. It stopped, looked at me, and in shock in seeing me (as much as I had seeing it), jumped and flipped backward over a trash dumpster where it disappeared. The world around me flashed and all was put back to normal again. What's stranger still is that I continued my walk home and it wasn't for a few long minutes of sitting at home when the memory of what transpired came to me. There was a strange out-of-mind sort of feeling. I like to attribute the experience to the actual witnessing of one of these creatures, although I haven't had anything like that happening again.
I seriously think everybody gets a glimpse of the unseen, but few believes what they see. I wondered if I was going crazy from my brief experience that only happened once. It took 30 years and listening/reading NDE's to believe the unseen is real.

Don't know how deep you've gone down that rabbit hole, but just in case you or anyone else is curious check the work of Dr. Jim Tucker and others at the University of Virginia. They are studying NDEs, children with memories of past lives, out of body experiences, consciousness, psi, mediums, channeling, etc. There's a ton and all the info they have is astounding. It is absolutely fascinating and I'm glad at least one group of people is trying to apply the scientific method to fringe and paranormal topics. He "solves" something like 3/4ths of all past life cases, meaning he is able to trace the information to the person they were before. I'd be impressed if it was 1/10, but 3/4ths is substantial. Some even being born with birth defects that align with the previous body. It seems like there may be a connection to these kids and having violent or sudden deaths like jumping out of a window during a fire, a fighter jet going down, etc.
Has definitely changed my worldview. I'm still more science-brained, but I think bridging the gap between the two is going to result in some astonishing discoveries.

I thought I’d see you here. The blonde description of Air Faeries made me think of your theory that ‘fair’ haired people could have been valued for having supposedly neotenous traits.
I am wondering if, perhaps, such traits could have fed into the caste system of Indo-Europeans subjugating the local peoples in what would become Britain.
Ever-youthful ones, ever-living ones, these are the epithets of the fair folk. Anthropologically speaking, youth and beauty are the only traits sought to be confirmed by social conventions and traditions of conformity precisely because they are indications of health - this is merely the society confirming itself as a living entity, enacting itself as being alive. Preference of beneficial traits as per the socially determined elite aspects of the respective time-frame.
It could well be, with all the deific associations blondism has in the literature, that the blonde nobles (Indo-Europeans) saw themselves as descended from the gods, while the people they invaded were mere mortals.
This mix could have produced the Celtic identity, just as the modern Indians are themselves defined by their mixed heritage.
As unsightly as it may seem to modern people, if we cast our gaze away from the traces of caste systems in the past, we shall not see through the ages clearly.
And such poor knowledge shall not see us through them well.

I had realized the connection between soul and breath studying Greek and when I went to try and confirm the Gaelic connection I must have just quickly mistook the words in the edil dictionary based on the Old Irish being even more similar in various spellings. www.dil.ie/concise/1402
I’ve had an idea for a while now, I’m not sure if you are familiar with avatar; the last airbender, but I thought it was such a great way to portray eastern tradition and philosophy to a western audience in a fantasy style.
I thought maybe if something similar, but not the same or not clearly a rip off, but indeed it’s own thing was made like it with concepts of ancient western culture, the results may be a renewed interest in our ancestral culture among children.
In the same way that avatar divides the world into four nations, and four elements, vaguely resembling the Thai, Chinese, Tibetans, and Siberians/Inuit, this world would divide the world into three parts of the soul as described in one of your more recent videos, and the nations amongst a Celtic inspired, Germanic inspired, and helleno-roman inspired nations...

That's basically what Lord of the rings is, tolkein took his love of fairy tales and put them into his mythology. He took the fairy folk and integrated them as the elves we understand today.

The good folk aren't God's but have the ability to enter our world and the otherworld. When you visit these places there is a peacefulness which can fall on someone.

@@stasiusclay7348 II would like to be able to read that in English. I do not `believe` in the fairy folk. I have had the honor of seeing two of them, at different times. That is different than belief, which requires faith. I saw living proof, so I`d be an ass to deny them. I have never left the US, so I promise you, they got here somehow. What I believe, is that millennia ago there is a link to humans. Not that they are human. I do not mean to say that. The 2 times I SAW, were very different. The 1st one was having a hissy fit, and therefore became visible, I presume from his emotional overload. I was driving by slowly when I saw this. It was obvious why he was having a meltdown, so I yelled out of my car, to relieve his stress. Only then did he realize I saw him. I was on an onramp, so never got to see the expression of surprise, he certainly must have been wearing then. The 2nd encounter was in my home, because apparently now they knew where I lived. That encounter left me angry, but I have learned to laugh about it, and to treasure these unusual encounters.
They are not gods. They used to be though, until they were pushed bellow the soil.
Fairies are nature spirits, but most of them descend from the tuatha of danann who were forced to go underground.
Knowing all of this is what inspired me to write a fantasy novel, heavily inspired by Irish culture and its ancient religion. Also, would be cool to know the name of music in the background, it's perfect for these type of videos.

I like how you present your material in this video. It’s captivating, and unique compared to the rest of the faerie folk material available on the Internet. The topic of gods, faeries, and other mythological beings falls into the subjective truth category. We don’t really have evidence to be able to know the objective truth about these mythological races. So for now, each individual must do their own independent research, choose their own sources of information, and choose how they wish to fit the mythological races into their personal worldview. I see that you have established for yourself, based on the available information that you’ve looked at, that the faerie folk are spiritual in nature. I don’t yet know if I want to call the faeries spiritual, because I don’t really know what spiritual truly means. I personally view the world of matter/nature as spiritual. To me the physical is not separate from the spiritual. Humans have a soul, so this means that we are material and spiritual at the same time. This means we exist in a world of matter while being partly spiritual ourselves. Same goes for anything in nature, because all life has spirit and consciousness. So what really is spiritual? Is spiritual and other-dimensional same, or different? See it gets confusing. It might be that the faeries are multi-dimensional, and can move through different dimensions.
Sounds like you have been doing some deep thinking, I've been there myself. I started feeling like everything was connected somehow through the spiritual realms as I got into studying the Tarot, Numerology and Astrology in my search for spiritual truth. I've had many paranormal experiences that cleared up many doubts I may have had. I'm far from feeling like I have all the answers but I keep an open mind and weight everything within me. I know there is more to this world than meets the eye and that it is all connected to the spiritual realm of other dimensions of consciousness.
@@denisehill1705 Thank you for your reply. Yes I have been doing some deep thinking. I have a philosopher’s mind, and have been mystic minded from a young age. I’ve also always had a deep connection with nature, and the earth. From a young age I’ve been drawn to the past, to ancient, medieval, even Victorian times. Although I’m interested in myth & folklore of all indigenous cultures, my main interest lies with indigenous European/Teutonic and Slavic cultures. I’ve recently realised that my pull to the past was always ancestral, but I didn’t understand it until about 4 years ago. I was born & raised in Russia Rostov-on-Don, which is the homeland of my mother and all her family. My father and his whole family are Armenian, but unfortunately my parents never taught me Armenian culture or language, only Russian. At age 13 my parents moved our family to USA Florida. So I’ve lived in US for many years. It’s here in US is where I started discovering the truth about the hidden history, and native pagan spiritual heritage of my Slavic Russian ancestors. Prior to this discovery, I just associated the Russians with the orthodox Christian faith. Now I know that Christianity was never native to Russia, or anywhere in Europe. They all had their own native pagan faith, and Christianity actually played a very negative role in the history of the world, but that’s a topic for another time. I worked on the Hill of Tara bypass Road from Dublin to the town of Navan as an archaeologist. A lot of care was taken to respect the ancient ruins we discovered and to protect the beauty and integrity of Tara itself. The road is long finished but the old respect for the past is still there, even if we Irish do not largely believe in fairies anymore

I'm under the impression that fairy folk were the remnants of a past religion before indoeuropean influence. its probably a combination of spirits of earth, and water and trees etc. mixed with ancestor worship. Such that mounds of the dead would have been the home to such a combination and probably more powerful magic because of the admixture. Many mounds predate Indoeurope arrival.
I think I agree with you. Back in Roman times each home had a house spirit which might have been a holdover from spirits in the trees or stones that the house was built out of. I see a lot of similarities to British and European brownies, hobs, and other protector spirits.

I am from Newfoundland, there are a lot of stories about the fairies here. One of the oldest things was if you knew you were going to be out after dark you would keep a slice of bread in your pockets to give to the fairy's if they tried to come and take you away.

There also creatures in in the Philippines called aswang that were almost bad faries/demons that steal people's babies n stuff lol

This was really insightful. I'm here researching fairies for my children's book 'The Lost Harp'. The Giant in my story meets fairies in Donegal who guide him along his journey up the west coast of Ireland.
I was in the hospital years ago had a major operation and stayed three and a half weeks.The night before the operation was very sick but looked out the window and there was five little people ina circle I felt they were there to help meI never have saw them sick.The Great Serpent Mound is not far from this hospital.I had never thought of it since but made out well.

This channel is great as I've been researching the Fae for a while now. I guess it's safe to say that no one really knows what the sidhe origin really is as there are so many different theories. Doesn't mean I'll stop tho. I'm fascinated with the tuatha de.. I don't know why specifically them, but there something about the Irish mythology that just calls out to me.
I'm reminded of in scripture how when Christ commanded Lazarus to "come out" 'and the Spirit breathed life back into him'
Go back to Genesis. God breathed a spirit into the flesh and it made a soul. The flesh and spirit are components that joined make a soul. The spirit goes back to God at death to be re used.
Edit: Not saying your soul goes back to God or you in particular get reborn. I'm saying the you is a different thing than the components and one of them is reused and technically the other is replaced a few times a year.

@@codykondo6973 false. Abrahamic mythology stems from the Canaanite pantheon of the Eloha, the pre-Canaanite peoples originally came from Sardinia and the Iberian peninsula. The SAME Iberian peninsula that the pre-Celtic peoples came from. You go far enough back, you realize that the reason all the myth systems have so many similarities and universal stories is that they come from the same Neolithic beliefs. It's ALL connected.

There's nothing remotely funny or enchanting about having 'the sight'. As you are curious, I warn you: Be very careful what you wish for.
Many genuinely Irish have this. It warns of death of a loved one or friend. Usually within 2 to 3 months of getting a dream, audio warning, daytime vision where time and place do not exist. People are very wary of being in contact with these folk seeing it as more a burden or curse to those they come in contact with. They can foretell the future. They can heal people, animals, plants, land, bodies of water, air, things and buildings or? The opposite. Never make them mad. If they tell you something? It is to warn you for your benefit. If you refuse to hear them out or go too far and laugh and mock them? You will surely rue the day. It is not a joke or a party trick. Do not ask them to tell the future like a horoscope. If they have information to impart? They will tell you. Don't seek the unknown for entertainment it is taboo. Never trust one that demands payment for the telling. The help comes for free and is to be given freely. The gift can be removed if used unwisely or for profit. Your soul can be taken in ransome. Anyone that has it can have fun and enjoy themselves but on the whole? There is a heavy price to pay. The taking of your soul or a family member. Usually a child. Hopefully you understand this grave matter before you choose to proceed. Fair warning.

@@sheilasullivan1950 I so agree with you. I feel it is a curse most days as the visions are never good. I feel like a messenger and those who you give the messages too are ungrateful 99% of the time. The Fae are ethereals not lower level beings as in the video. I tried to help a family member realize when you break a promise to them it is an insult. She didn't listen so I stopped helping her. People who do not have the gift do not understand the burden. there are times that I am so depressed I do not want to get out of bed. This is why I tell people if you are not experienced and confident with your own abilities never ever mess with the unknown. I've said the same thing about wishes as well because you never asked for anything usually they will come to you and give to you freely. The only thing I asked them for was during a conversation many years ago with the fae I commune with I asked her to show me my bloodline origins. This was only after she told me I was one of them. But you're right they don't have to tell you anything and most of the time they will not and you have to word what you say to them very carefully which is what most people do not understand. People also don't understand that they do not like Gardens with images of them that insults them as well. There is a whole list of things that they find insulting and I was given that list the one that I leave offerings for and fiercely protects my yard everyday. Some are forthcoming and straight up and others are not it depends on the individual faerie. I have seen too many of the bad and evil entities in this world that do not belong here that have been brought by Mankind's negativity. Most people have always told me I wish I had your abilities. I always give them the same response and that is NO you don't. It's not all peaches and cream like you think. I am glad to have seen your response as I also tell people if you abuse your powers they can be taken away just as easily as they were given.They are a privilege not a right. You say fairies are definitely not gods, but if you believe the origin story that they're the Tuatha Dé, having gone underground or into the other world after their defeat by the Milesians, they are gods of a sort. I think there are different fundamental views on the origins and natures of the Sidhe, possibly a result of the fusions of ancient cultures.
They are diminished gods.

If your ever in Wicklow, ireland visit the pipers stones, it’s our little Stonehenge. I was there for the first time yesterday & had an amazing time. There were 3 fairy trees & people had left gifts for them & so did we. We meet a reiki healer there & it looked like a witches coven meeting 😂. I would always respect the fairy’s you just don’t mess with them.

First, before you move here, check practical things like cost of living, Western Washington's uncertain weather, politics and geology should also be checked. Western Washington is as expensive to live as New York. I lived through three earthquakes on that side of the Cascades, one was a 6.8 in 2002. I was also, here, for Mt. On the spiritual level. So many experiences I don't know where to start. We moved to Eastern Washington upon retirement because of cost of living and we wanted to live simply, grow our own food and raise hens. I own 10 acres near the Columbia river gorge. I've always had spiritual gift. It started soon after we started unpacking. There seems to be native American ghosts on my property. I 'see' one of them, frequently. Very rarely is it a full body apparition but he's definitely here. One time, I walked into my craft room and he seemed to be nearly dancing.. moving about. That room is really strange. It doesn't feel friendly. Lights sometimes appear there. -- a deep blue light, sometimes voices... I've heard drums late at night. (they may be actual drums, a native American lady told me they have ceremonies, but I can't be sure?) He stands at a window staring in. I can sense him. I've seen him as a bright white light walking around our work-shed, and also, in the house. I dreamed that there was a hunting party and they were attacked by their enemies. All were killed in a clearing near by. Last summer, I was already alone.. I went out to look for the comet, as I was walking, he was walking behind me. At first I thought it might be the spirit of my husband, but there was a creep factor I would not feel with him. Suddenly, I saw a very big bear running towards me. Just a quick vision. I would have been dead if it was a real bear. strangely, I realized the bear was in daylight though it was actually 11 PM. The spirit stayed with me until I returned home. I felt the vision of the brown bear was hostile in intent and I've considered using my Italian prayers and folk magic to block him better, but I pity him and his fellow lost souls.
Be conscious that this state is still very wild in places, the mark (spirits, energies/effects) of the Native Americans and nature in the raw, is stronger here. Wild, wild places.
There seems to be nature spirits also. I see them as little sparks of light of a golden or reddish gold hue, dozens of times, maybe hundreds. I am surrounded by forest on three sides. Sometimes I've seen them in very dark conditions, like after sunset, so not bugs glinting in the sunlight. - I think they are Fay folk. Perhaps actual fairies? I've never seen them as cute little creatures with wings, just lights where there should be none. Flying up a tree just before a thunder storm. I don't think we really understand this phenomena. The native Americans also believe in many kinds spiritual entities. I suggest reading about their beliefs. There are also pod casts on these subjects. One summer morning my husband was working in the chicken coop and I was in my herb garden. I heard the clearest most beautiful bell or chime I ever heard.. beautiful, quite loud.. It lasted at least 20 minutes. I looked all over but we had no bells or chimes hanging up. It wasn't a windy day so nothing metal was moving. I called my husband over and asked him if he heard it.. he didn't. I checked on line, even asked several of my pagan friends (I'm a Gnostic Christian) They suggested that I was seeing and hearing nature spirits? -fay folk?. The wild hunt. I finally went to the herb garden at sunset and I told the spirits that I respected them and if they wanted to take some of the leaves of my herbs or vegetables, feel free to take them, but not too much because we ate them, also. I heard a horn blowing from afar. Very, very distant. (imagine an ancient horn ) and heard horses galloping. In my imaginative eye, I saw men on horses, not literally, but as a vision.
There is a creature I see every so often - in the forest. It looks like it is entirely tan and peaks from behind a tree. It is short. Not sure what he is. he's not an animal. Too tall for that.
When my husband was dying, a great deal was happening. Death seems to attract these things. I saw a bigfoot walking past the back of our work-shed (its more like a barn) it was all black 'black as midnight' and I knew instantly it wasn't a physical creature. Bigfoot are not even reported where I live. I've checked. I also saw the sparks of light often, and what they call 'shadow people' several times. Since his death, I've had trouble with poltergeists and spirits, though, I use what my mother taught me to tell them to leave and use prayers in my own tradition for protection. I am sorry this is so long. I worked to trim it. KMH Yes, there is a lot more. This little forest of ours is rather strange. I always wonder are we surrounded by the spiritual realms and most don't see it? Or does the spiritual realms find those who are open to it and manifest more? A subtle difference?
Animus has a similar word in spanish ÁNIMAS that means spirits/wandering souls/ghosts as well.

I was just reading an art book by surrealist artist Leonora Carrington and she mentions that her nana used to tell her stories about the little people who lived underground and so strange to scroll down on you tube and see a video about it!
As a Shaman, I just want to just point out that Elves and Dwarves are not equal to the Fae. They are mortal, therefore are still within the realistic bounds of life on other planets. Fae are astral entities, they are more like sentient spirits who merged with an elemental aspect which is why they are also recognized as nymphs and satyrs. I understand that it was used as an example but Elves and Dwarves have more in common with humans than Fae. Lumping them together based on fantastical elements is like saying the ocean and deserts are the same cause they are all environmental features.

@@tanyaphilstrom7077 at this point, I've seen too much 👀 🤣 and Fae are... particular about who they speak to. Whenever I do hear from them, it's a complaint, but what else is new on this planet. The only thing I can tell you about Gnomes are that they don't like that name/image. Fae appear to us in true form, it's up to us to be clear in the mind to see them correctly. Otherwise your assumptions dress them up like a Boggart from Harry Potter (the only accurate piece of magical information in a book series about magic)
My local mine fae like to be called "Tommy Knockers" and I think that's Clever, Cool and Cute. Trinity approval from me.

@@adaman.shr.3538 they old gods aren't as endangered as they are portrayed by scholars. The Egyptian pantheon probably does this the most but the old gods are always reborn in new forms.
It's like a never ending Soap opera of divine proportions.
So don't worry, the earth is entering a new era and the everyone will meet the deities who govern over their respective aspects of their regions. The "collective will" of said theme per se. As each landscape is different, so are each variation of those deities.

Yeats has several poems which feature the Sidhe, “Hosting of the Sidhe” in particular. They also feature in “The Stolen Child”. There are others as well from his early period. To me there is a definite difference between the Fair Folk and the Tuatha de. You might consider the Fair Folk as the everyday citizens of the people under the hill and the Danaans as the aristocrats.

"shee" describes the fae folk; shee, fairies and their dwellings, fairy land. Sídhe = shee, the fairy race; as far as I can make out, same pronunciation. Example: Banshee (woman of the fairy mound). Other: "mounds" that dot the Irish countryside, which are known as síde (singular síd) in Old Irish.

My mothers family name is MacDubSithe. Many family histories have myths that give subtle explanations to the origins. My family is Scottish/Pictish by heritage and DNA (my DNA report showed tiny amount of Irish discerned as separate from). The Mac Dub Sithe lore is that they came from the water to settle inland (generally; the actual story is much fancier and full of mythical symbols. But the DNA report also discerns this Genetic line from welsh and Nordic). It’s hard to give a whole identity to the sithe. All myth and symbol is both literal and metaphorical.
I sat amongst the roots and long branches of a Moreton Bay fig tree, in the grounds of an ancient and important Maori pa and looked out towards sthe Manukau Harbour to the heads where the harbour met the Tasman Sea. The sun was nearly set and and was plunging into the deep ocean. Under the gloomy branches, I could see the Fae/patupaiarehe dancing-their silhouettes obvious to me against the setting sun...There were 15 patupaiarehe or so, and each one was around 40 to 50 centimetres tall.......

Not always them. Recently has been malevolent spirits who remained here from 2020 due to toxic people. You really have to anger them for them to mess with your stuff. Please investigate every other option first.

Not bad, but lots missed and possibly misunderstood at the end. The underworld fairy in English and Irish folk Whispers are neather good nor bad...they could curse or bless dependant on the person.
Brownies are the helpful ones in Ireland and were left milk and biscuits (happy hedgehogs those days).
Water: Undines are elementals most often female in form, which is see through wipsy and eligant traditionally
(and my experience in North Wales), that eminate an innocent sweetness that call to your feelings of longing for home (also told regarding sailors called into the sea).
Gnomes: Earth elementals
Often appear to careful loving gardeners. Possibly akin to lepricorns.
Sylphs: Air
There are elf's most commonly seen with the 3rd eye and felt, sometimes sparkles accompany this experience. Found in anchent forests like Wistmans wood, Or parts of Wales. They will attack with elf shot if you carry Iron, they do not like it, neather do trees. Elf shot is invisible, but felt. Look at Saxon herb lore, there are lots of references.
Then there are the Shee, the Gentry from Tir Na Nog (look it up).
They are tall, not small. They are akin to the wild Hunt of Norway and Irleand.
They are the ones that have been known to take folks away at times, found in Irish mithology.
They have been often seen traveling in a sparkling silver mist.
These I have been lucky enough to see with the physical eye, one Samhain night.
My 6 year old step son said "is that them" and pointed. A sparkling mist (slug shaped) moved up a hill in front of us, in a most uncanny way.

The daione sidhe are the tuatha de danann, they are still alive because the milesians (gaels/irish) interbred with them. The tuatha de Danann are the bronze age civilization of Ireland, and before them came the men of the bag, probably remnants of the civilization before the younger dryas. And even before them were the Formorians, maybe Neanderthals or some long forgotten other race of men.
I've heard the idea of Seelie and Unseelie is a more modern creation. Do you know anything about that?

@@GothiGrimwulff they made the first book into a movie but tbh as a fan of the books it was crap. Sure a good movie if you haven't read the books but it only kept the bare bones of the story and changed everything else. If you're a fan of fantasy and things like faeries, warlocks, vanpires, demons etc I'd go with the books. Believe it or not that one film that took 3 years to make got 14% on rotten tomatoes
Seelie and Unseelie is a very christian concept of the Faeries. So, yes, more modern in that the concept came with the christian missionaries, but still old.

The fairies could shape-shift and also be taller. The fairies are said to be the old negative blood type the oldest blood there is. This word connected to the Angelic realm to I believe probably why they're empathic.
