    Love her! She's the reason I opened ROTH IRA in my 20's when no one around me taught me anything about successful finances. Her advises are reasonable and logical.

      @Robert Patterson her advice is nothing but living below your means, opening ROTH IRA and 401k, don't take out expensive loans, save 6-8 months worth of living expenses in case you are laid off. If that scares you, a big FU to you, wimp.

    Wished knew Suzy Ormand as came out of College, done differently !
    Suzy you should introduce to colleges in America, a course of life economics! Just like should teach a course on mindfulness and life’s values! 🙏

    She is amazing! I admire her so much and wish to be able to one day meet her in person and attend one of her seminars. I also want to come to her for a family financial advice . It doesn’t have to be free but I wish that is affordable. If someone can tell me how to reach her I will be grateful for ever.

    Rule one reminds me of Jordan peterson’s 12 rules for life. Do what is meaningful, not what is expedient.

    Also I'd like to clarify another point. Suze says Randy was "an idiot broker...if he can get a job, I certainly can". Randy graduated from a top prep school, was accepted to Harvard, but instead went to another top University where he played division one hockey and graduated with honors.

      Well now you will realize why it's actually easier for Boomers back then unlike Millennials and Zoomers. Not to mention even more expensive school tuition, and expensive housing YET very low wages. Perfect recipe for killing the middle-class income bracket which is a catalyst for becoming a 3rd world country.

    I am the widow of Randy, the broker Suze dealt with at Merrill Lynch, and I want to make it clear (since Randy is not here to defend himself) that Suze is lying about what happened. Randy was a brand new broker (age 24) when Suze came to ML to invest her money. She invested her money in options, and was told the risk of doing so at the time. Her line that the manager said "that crook makes us a lot of money" is a lie. Randy worked in the Oakland office for two years as a new broker, and made very little money as he was just starting out. He wasn't fired either. We moved back to the East Coast where we both were from, and he continued as a consciencous financial advisor until he died prematurely. I have a box of letters from his past clients expressing how much Randy went out of his way to help them in any way he could. I know nothing about the validity of her other statements, but I can prove everything I have stated above.

      I don't know about your husband and I am sorry for your loss, but Merrill Lynch did something very similar to my elderly mother and made a similar comment when asked about it.

    I have no proof, but that opening story sounds like a complete fabrication. She gets 50 grand and loses it all and acts like she is a victim. Are you kidding me?

  • @knucklehoagies
    @knucklehoagies 4 роки тому +3

    She lied about what happened to the $50k. She gambled it away but didn't want to include that in her story because it wouldn't make her sound good so she just blamed her financial advisor. She pissed away all that free money away essentially.
