You make that look so easy and you look awesome with the shaved head. I'm envious!
Thank you. It definitely looks better than a receding hairline and a bald spot.
@@ShaveWithThomas Oh, I think a shaved head looks better than hair. I'm a bald by choice fan.
@@rjcarter2904 I actually think it helps my mental state when I shave my head versus let it grow out.
I think that I'm going to shave "across the cap" then "around the crown". First, from left, to to right. Then, from right, to left.
I hope that it will appear even enough.
Definitely do whatever works for you. There’s not really a right or wrong way, just what you prefer and best for you.
Yeah I tend to get little pimples on the back of my head. I had a commenter suggest that I use a shampoo that didn't have mineral oils and one with lactic acid. I picked up a bottle of Burts Bees Shampoo and it seemed to help clear up the back of my neck. Although I still get them from time to time
Great instructional video! The Mach III is a great is a great razor. I blade shave occasionally. I have also been using the Wahl charge/chord powered face shaver. It is also great for head shaving. I shave my head against the hair root grain. The clippers seem to pull a little of the root. My head feels nice and smooth when I am finished. However, I do love the feel of a shaving cream and blade shave. it feels soothing. You have a nicely shaped head for a clean shaved look. Great looking man!
Thank you. I have never used face shavers. I tend to shave infrequently and shavers seem like they wouldn't handle more than a day's growth too well. I did tryout the Philips Norelco OneBlade electric razor a few years ago. I was pretty impressed. It didn't give a super close shave, but it did handle longer hair a lot better than your typical cartridge razor. I guess more similar to a set of clippers than a cartridge razor though.
Mach3 is Amazing. Nice head shave with mach3
Thank you.
Cool you should trim it short with a Close trimer Then Shave your Sides Down First Then the Top of your head Second. Then Lather And Shave The Sides Up Then The Top Up That way Your Razor Last Longer And You Get Less Iratation...
Ese.Chicano Navarro I don't like to use hair trimmers, I just like to shave it all at once. With that being said the only time I use cartridge razors to shave my head is when I'm making videos for UA-cam. Most of the other times I tend to stick with straight razors, shavettes, and feather razors.
Thank you for the suggestions on shaving technique. :)
+++. mach 3 my go to razor bro.
I actually haven't used one for quite a while now.
Mach3 turbo is the best razor. I shave my head with mach3 turbo or Gillette fusion proglide flexball or proshield chill
Best to do it in shower. Its much quicker there and leave the shower running so its easier to wash the razor after every stroke.
That actually makes a lot of sense. However, I would be worried about potentially dropping it.
great bro
l also like clean shave 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you.

huh that came out better than I thought - I have a shit ton of unused mach 3's because I switched to a trimmer, but I'm gonna have to try this. If it's taking too damn long, I'll just go with a Headblade or something. They seem rather quick.
Were you subscribe to some type of service that shipped you replacement blades each month? I can't imagine having more than a package laying around. On second though, I guess if you buy one of those bulk packages you could have a decent amount lying around. If I was going to shave with a cartridge razor I would definitely choose the Headblade.
Double edged razor with good blade would do it way faster and it don't suffer with long hair like cartridge or disposables do
@@joesmith7865 I tried that as well. I tried with Astra blades, Voskhod blades and I think it was Muhle blades. It took way too long, but it may have to do with the razor I use (Muhle R89, which I also use for my face). I also have a plastic DE razor, which is much more aggressive, but I seem to cut myself all the time with it. I just cant get a break :) Currently using my trimmer which takes about 7 minutes for 14 days of hair growth.
Great tutorial! I really like the bald look, I’ve kept shaving my head since 15 (now I am 28). I’ve been using my beard trimmer recently but I want to go over to Mach3 after viewing this!
What I can’t seem to get a grip on, is the ”with the grain” vs. ”along the grain”-thing but you went against the grain fine!
Do you recommend foam or gel for shaving the head?
I reccomend cream or soap with brush. Proraso, Taylor, cella, palmolive etc. Or cremo original shave cream, headslick shave cream is fantastic. No foam no gel
Thanks, if you're interested in a Mach 3, then you might want to look at HeadBlade as well. It's specifically designed for head shaving.
First you supposed to shave with the grain to remove the hair and then against
That's how cookie cutters do it.
You forgot across the grain. I'm to the point where sometimes I just do with the grain and I'm done.
Hey...i shave my head evry 2 to 3 days maybe 4 days ..and I shave it upwards as well ..but on the 2nd day the back of my head gets little white bumps ..white zits I guess ..do u get those ? Thanx
I tend to get big zits, but it's probably not related to shaving.
Well I am late to the plate. I shave every 1-3days, more often 2. My five cents to you, based on what I saw:
1- switch to gillette 2 blade system
2- shave more often
3- shave after hot shower
4- DO NOT shave against the grain in the back.....just up to down and then front to back.....that's it.
5- use aftershave: a) alum block and rinse, then a mix of witchhazel+alcohol+aspirin, then maybe a splash (NO castor oil); finally a balm......
You can try shaving with a DE razor.....with some skill
talega1 what Gillette two blade system do you recommend?
Yeah, shaving more frequently is definitely the way to go with cartridge razors. They don't handle longer hair too well.
@Sercan Dogan. Just because you are going bald doesn't mean you have to shave your head. If you want to shave your head that's fine, but you should do it because it's something you want to do and not something that you feel you have to do.
You can always try doing a buzz cutt and shave your hair really short. From that point you can decide if you want to shave it all the way. If you don't like you'll have saved yourself a week or two of growing your hair back out.
shaven heads look ok in indoor lighting... out door lighting makes a shaved head look terrible though for some reason..
Was that helpful to you? I got few acnes in my scalp will a shave help me.get rid of them?
ckemi mire put benzoil peroxide cream on them
@@SomeOne-dz9hh it depends on the shade of your scalp and that kinda don't make sense anyway
I also get zits at the back of my head so I resist doing this.
Yeah, it's definitely one of the things I don't like about shaving my head. Every time I see a guy with a shaved head and clear skin I get a little jealous and sad, lol. I'm starting to think it might be due to me not washing my pillow cases often enough and possibly my hats. If I let my hair grow out I don't get hardly any zits on the back of my head.
I get same thing on back of my head neck to after shaving it sucks
man, cant believe i have to do this... i am 16 and because im going bold i have to shave my head off fully.. so stressing
i used to feel the same, try to go shorter and shorter hairs just to let everybody get use to it instead of going all in in one go. :)
I don't know where you are in life now but embrace it. Anyone that says they've never seen a cool bald guy has clearly never seen STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN
It's better to embrace it rather than spend a lifetime worrying about. At least when you shave it off you're making a choice to shave it.
What soap you used
I think it was either Proraso or the Art of Shaving.
That takes forever, even by my standards... but at least you can successfully shave with long strokes, instead of several short ones like me. But I also don't use shave gel... I just head up/wet a wash cloth and hold it to each area of the scalp I'm about to shave.. that usually does it for me..
Yeah it does take forever. I don't use a mach 3 anymore. I tend to stick with my feather razor when I shave my head since I usually will only shave once a week at most and regular cartridge razors get clogged up.
Someone else mentioned they use a towel. I might have to try a towel/wash cloth to wet the hair. Normally I just put my head underneath the faucet and I end up drying a lot of water off anyways. The wash cloth sounds like a good idea.
I've been using 2 buck-a-bag Wilkinson sword razors with the push button cleaner. One every 24-36 hours. With that and a steaming hot soaked wash cloth, works beautiful. Then just massage on aloe vera and vitamin e lotion.
Jay Bushong How many shaves do you get out of each razor? What's the name of the push button cleaner? Do you have any issues with irritation?
I only have been able to get one shave. But you might be able to get two. Its a push button feature that's also in men's Schick razors. I sometimes have irritation, but only because I don't use shave cream
I shave my head ever day
Yeah, it's hard for me to find the motivation to shave every day.
Every morning I shave mine. Every day is best
**heat
you forgot the eyebrows :)
I might not have a girlfriend anymore if I shave the eyebrows...
its a ace up your sleeve.
We're having a hard time hearing you because you are MUMBLING.
I'll try to speak more clearly in future videos. Thank you for the feedback. :)
