Gimbals are amazing. After years of searching for a camera with perfect IBIS for smooth handheld shots, and falling short I bought a gimbal. When I finally got it balance and got the footage home, I was thrilled. It beat Dynamic steady shot in every way.
I have no questions for you tonight (it's night in Charleston, SC) but I'm giving you big hugs before I shoot a video before I get to bed. Never forget. You are great at what you do. XOXO
@@VicBarryit is absolutely fantastic. This is my first foray into gimbal world, so the tips are really helpful. Running a Canon R6 MII, mostly at a local park/hill/mountain. So mostly nature footage, but the tips liven up the footage quite a bit. I was wondering how it was done. Thanks again.
Love the video Vic, all of your work is high quality and I learn something new every time! I have considered getting a gimbal for my m4/3 gear but for now I stick with the pocket 3 and these tips apply also!
Great informative video! I have a gimbal for my ZV1 which is gathering dust as I’ve almost given up on using the ZV1 for cinematic video as outdoors shooting in 4K I can’t see the image on screen because of the ‘screen dimming’ that nobody seems to mention. In bright light I cannot use it.. I know the ZV1 is a few years old now but I shelled out good money for something that is virtually useless shooting 4K in bright conditions. I have thought about a monitor but can’t see a review which may solve this issue. Maybe a challenge for someone to find a solution?… keep up the great work
Cheers mate! Take a look online for an LCD shade or screen hood. They come in different sizes (not sure if there's an exact one for the ZV-1, but its screen size that matters, not camera model)
Great video. Love this. The problem I always struggle with is the weight! I have the DJI RSC2 plus my camera. And sometimes, depending on the shoot, I have to use my Atomos monitor. My arms get pretty tired. I can't imagine using all that with a tripod as well, though your shots are awesome for it. Do you just get used to it, or is there a secret way to make it easier?
Hey 👋 thank you. I thought my arms were going to fall off by the end of this shoot to be honest 🤣 and it’s not a heavy tripod 😀 There’s no secret although I guess like everything the more you do it 💪 all that said it’s very much a case by case basis. Some things will need a gimbal for the smoothness footage, other times it looks cool but you don’t really need it
@@llephotography hahaha. It’s a good exercise though in making your gear as light as possible if going to be using a gimbal. Granted you can get chest straps and shoulder rigs etc for way better support
The Cinepeer Weebill 3E is ALSO available ton Amazon - geni.us/cinepeerweebill3e_AMZ (There's a voucher you can use there too)
5:08 love the tiny gimbal shooting the bigger gimbal ✌🏻
Hahahaha. Well spotted buddy

Cool. What gimbal did you get April?
Best of all time tips
Great shots. This is the moment when I appreciate very much the Pocket 3 ;) Thanks for the tips.
Thank you. Absolutely. Although all these shots including the tripod shots will work with the pocket 3
@@VicBarry For sure. Less weight and the possibility to slide the Pocket 3 in a much narrow places will give even more opportunities.
Hmm, how would this look with the Pocket 3?
Dr Vic, you RAWK! 🔥🧨💪🏽🤠👍🏽🧨🔥
Hey buddy. Not really sure you’d get anything extra out of it with the pocket 3 (it’s too light anyways)

Thanks so much Kenny
@@VicBarry I'll see you tomorrow in the live chat. :)
Great info. Just picked up the 3E. This is extremely useful! Thanks!
No worries Rob. What do you think of it so far?

Thanks so much Brian. Appreciate you taking the time to watch. Absolutely on the pocket 3. Every shot here can be done with it🙏

You're right, I think. I'll just have to get out there more. Build up some muscle. :)
