I’ve never owned a gimbal, but I have used one. This one is appealing because of how straight forward it is. I don’t need all the extra bells and whistles for how I film.
Thank Mark for this video. It looks like a good ghimbal. We just purchased a pocket light from Zhiyun the CINEPEER CM25 and we were very impressed with the quality. So I would imagine that this new ghimbal would be on the same level of quality.
Apart from the Bluetooth and touchscreen thingy, the Weebill S-released 4 years ago-did/still does all of these thing, supports as much weight, even has that wonderful underslung mode feature, and we seem to have forgotten all about that. Sure, the Cinepeer 3E is a great gimbal, but it does nothing that the much older Weebill S didn't (and still doesn't) do.

When we add the rest wrist and sling mode 2.5 piece, it is nearly the same than the weebill 3s which has the light. I just ordered the weebill 3S combo with 10% off.

Me and many people have the small Weebill S, i'm looking for a comparison. I love the Weebill S briefcase handle mode, better for Vortex and low shots
For some reason, I have mostly quit using my gimbals. The only one I still use is an older FeiyuTech smartphone gimbal, and even that is seldom used.
Have been using other types of support and shooting handheld. I'd like to try that one, but probably can't find one here in Philippines. Good show and demo. Cheers.

I had to rewatch it, I can't fit any of my cameras vertically on it. There isn't enough room on it for the camera to freely slide on.
Have you had the same issue and that's why you showed switching to vertical without the camera on it?

I bought a Feiyu 2000c a few years ago from B&H for $139 on a deal zone special. Great value gimbal for that price but it can be finicky at times.
If I start doing more paid jobs where I need a gimbal I will most likely upgrade.
I'm waiting for a update the M2 line, all i really want is for them to add bluetooth compatibility and a USB-C port near the camera end which allows for somekind of power draw mode so you can power the attached camera (without unintentionally setting the camera off into somekind of PC-transfer mode).
I also wish they revisit the old design of the Weebill S, IMHO they got it right with that design, screw on some cheap handle and sling mode is seemless

The crane M3S would be good for that I think and it is more compact and lighter, but the 3e will give you more lens options

I will try to compare them in a vid. Bang for buck, I think the Cinepeer gets it. It's a bit smoother and cheaper. But the DJI has a great app, feels premium, and has extra features like timelapse and tracking - can't go wrong with either

Did you find that with the F38 baseplate as the camera sits higher then the camera will always tip back or forward no matter how perfectly balanced? Once the gimbal is powered on it works fine but as soon as you switch it off the camera quickly tips and I have to catch it before it hits the lens hits the gimbal (or lock the horizontal arm just after powering off). Do you have the same problem?

There is no expansion port to install a monitor on Cinepeer 3E.

must be n oversight. I just checked the fx30 and a6700 and they operated the same as my other Sony’s with the gimbal.

The tracking function need to work with the transmitter but this gimbal model can not connect with transmitter. You may need to look at other models, like Weebill 3S.

the mini has a few more features like time lapses and different a / b points. but just straight up gimbal use for stable footage, I souls choose this Weebil 3E

Weebill 3s for 280 euro or Weebill 3e for 210 euro? For most things, 3e seems good enough, but I wonder if I will ever miss the auto focus motor. Does it worth the additional cost thinking about videos?
They are pretty close in price, so f you think you might want to use manual lenses or manual focus eventually - might be worth it. I use autofocus lenses so the 3E is enough for me

can the bluetooth be completely turned off? not just on in the backgound, i need to have no wireless frequencies where i shoot
there’s no option for Bluetooth off. Bluetooth only shows up if you go into the Bluetooth setting. I am unsure if it is sending out any frequency when not in usw
Can this work for motion, like for example a slider can do ( except hand held ) and will it have stabilization while doing it? I know some gear at the $300 - 400 mark can do what I mentioned. I am asking because it has that pivot neck to it. For example people doing intros of themselves opening up a car door but the camera takes motion footage of them ( panoramic ) and the car as they are getting out. I don't know if it can be used for that purpose ( if having a person holding the camera ).
you can use a gimbal for that for sure. It’s a lot easier than setting up a slider

Hey Mark. I recently purchased the weebill 3s. I have a Sony zv-e10 with the kit lens. For some reason the roll axis wont full balance. It wil stay horizontal but if i move it more than maybe 30 degrees to either side, it falls over. Any ideas on what im doing wrong? Tilt axis is balanced perfectly. But the roll axis doesnt want to cooperate.
I’m not sure what’s going on, but with the gimbal off and all the axis unlocked, it should sit still. so you have to balance each individual axis. 3 total. Have you watched any tutorials from Zhiyun about balmceing?
@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Yes I've watched just about every video I could. It will sit horizontal. But the moment I tilt it to the right or left further than 30 degrees it rolls over. The tilt and pan axis are balanced perfectly. What I've tested is that if I adjust the height to be lower. The the roll axis is perfect. It hokd any position but then now the tilt axis is off. I also ordered the weebill 3e just to test. And it actually balanced perfectly with no issues. So my thought is maybe a defective model? Or maybe the zv-e10 is too small of a camera for the 3s? It feels like if It had more weight on the top of the camera I could balance it no problem but as is. It just doesn't like anything

I have a smooth5s for my iPhone…. Ugh. Pay for the app to use it. Not a very simple to operate thing either. Difficult to use an external mic. Idk.

It’s a little bit smoother, can hold more weight but doesn’t have as many features like tracking and Timelapse. DJI also has a better app. Both gimbals are great

o would give this gimbal a try. the crane m3s is an excellent light weight gimbal, but I don’t know if it will hold your combo

It's a budget version of the Zhiyun Crane 3S - which actually came out before the RS3 Mini. Zhiyun have been around a long time in the gimbal space.

My weebill s is going on 3 year and ive used an a7iii + grip and a 2470gm , still going on strong
The whole weebill lineups is fantastic ( difference is features or built in battery or not )

I bought one for Android one, it's sh*t , it makes you mad to set it up. İt's NOT that straight forward. İt's NOT user friendly it's NOT responsive. Probably if you give it to me for free , I won't use it.İts hard to use it.
I have 5 Zhiyun gimbals. I brought 3 of them before I ever worked with the company. The gimbals are great. spend some more time with them and you’ll figure it out.
