Thanks alot Josh. This has made it great to fly inverted. My ft bloody wonder can now fly circles around the field inverted. I am now also doing it in the dark with lights on it. Great job
I love your saying take a dirt nap... lol
Another great episode guys, love this channel so much...
Legend...
You guys are a great team, and a boon to learner pilots.
Thanks!
Good job Josh and Josh! The landing was awesome and you kept the cool with no panic :)
I just cant get tired of this, and the music, men... just awesome...again another nice tip for newbies like me...
regards guys..
dirt nap. i love it. thanks for another excellent episode, hope your paychecks start coming in real soon!
Can you guys do a tutorial on how to set up the buddy box system shown in this video. I have a Dx6i and a Dx8, and have been wanting to use them to teach my kids (and some mates!) to fly. Thanks, and keep up the great work!
I've learnt so much from these guys thanks Victoria BC
A good tip when flying inverted is to place your thumb behind the elevator stick that way you can only push forward not only does it stop you from pulling back it also to some extent reduces the temptation to pull back, if you do it right you can still move the stick left and right but not backwards
great josh!!!! Congrats!!! I'll buy the apprentice now.
I flew inverted for the first time today with my glider. Plane was a little shaky the first time but the 2nd time i tried i got much better!
As my grandmother would say... "you guys are a hoot" but thanks for the awesome videos. Keep 'em coming...
hawkskyflier Ft guinea pig
balancing props is the same for every type of RC plane/Helicopter. You find a way to see which blade is the heaviest, either sand it down, or add weight to the other blade. Do that for all four blades and it will be balanced. I usually find something roughly the same size (slightly smaller) as the hole on the prop, and spin the prop on it until it stops, try several times to see if the same blade lands down every time, that's your blade to adjust, or adjust to.
I had a plane once called the Capital Flyer by Megatech. Its basically a trainer with a special wing. Semi-symmetrical airfoil so the chord was about a Third of the way up, and you could choose to flatten the Dihedral so it feels almost the same inverted. It was fun, but didn't get grate reviews.
Nice video..Thanks guy's...Little Josh, your flying skills look good...You have learned much young one...
Great show. Thank you.
Hello, another very good tip for begginer rc pilots.
I tried inverted with super cub lp a few years back, stalled, and hit the ground.
tip for flitetest, get the gopro chest mount. you wont have to make that contraption and it wont get in josh's way and the angle will always be straight on. you can point the camera straight down with the chest harness. just a thought
Nice job guys!
I like these videos much more than the current vids ,!!!!
Hi i have a UMX Pt 17 and whenever i try to go upside down it goes down, do you know whats the problem?
Yes, I flew it inverted yesterday.
If you are flying inverted can't you also get out of it by pushing the stick all the way up and do a "half inverted looping"?
You guys, are the best.
1:35 - Awesomest clip this year!
@starwarsjazz Balancing props is the same no matter what platform. It's essentially the same principle of removing unwanted vibrations.
Good instructional video! I'd really like to see follow-up videos on some of Josh's learning experiences, and I think it would encourage other new fliers to continue beyond thier mistakes.
Thanks guys! Very Cool! I'll try with my UM Champ... :p)
Great episode. I rate it a 10!
Cheers!
Thanks for the awesome vid
I find ruder to be very important for inverted. Yes, you can get away with not using it, but I believe it makes turns much easier.
Yeah probably warped from the stress I put on it, I also have the corsair tho were the wings go down and then up
i completed my first rc plane fight with an apprentice a day ago
It’s been 5 years.... how’s flying going? :)
@@diegoarpino2080 Forgot that this existed! I still love it but I have not been flying in a couple of years thanks to school work and then the new laws coming in confusing me. I'm looking at getting back into it soon though as I still have my model aircraft (some prop and one EDF Jet). I really want to get into building scale since I also build static models
@@sgkingly8392 nice man! Yeah school is a bummer. School and bad weather.
Good luck man!!
When I go inverted I always pull out and continue in a cuban eight. Is it legal in the US?
could you roll with bixler 1.1?
IS it possible to fly inverted ith the bixler?
Plank 'n Bank maybe?......Stank 'n Bank? Haha.
Well maybe one of those would work. Anyways you guys are great! I hope you find a new sponsor soon!
I took a lil coaxial heli and switched the top and bottom blades Upside down and swapped place (top on bottom and vise versa) you can make it hover and fly inverted. SOOoo funny! good luck landing it tho..
Fun tip
Nice job josh scott
Hes a savage
Nice flying JS :)
By forward force does he mean throttle?
Nah, he means elevator. Forward stick on elevator means "nose goes down", but for inverted its the opposite.
Of course you still need throttle to maintain enough speed.
Nice video. The apprentice is a great trainer plane
I've been really considering it, I have been using a HobbyZone Champ and am ready for an upgrade. Is this the way to go or do u know of something better?
B. Tickles I practiced with the Hobbyzone Sportcub s which is a 4 channel. Similiar size to the Champ. I have found that if you feel that you can fly and you have total control over a small plane in advanced mode then you are ready for the apprentice with safe. I highly recommend the apprentice for the next step up. You won't regret it.
B. Tickles I bought the Apprentice in December. Its my first RC plane. Did allot of research watching these videos etc. I love my plane, the way it handles, what it can do and the variety of modes you can fly it in.
These videos give me that extra TIP and the Apprentice does a fine job. I just bought a set a floats for it and cannot wait to give that a try.
I wanted a plane that I could do allot with, fly nice and gentle, or do some aero's if I wanted and she does not disappoint. I am sure there are many great planes out there to choose. I chose this and its been a winner.
+zhillsx i just bought one
very nice!!
When inverted I remember it as this "Push up to go up" "Pull Down to go down" If its pullin down....push it up. Works for me.
I have a drone and just got a plane and up and down are OPISITE
if it goes down, then its called anhedral. eg f104. if there is more than 1 angle i.e. it is straight wing with only the tips going up, it is called polyhedral. eg f4 phantom or f4u corsair have polyhedral wings. your extra 330 should have straight wings. your wings a warped :/
i wish i could solder i wana fly so bad and havent in 2 months because i need soldering done..
I forgot to mention my HDX 450 heli took a dirt nap on the weekend when I had an unplanned blade stop the rotor shaft didn't like the power of a 4S 2200mha pack lol...
Nice Epsiode!
In German: "Auf dem Rücken musst du drücken oder dich nach Teilen bücken."
In English it doesn't rhyme: "On the back you have to press (nose) down or bend down for the parts"
I'll pull out if I want! Especially since my plane doesn't have ailerons.
if you loop towards the ground then the stick is already in the right position
Mode 1 is very uncommon in EU. I think its AU where they use mode 1 (not all of them)
The inuendoes are off the chart. 😂
btw I tried to come up with something about pigs and beaches but gave up...
I'M A RAW BEGINNER...WHAT IS FORWARD PRESSURE?
the plane will want to go down, so pull down on the elevator.
dean beach I'm pretty sure in inverted you have to pull up to to up
not when ur upside down
would love to get to point i can complete full flight entirely inverted.....aside from take off and landing....of course
Guys please teach me how the hell aeroplane can fly inverted with inverted fuel tanks and pumps, can this still pump the fuel while inverted with no problems? Teach me ..!
I like it
maybe on the next heli review????
Is it normal if I start inverted? xD
So "Bank and Yank" when flying inverted it's "Bank and Spank"?
Landing is the hardest thing!
There's nothing wrong with "pulling out"- just make sure you know what you're doing and have enough altitude. I do it with my Stryker every day.
Golly gosh, its Josh and Josh.
i flew inverted with hobbyzone champ
Who didn't lol champ s plus also
look Variable pitch quadcopter. there is a chinese student whom has done it for his masters project.
this show makes flying look so hard! like seriously its really not that hard to fly inverted!
Hey JS you'r goen ta make a pilot yet
I flew inverted on my second ever flight but on my 4th flight i came in too low facing the sun next thing that happend was a busted nose
+Batteriii The nose on your face or your plane?
Keef Blendo It was the planes nose. Wouldnt be preatty if it was my nose.
haha yeah, better your planes than your own!
You guys should really do a video about thumbs vs pinching. Josh seems like he'd do better with pinching...
sweet
What about rudder control as roll, and AS3X?
HOW ABOUT incorperating some picture in picture of the TRANSMITTER so the viewers can see what the sticks look like in real time on some of your episodes. GOOD IDEA!!!
"the way god intended" "yeah, or the manufacturer" durafly, god, what's the difference?
Just for the fun of it I tried reversing my elevatlor while 3 crashes high. Nope don't do it. I had a continual fight between my head and my fingers. Flight path was a zig zag all the way down into the trees.
10,000 viewer!
my thumb knew they were backword but my brain still made me plant my switch full throttle into that tree :D
I tried this yesterday and broke my apprentice :(
If you pull out, It could get messy!
Huh? Hoe wist gij welke commentaar ik had gepost, of zat je toevallig ook naar deze video te kijken?
Hallo Midas.
I always pull out!! Lol
Bixler taxes a nap in the dirt so Scott can help that plan take a dirt nap.
My computer says 1 view and no likes or dislikes
Flight Tip: Fly inverted in a simulator. It's one thing to know what to do. It's another to force your fingers to do it. Not that hard. Still a good vid tho.
I tried inverted flying once. The ground won.
Am I the only that giggles when they say 'don't pull out'?
It's 96% effective if done right. :)
yes! with a variable pitch props
I know what the bag was for! so when you crash you can put all the parts in the bag! lol!!!
Remember, when inverted, down is up, up is expensive !!
the dihedral on my extra 330 wing is almost downward
collective pitch quadcopter :0
a collective pitch quadcopter would be amazing:D
cool i haf that plane
Don't pull out.....Yeah, thats how i ended up with 4 kids. Lol.
ADVANCED FPV?!?!?!?!?
Six people crashed after flying!
really disappointed..those are not actual planes just tiny ones
Fly backwards
Oh. I thought this was about big boy airplanes. Which I fly.
T Faber. You a big boy?
