  • We are back with two more mind blowing ice cream flavors - Butter Pecan & Coffee! Are you ready to taste the most indulgent plant-based ice cream recipes you've ever tried? Our Häagen-Dazs style ice cream recipes are creamy, rich, and packed with amazing flavor - and the best part is, they are completely plant-based! You might be wondering how we managed to create such an incredible and luxurious ice cream using our usual whole food plant-based ingredients. The secret is the Ninja Creami Ice Cream Machine! We are not affiliated with Ninja but we had to make and share recipes using this machine because we are enjoying ice cream every night here at home! This ice cream has the rich texture and flavor of traditional Häagen-Dazs ice cream, but with none of the guilt. Whether you're vegan or just looking for a healthier dessert option, this recipe is the perfect way to indulge without sacrificing taste or texture. So what are you waiting for? Grab a spoon and dig in!

    Late to the party but the butter pecan ice cream is the best ice cream I have ever had. It is much better than the Häagen-Dazs salted caramel ice cream I used to purchase in the supermarket for $13.50 (Australian) for less than 500 ml. That was ridiculously sweet. This butter pecan ice cream is creamy, slightly sweet and has no strange after taste that many commercial ice creams have. What a game changer! This recipe has gone straight to the Tried and Tested section of my recipe app. 😊

    I bought the creami because of your recommendation (I wish you could get a commission for that); I live in Poland so that machine was $100 more than what you guys pay in the States (so the price came to almost half a month's rent!), but it was worth it. So far I only have 2 recipes that are "keepers"- and both are yours! The butter pecan one and the chocolate one. Thank you for your hard work and dedication.

    I made the butter pecan tonight (using a different brand of ice cream maker), and it's amazing! I knew that the flavor would be good, because I love all of Jill's recipes, but it was even richer than I expected. I plan to try the other flavors soon, and they will be a REGULAR part of my dessert rotation.

      Hello @Kendra Banta, I can eat a banana raw, but I do not like it in my food. I substitute white sweet potato, for anything with banana. I feel the white sweet potato is sweeter and creamier than the regular orange, sweet potato.

    I made this ice cream without the ninja. ( I searched for the Ninja ice cream machine in Australia,But totally sold out). So I made the mixture and froze it in ice trays. That way I could mix The amount I needed. The thermamix did the job. It seemed to stay soft in the freezer for much longer once I’d mixed it up. Like real ice cream instead of it freezing too much like ice.
    I made both recipes. And I have to say I think it’s the nicest healthiest I’ve cream recipe I’ve encountered so far. My husband loves coffee ice cream. He said it was good. I did double the amount of coffee.
    Question: could I use half the banana and use the other banana portion with cashews. Any thoughts.
    On another note I love your channel. I’m always interested in your taste test. You always make it seem like your eating something divine. Even brussel sprouts. I dislike them but today I’ll go buy some and give your recipe a try.
    Keep up the healthy work. I’m loving it

      You can try blending in a regular blender until creamy, freeze in shallow pan, then cut in small cubes and blend again. You can eat as soft serve or freeze again for a more firm consistency. The second blend keeps it creamy, even when you refreeze it. I make this in a vitamix, so not sure how creamy a regular blender will make it.

      Growing up, we put the mixture in a plastic food bag and every couple of hours, we took it out of the freezer and went over the bag with a rolling pin. This is a way to churn it manually as it freezes. Time consuming, yes, but it works.

    How can I make this without a creamer and I don't have an ice cream maker?

    • @Dawn-zo2ny
      @Dawn-zo2ny Рік тому +1

      You would probably need a high speed blender or a food processor, i think...If they are both on the weaker side, just add a little more liquid...Then freeze, but there might be an extra step after freezing it...Also, it might need more fat for more creamyness...

    Hi Jill, I’m contemplating getting the Ninja creami. I make my nice cream in my food processor now which works good. I’m not sure if the cost and having another kitchen appliance would be justified. What are your thoughts? Is it that much better ?

      The ice cream turns out thicker and much more solid. It also stays frozen for a good amount of time unlike nice cream which you need to eat immediately.

    • @sobellabg804
      @sobellabg804 Рік тому

      You could use 1-2 tsp of Miyokos vegan butter or a Butter Extract/Flavoring and that would work but I’d then omit the acv.

    What can I use instead if bananas? I was wondering if avocado would work?

      Sweet potato. Either purple sweet potato (also called Japanese yam, I believe) or Hannah sweet potatoes. Both have off white flesh and work great. If you can't get those try ordinary sweet potatoes or even butternut squash.

    That’s a cool machine. I’m curious to know if the ice cream has a strong or obvious banana flavor. I like whole bananas; however I don’t like banana flavored treats.

    Hi Jill, do these ice creams taste a lot like banana? I don't like the taste of banana so I've been having a hard time finding a nice cream flavor that I like.
    Do the nooch and acv work to mask the banana flavor?
    BTW, love your show and the recipes! 🥰

      I don’t like banana in my food, and I definitely can taste any banana and food. I’m going to try to substitute white sweet potato for the banana. I’ve done it in other recipes and has turned out excellent. You can’t taste the white sweet potato at all and it is creamy and sweet.

      For the ice cream, do you suggest baking or boiling them first?
