They actually gave all the employees cake at the manufacturing plant in Sweden because of how smooth the introduction of the super engine was (I know this cuz I work there)
Love these new Scanias, the power is amazing and its nice to hear the turbo spool and the exhaust brake. Not to mention how ergonomically designed they seem with the nicely laid out buttons etc Not sure about some of the tech though, dont know why you need to be told a corner is coming as surely you'd be able to see it lol
Hey Tim so most important question is what did you have from kfc? 😂 Those folding steps you liked on the fire engine were a standard fixture on the 4 series topline streamline version. They give a very nice neat finish. Maybe get some sorted for your restoration 👍
Hey there from the US! I stumbled upon your channel after watching a video from a UA-camr called Bruce Wilson, who owns some of the few Scania trucks here. However, all of his trucks are 25 years old or older because Scania trucks are no longer imported to the US. Import laws state that you cannot have a newer model than 1999, and the last year Scania trucks were sold in the US was 1992. I really love your videos, Trucker Tim, and I think it would be amazing if you could come to the US to meet Bruce someday. Also, do you happen to know where I could buy some 1/64th scale diecast Scania truck models? Thanks a bunch!
I was one of your first couple of thousand subscribers and I have not missed a video and to see how far you have come is amazing. Don't stop the grind Tim
When I was a boy I used to spend my holidays going out with my dad in his lorry and going around the country……the lorries of today are a lot more purpose built and practical for long distance than they was back then. Obviously as I got older things changed but I always remember those days and how tough a job it is to drive long distance for a living.
The bit on the back of fire trucks is the lockers where they keep the hoses above the axels, road traffic accident equipment on the left side with the water light portable pump on the right side as well as first aid bags, defibrillator etc, fixed hose reels on both sides and more
Hey Tim, I used to work for Ranks… worked there for 12 years as a tanker driver but now I’m at Whitworths. Absolutely love your videos and thibk I remember you coming in with Rowells
Just watched this again, had the pleasure of driving a 560 S tag demo gor 3 weeks. Normally drive a R500 but my god what a difference in power, unbelievable truck, pulled like a trian it was effortless to drive.
That cab looks like my 20 plate scania skip truck (haven’t got a fridge, microwave or bed though). The auto gearbox drives best in power mode. Tim you would absolutely love the scania dealer we have to take our trucks to every 6 weeks for a service etc, keltruck in West Bromwich have hundreds of trucks
I passed my test in July and drive a 71 plate r450 scania now I'm a night tramper. Very comfortable and good power delivery. Only niggle is the gearbox is sluggish for the first 5 mins.
Your most interesting video ever, and you actually managed to return their truck 🛻 in one piece. God they were brave to let you drive one. Respect to you and Scania
I absolutely love the energy in this video! seeing him so excited and happy made me happy :D My dream truck is a Volvo, but these Scanias are absolute units! glad you enjoyed test driving this beast ;)
Loved this vlog Tim, You and this Scania are made for each other, couldn't believe all the gizmos it had on board, would love to have seen you hauling a trailer behind you. The Scania jacket suits you sir!! Love that the channel is becoming more diverse in the content you are putting out, 👍
Hi Steve, Thank you for your comment , I am pleased you are enjoying the different vlogs as well. Wouldn't the Scania be an amazing truck to drive for work every day ! 🚛👍
3:04 it’s got air conditioned seats! I’m going to have my Renault Magnum fitted with these! I live in Florida, and I imported a Renault Magnum, and air cooled seats for our hot summers are a god send!
Oh my god.... you said Wellingborough and it didn't click where abouts, I'm originally from the Wellingborough area and you where you said about the turning circle is whats known locally as the Rixon Road Industrial Estate, my last name is also Rixon.... I haven't been down there in about a year now, moved to Scotland. Wow!
A fire engine (also known in some places as a fire truck or fire lorry) is a road vehicle (usually a truck) that functions as a firefighting apparatus. The primary purposes of a fire engine include transporting firefighters and water to an incident as well as carrying equipment for firefighting operations. Some fire engines
Mate these lorries are great, I drive a 72 plate at work for Nationwide platforms. The sensors go mad they go off constantly in the rain and wind. They have the turning circle of a London black taxi!
Just subbed to you Tim came from TikTok love the energy gets me in a happy mood, such a nice well thought out interior in trucks nowadays think it’s awesome, see some trucks out and about with all the big fancy lights always makes me smile love it love it 😊
My dad moved them both once you’d finished the next morning. He told me to tell you the back of the fire engine is called the body which turns it into a fire tender👍🏼
I’m sure you have a wealth of firefighter subscribers who would be willing to let you have a look round a finished and operational fire engine, myself included 👍
This is a new generation of technology truck .have new engine and so smooth than other brand trucks , Awesome 👏🏽. hight accurate technology detection side of mirror unbelievable .
So odd clicking on a youtube video in my suggestions to find the video is in a place local to me lol. I'm in Kettering and have ridden on those roads hundreds of times on my motorcycle. Been getting back into Euro Truck Sim 2 and have been watching a load of youtube trucking vids recently. Would love a ride in a truck sometime but likely will never happen lol. I'm a bit late but great vid Tim!
Greetings from the United States!! My dad is a truck driver so thats my connection to the profession. Anyways I've always loved Euro trucks in fact I like them more than American Bottle Nose trucks. European trucks just look so modern and nimble i just love them. My favorite is the Volvos but seeing this Scania I have to say I'm quite enamored by it! anyways love the content this is the first video I've seen and if by some miracle you make it State side hope you get to drive one of our massive 18 wheelers!
Hey Tim absolutely loved the video that scania looked amazing so quiet like it wasn't even running plus the steps on the back of the fire truck, I've never seen pop up and down steps before tim. Never seen you so happy about a truck that much I could tell you would have bought it if you could have looking forward to the next vlog mate keep up the good work 👍
Have I ever watched a video about trucks in my life? Nope. Do I own or drive a truck? Nope Have I ever even been in a truck? Nope. Am I going to watch this video? Yep.
Very swish truck. I passed my HGV licence in July after being inspired by you and the energy you have for trucking. Just needs to find me a job now 🤦🏼♂️🤪
Tim. Your a legend. Im 16 from manchester and aspire to get into trucking but havent the foggiest as to how. If you could help then thatd work wonders. Lots of love from up north ❤
Wow Tim what a lovely new truck glad you were allowed to go and have a drive in it liked the new fire engine as well no idea what the back bit is called to me its just called a fire engine
I love this kind of video, going to test drive a new truck!!! You should really reach out to other company's and ask for the same type of expierience!!!!
Since last year, Scania planned to produce trucks with a cab extended by 27 centimeters in order to keep up with the Volvo FH16 XXL, this information is even on the official Scania website, why are they not talking about these cabs on UA-cam? problems with the possibility of production?
Truck drivers who drive up kerbs ruin the tracking. So don’t drive up kerbs hard. It’s the same for cars, motorcycles & push bikes. Kerbs ruin equipment by damaging them. Lovely truck
What a great truck have you been to scania museum in Sweden Jenko and the lads went to test drive the new trucks looked amazing keep up the good work look forward to seeing you in your new scania one day👍👍
They actually gave all the employees cake at the manufacturing plant in Sweden because of how smooth the introduction of the super engine was (I know this cuz I work there)
So cool man! I visited the Wallenberg hall 2 days ago😂😂, i hope you have a great time working at scania Hälsninger
@Urmom it was princesscake
@Urmom its like a marzipan cake and is usually served on birthdays
That’s awesome we also have a Scania factory here in Netherlands in Zwolle. I live 30km away
@@TheCrew11 cool man, veel plezier bij scania Zwolle 🤘
The boat button on the key is to disable the alarm when traveling on a ferry as they sometimes get triggered by the sway of the vessel
Thanks! That was quite useful!
And here i thought it made the truck amphibious.
@@RampantFury925 u and me both XD
@@RampantFury925 i thought it was remotely activated cruise control😭😭
My dad has a modded v8 as-well and they have ferry bottoms on all SCANIA truck keys even tee cabs and old trucks well old isd
Tim, the back of a fire appliance is just known as the lockers. This also contains the water tank. The volvo ones I drove were 1800 litre tanks
Love these new Scanias, the power is amazing and its nice to hear the turbo spool and the exhaust brake. Not to mention how ergonomically designed they seem with the nicely laid out buttons etc
Not sure about some of the tech though, dont know why you need to be told a corner is coming as surely you'd be able to see it lol

Boat button is to lock the cab so alarm doesn't go off when on the boat 👍
Thats a good idea, alarms are always going off on the ferry.
Love my new S540. Comfy, powerful, gadgets galore and the noises it make put a massive smile on your face. I wouldn’t want any other truck now.

Squirrel would love this Scania 😄😄😄
The boat button on the keyfob is when you go on a ferry, you're alarm won't go of by movement of the ship. The doors will shut by pressing it.
13:58 wow look the bottle is still there, that's amazing it shows the engine vibration is very small
I was one of your first couple of thousand subscribers and I have not missed a video and to see how far you have come is amazing. Don't stop the grind Tim

I’m a Scania guy, currently drive buses but working for my hgv now, tbh when I look for work I’ll be wanting Volvo or scanny rolling stock.
First video I've seen of yours. Love your vibe.
And gosh that Scania looks lovely.
I felt like I was going with you. I felt the same happiness you felt. Congratulations to you and your new SCANIA SUPER ❤️💥
Should look at Tru Plant in Ipswich, they do heavy haulage like you wanted and you’d get a brand new Scania every 3 years

Brilliant. That Scania was very nice, I hope you get one.
I think that the rear of the fire appliance is called a locker body or a body
Anyone else watching when he actually ended up getting a next gen
Brilliant. Absolutely insane truck.
That’s why scania are the best!
