Felt like he was cut so that Gruden could set an example after last years team only won 4 games. Ollie did himself no favors by not recognizing how little room he had for error. Like Shannon Sharpe said this morning on Ollie, you have to show at the very least you'll be a low maintenance player if your not drafted as none of your money is guaranteed.
Yep, because he has a following somewhat of "self-made" stardom. Vince McMahon plays off of this kind of press in the WWE. Adding Ollie to an XFL team will be great for his ratings.
@@levianhall8729 I hope not. If he gets a chance I hope he earns it, but you're right. Knowing how badly Vince wants to get into the Football business anything that would gets ratings I'm sure he would go for it.

Gruden cutting him was swift! As soon as the man said he needed help on how to get to treatment, he was as good as gone. Yep. The exact same day, the Raiders waived Erik Swoope. Who's Erik Swoope? I dunno either. Although my guess is that other people aren't as egregiously awful as Ollie, and the cuts are more along the lines of "Look, you work super hard, but you just aren't good enough. Sorry."
Ollie worked so hard to get a chance and I couldn’t believe just like that he was cut. Hoping to see him in the league in a near future. Keep us updated Flem!!!
Obviously there’s only so much that can be seen on a show. But the feeling I got was that he maybe would have been given the benefit of the doubt had he not be on LCU. I feel like Gruden and the coaches were rubbed wrong by him and decided to give him a shorter leash because being a “household name” isn’t enough to earn a spot on the team. I could be wrong, but that’s how it came across to me on the show.
Jon Gruden is the hardest coach in the NFL. Not best hardest, he runs things like the old NFL days where it was harder and it’s a no BS thing he’s got going on Ollie didn’t have what it took there is other players who wanted it more it is nothing about the LCU stuff. Like the one coach said There’s players you love to coach and some you get stuck with, he didn’t want it like a real Raider. I mean you saw how fast mans got replaced they had other players coming for his neck. He was doomed once he signed with them I dunno if he did it cause hard knocks or what but his biggest mistake was signing with us because coach Gruden is the hardest coach where this dude maybe could have gone to a team like Miami and easily made the team..
I watched Last Chance U, and was surprised the Raiders signed him, not surprised he was cut so soon. He also tried out with the Saints before, maybe they saw something in him as well.
I think the main reason was gruden found out that Ollie was the only one to not finish his drills out of everyone else in Ollie's unit. (even tho he was hurt) that's what made gruden pissed, missing treatment was just the last straw.
You right about Gruden making a quick decision Flem. You know Coach Gruden always been an emotional coach. Man all the best for Ollie we all rooting for him 🙏🏿

I live over on the Peninsula. Glad to see the show will be local next year. Until five minutes ago, I didn't even know Laney had a football team, much less it being the #1 junior college football program in the country.
@@fixpacifica yeah they do a good one I went out for them in 2008. A lot of good football player in Oakland that just don't have the grades.
He needs to mature. He’s acting the same way when he was at emcc. He puts in the work but has to get his mind right
That you rockin a utep hat?🤙🏽 That’s dope bro
The game he loves? Remember he said it himself. “I don’t like football. I’m just good at it. I’m worried about the check.” Who wants you someone like that?
I literally feel exactly how you feel about it. I was so upset it went down the way it did and the fact that they didn’t have the meeting i was salty. Then i felt disappointed in him because he used that last chance U as a play. Kinda feeling himself a little, then he showed a little of that same attitude. Smh he blew it man.
Gruden has a reputation of being impatient with rookies/young players
Yup
Make a video updating all the AAF players that played in NFL Preseason!!
I seen him on Last Chance U and I feel sorry for him but it's just like the real world you have to be prepared when you go to work and in the real world if you're not prepared your replaced. I seen a guy today get fired. You get paid a lot of money to be prepared. Try to work for 40000 a year in the hot ass sun and all different types of weather.
Noti gang
I've played the game most my life, he didnt want it at all. Just the truth and theres nothing wrong with that, being in the NFL isent 4everyone.
Just because they didn’t do it all for show doesn’t mean they didn’t do their due diligence.
Usually you only get one chance to make a first impression. Ollie had the rarified chance of getting two. He blew both of them on International television. FlemLo Brother...As a Raider fan I know that if you need to know one thing about Gruden, He doesn't play! with you. I think Ollie knew his chances were slim in making the Raiders and he gave up. And that is what separates those that do and those that don't.
He said..why all didn't tell me lol
He still got that juco mentality.
