I've always been impressed with the Momentum planters. I now know a lot more about them Jason. The operators input is awesome too! Simple design but quality planting even at high speeds!! Thank you for sharing 😊.
@@donfrisch6437 If you think JD builds all its equipment in the USA and only pays taxes in the USA. You have drank way too much green kool-aid. JD uses zf transmissions where are they made I wonder??
Thanks sooo much jason for keeping your word, i have really been waitting to see this momentum planter at work.its such a wonderful machine, once again thanks alot, blessing.
@@kygreenskeeper8326 the dealer support is horrible and 4 years from now that momentum planterwill be stripped down to the frame, it causes so many problems in the long run, especially the electrical part of it.
Jason - outstanding video and interview. Planter technology is on the leading edge. If I remember correctly each row unit has about 36" of up/down travel - helpful for terraced fields. The operator was very engaged, seemed like he was more than enthusiastic to share his thoughts. Keep the video rolling we appreciate your work.
Amazing how many people here are unaware of cover crops. Hope to see more cover crop/no till fields on your channel(I know its not totally in your control)
Pretty impressive technology in the planter. Pretty impressive price tag for those two combines since they bought both at the same time he said. I hope they have great yields this year. Same for all farmers. Does that hose reel have the power to use to inflate tires in the field if needed?
Very impressive setup! I love it! It does make one ask the question, why didn’t they pair the planter up with a Fendt tractor? Challenger is riding like a Cadillac. Just Amazing!
I run a 722 Fendt pulling an 8 row Harvest International planter decked out with Precision Planting including Furrow Force closing system. That would be a big improvement on the planter in the video IMO.
It looks to me like they have sprayed the cover crop with round up(or simlar)it will then die off in the next 10 days. This is now a common practice here in the uk
ive been stuck on a 500t 2015 30 foot drill the past 3 weeks trying to get 3350 acres knocked out would really like to have that to knock out the acres
The planter has enough down force to pls e the seed in the ground with out tillage. Tillage works for many applications but no till saves on fuel, time, labor and equipment with just one pass. They were spraying a herbicide in this field just behind the planter. In a few days all these weeds were dead.
There’s no point in trying to understand Agco’s business model. It changes every few years and it’s eventually going to hurt them badly. I don’t think they understand their own business model
Never seen anyone plant anything with such vegetation, why is he doing that? Fendt has a long way to go even come close to a John Deere planter even with just the amount of units sold per year. That vacuum is very cool but your tractor has to have air on it in order to use it right?

Didn't know Fendt had a planter. This looks like they did a really good job. It was also nice to see the Challenger tractor. Great video.
Nice setup! Must have been an impressive planter demo for them to justify a new tractor purchase to operate it.
I really enjoy your videos!
I leave very impressed about operators input. Close easy, quick, everything is perfect in that machine. Congratulations for your video. 👍
Impressive the way it folds up.
Seen one of them planters on a trailer in a truck stop 🛑 very impressive built machines

Like to see the corn seeded in that field as it grows for results.
I wish I could feature that. I live 150 miles from this field so it’s hard to do follow up.
Great vídeo Jason.
Thank you for watching. The Fendt the planter is nice.
Interesting planter, haven't seen anything like that in my area
Yes in my country haven't seen too sir .
It’s like watching a transformer toy that the kids had back in the day when that planter fold’s up for transport. Wild isn’t it!

Yes it does have pinch rows. Just like every other planter.
Hello! European top technology!
Does the surface crop not interfere/compete with the newly planted crops? I desire to learn more.

Jason, do you know yield of this field of corn ?
Pretty dry in your area, Jason? Super wet spring here in the upper red river valley
Wow almost half million dollar planter? Technology is great when it works and when it dont...
I was sitting here think, wait, I’m pretty sure that’s a Challenger! Then I realized the video was about the planter! Lol.
The Challenger is an Industrsil Fendt 😁👍

how the small corn plants can grow within the high mustard plants?
Might have to trade in the ole cyclo for this
What do they do about the grass that they are planting through ?
I know! That’s a crapload of stuff he’s planting in. Won’t that rob all the nutrients and moisture from the corn?
? It's sprayed and killed.

That grass will eventually die off once the corn comes up

I believe the Momentum is sold through Valtra dealers in South America.

I don't understand AGCO's business model. Are they pushing Fendt at the expense of White? Is one a re-branded version of the other?
