NH3 is put down about 10 days ahead of planting because it can dissipate in the soil. If the corn seed is put in with the NH3 the newly sprouted plants will get burned by the higher concentration of fertilizer around it. By spacing it out it allows the plant to draw on the fertilizer through out the season.
Any word how good these tractors are, with starting in the cold weather. Sounds like other big tractors have problems starting in cold conditions, especially with DEF problems.
That is a good question. I am not sure. Fendt 800 and 900 series a big in Europe for clearing roads of snow. Where I live and this tractor works we only get in the 20’s a few days a year. This is a good question I will have to research.
I assume he was waiting for this 1167 to be delivered, when he was using the 1162 in the March 3rd video??? Have you seen a "peak power output" for this tractor, seems they only post 673 "constant hp"... CaseIH still posts 692 hp for the 620 Quad Trac from a 12.9l.... I know its a different "series" of the MAN 16l in the combine which is at 790hp, but im sure this model is "capable". FTP makes a 16l also, CNH needs to put it in a Quad Trac!!!
Billy has run Challangers since 2006. Always the largest model of the time. He started with an 06 MT865B, three MT875Cs an 09, 11 and 14, then a 17 MT875E and a 19 MT875E. He wanted to try the Fendt and get some hours on it and see what the 1162 was like vs jumping to the 1167. He liked the Fendt allot and decided that he wanted the extra hp of the 1167. I have to look it up but I think the 1167 can achieve 690 hp in tough conditions. The 620, 640 and 670 hp machines are all very similar in what they can pull.
Just fyi, the 692 from the case is boosted power and just as deeres it only comes free when certain conditions are met (hence y both the case 620 and jd 620 have 620 RATED hp). Whereas fendt tractors do not rely on these sort of conditions, their hp rating is their hp, there is no 'boost' in fendt tractors. Also personally i feel like almost 700 from a 12.9 is too much hp/L decreasing reliability (its not a secret case 620 are more likely then jd 620) Plus 2200rpm on the 12.9 to get its power?? Thats loud. Id take higher displacement and less rpm over less displacement and more rpm any day of the week. (Jd and fendt seem to think so too) Curious to see what the case 720 prototype that has been leaking will do. That probs has the 15L ftp.
@@paulpence8895 lmao, kid is salty / toxic bc i PROOVED him wrong a few months back? Hard to swallow for ya that someone else was correct apparently... Just grow up..
Even though 1167 Fendt has a 673 hp engine, Mike Mitch from Southern Saskatchewan did a drag with this tractor and number of others pulling a Degleman Pro-till in a dried up sloo were it pulled real hard in heavy clay. He times each tractor and a used 9520 RT John Deere with 4000 hrs on the clock just about bet the 1167 Fendt by 2 seconds! So goes to show you can have as much power as you like, it’s if you can get that power to the ground is what matters! The loaner program is nothing new from AGCO, they had it 16 years ago on a AGCO brand tractor. So when you buy a Fendt your paying a lot more for them cause you paying for 3 years of service at the time of tractor purchase. Most farmers prefer to doing the service themselves.
And why didn't you mention that the Fendt outperformed a 9620 RX? By the way, the 1167 has the same pulling power as the 1162 because it is limited by Fendt. The 9560 RT was impressive indeed.
@@melvd3484 I think he also put the tractor in its more efficient mode rather than giving it the full amount of power as Mike found a way of getting an extra mph out of fendt tractors when pulling.
Which one IS better claas 5000 or fendt 1050 Vario i figure out the price and you can buy one Germán Tractor Up to 500 hp for the same price that a jhone Deere to 390 hp
Has it, "Derated " yet? because once it gives you the DEF codes it completely shuts down the tractor & there isn't a override the dealer can do so you can still use the tractor, you will be left sitting until agco sends you the new part which take 4 hours to install best solution as soon as the 1167 gives you the first warning the sensor is bad order the part it happened to our tractor 3 weeks ago &now our neighbor literally today. Love the 1167 but the issues popping up even though covered by warranty are unnecessary they could have been fixed by AGCO years before
Very nice seeding team. This farm will run a 60ft Horsch Panther air drill on the 1167 in June. The 60ft drill is 19ft wide going down the road which is the width of a two lane here. Cars beware 😁
The 620 tops out at in the high 600’s put can not be run full time beyond. All of these big modern tractors do not put all their power to the ground. At least 20 to 30 hp goes to running hydraulics. In three years time a 600 hp tractor will be considered mid sized. The hp game is about to see some major changes.
@@nickhunt811 These tractor's engines only put out their maximum power under specified circumstances. For example under heavy pulling load concurrently with hydraulic or PTO load. Some call it Power Boost (Deere, CNH). Fendt generally does not have that, but the 1167 is limited a bit in pulling power to the same amount the 1162 has. So the delta of hp can be used for hydraulics or PTO.
@@nickhunt811 ultimately the current range of tracked tractors from AGCO, CNH and Deere in the 600 plus hp category will be considered mid range with in the next three years. Much larger horse power in on the way. 620 to 690 Hp is about to seem average.
I'm sure this tractor is a hero in the fields. But the versatility in this track machine is pretty bad. I hope this becomes a normal tractor and a frame-driven tractor.

Fendt is greatly expanding here in the US too. The 1000 series have made a big impact on sales.
Case 620 & JD 9640 Boost to 672 hp as well.
I believe the 1167 boosts to 690 hp. They are all in the same ball park for sure.
Do they like the Fendt ??
Yes very much.
I have wondered why NH3 is not injected into the soil during planting as it would eliminate the need to inject it separately.
Hello! Plenty of horses to play...
Hi. It is a powerful tractor.
@@bigtractorpower 👌
Variable application or straight 120-150 units an acre?
They are not using a variable rate.
This thing ever stop beeping?
Any word how good these tractors are, with starting in the cold weather. Sounds like other big tractors have problems starting in cold conditions, especially with DEF problems.
That is a good question. I am not sure. Fendt 800 and 900 series a big in Europe for clearing roads of snow. Where I live and this tractor works we only get in the 20’s a few days a year. This is a good question I will have to research.
If it's anything like the MAN motors on the 1000 series it will start like a champ💪
Have they started seeding corn yet ?
Yes a few farms started around the 20th. It rained a bunch so everything is on hold at the moment.
Also personally i feel like almost 700 from a 12.9 is too much hp/L decreasing reliability (its not a secret case 620 are more likely then jd 620)
Plus 2200rpm on the 12.9 to get its power?? Thats loud.
Id take higher displacement and less rpm over less displacement and more rpm any day of the week.
(Jd and fendt seem to think so too)
Curious to see what the case 720 prototype that has been leaking will do. That probs has the 15L ftp.

Why does Billy always run a different brand tractor than the rest of his fleet?
❤️💚
Which one IS better claas 5000 or fendt 1050 Vario i figure out the price and you can buy one Germán Tractor Up to 500 hp for the same price that a jhone Deere to 390 hp
I think they are all good. Both the Fendt and CLAAS are smooth riding and easy to operate with plenty of power.
65ft/hr! hang weights everywhere and mount some tanks, it could do it all with 1 pass
The 65ft an hour would be for tiling or a vegetable crop operation that requires a very slow speed.
@@bigtractorpower most everything planted around your neighborhood now? still wet northeast ohio. wheat started to take color this week
Love the 1167 but the issues popping up even though covered by warranty are unnecessary they could have been fixed by AGCO years before
All that power to pull a little anhydrous rig, in dry conditions. Seems like a waste of money.
👍💪
Thank you for watching.
Tracks size?
30 inch track.
I pull an 80ft seed hawk with this beast on Farm Simulator 19
Very nice seeding team. This farm will run a 60ft Horsch Panther air drill on the 1167 in June. The 60ft drill is 19ft wide going down the road which is the width of a two lane here. Cars beware 😁
Hello
✌️✌️✌️
Thank you for watching.
$1,000/H.P. 😉
It’s a big price but about $100,000 less than its computers in the 620 to 640 hp range.

Case ih has a 692 horsepower tractor
The 620 tops out at in the high 600’s put can not be run full time beyond. All of these big modern tractors do not put all their power to the ground. At least 20 to 30 hp goes to running hydraulics. In three years time a 600 hp tractor will be considered mid sized. The hp game is about to see some major changes.
Fendt website says 673hp case ih say 692?
@@nickhunt811 These tractor's engines only put out their maximum power under specified circumstances. For example under heavy pulling load concurrently with hydraulic or PTO load.
Some call it Power Boost (Deere, CNH).
Fendt generally does not have that, but the 1167 is limited a bit in pulling power to the same amount the 1162 has. So the delta of hp can be used for hydraulics or PTO.
My point is fendt isn't the most powerful
@@nickhunt811 ultimately the current range of tracked tractors from AGCO, CNH and Deere in the 600 plus hp category will be considered mid range with in the next three years. Much larger horse power in on the way. 620 to 690 Hp is about to seem average.
Its all good and all that jazz but I'd rather have buy 80 acres than that chunk of iron..
I'm sure this tractor is a hero in the fields. But the versatility in this track machine is pretty bad. I hope this becomes a normal tractor and a frame-driven tractor.
hello everyone you know if renner stock farms makes a video or live of the 100 years of its exploitation each year I go to the us a little but this year my wife has cancer so I can't make the trip without the family because I live in Alsace

Who cares about all the lights, if you have auto steer, you don't need the lights
Those lights make sure you don’t run something over and that you see if something is not working right on implement. Plus it helped me film better after dark and see my way back to my truck with out a flash light because the tractor lit up half the field.
I bet it can haul a lot of Russian tanks.
Ugh...the nitrogen costs more than the tractor...cross your fingers for a bumper crop.
It is always a hope and prayer that the crop makes it through the season. Costs are sure way up.
Hello you sexy Beast!
Fendt the disposable machine that no one will ever fully understand
I think I like the green rebadged Challenger brother better! I hate to say it but somehow it looks European? Imported? Go team MN/Agco!
Agco doesn't make the Challenger brand anymore.
@@farmerjohnson8121 You can still order this series in Challenger branding (MT851-MT867), but AGCO seems to only be promoting the Fendt brand now. Probably won't be much longer before the Challenger branding will be gone completely.
@@OldIron1961 I talked to a Agco dealer and they told me only some of the smaller Challengers are available...
Terrible advertising with a deere globe
No it shows if you like Deere GOS you can keep Deere GPS in your new Fendt. The farm in this video has three 9620RXs and four 9420Rs so it’s great they can all communicate with the Fendt.
That John Deere monitor screen should use a night mode, switching to dark background at night so it doesn't burn out the driver's night vision.
Someone needs to tell the driver of all the gas he is losing , how much is the ammonia per ton ? Not much use having all the sophistication of variable rate in the cab when the job is being done so poorly !!!!
I was filming it up close I did not see or smell much loss. This was a very rocky field so it was not ideal conditions. He was breaking allot of shear bolts. The escape you do see is mostly a tripped knife. This video only shows a few passes across the entire field. This farm puts out 11,000 acres of NH3 they are not about wasting it. Rocks unfortunately are a problem.
