I've just discoverd your channel and already seen almost all videos, it's so so cool what you're making!!! You explain a lot of useful things that I never fully understand... I'm so happy to have find this channel and Mr.Forke Now I'm looking forward to what else you're going to teach us!! Maybe some day I can apply this stuff into games!!
@css2582 I'm really excited for you and how much you're learning. It would be so cool to see you make a game! @Le_Forke has such great tutorials, and I'm so glad you found both of us. Thank you so much for your support, it really means a lot. I hope you keep learning and applying what you learn to your own craft.
@@ComfeeMug Yeah it's super useful for all kinds of stuff. And since it's an image you can paint one externally with paint strokes and they should word, though maybe stretching can become noticable, haven't tested it yet. The node setup for the matcap coordinates isn't that hard either, maybe it's worth making a video about it since I haven't seen that many tutorials on NPR with matcaps or matcaps as materials in general! The Matcap setup is this: Texture Coordinate - Normal to Vector Transform - set to Normal and then the first option being "object" and the second one being "camera". Basically converting object coordinates to camera cords. And then two vector math nodes: Multiply with everything on 0.5 and Add with everything set to 0.5. Just plug that into a Matcap texture and it should work!
Dude, that's awesome! I wish I had found you earlier and not wasted time on monotonous tutorials on anime stylistic blender, even giga channels didn’t talk about what you teach on your channel I hope you will continue making that kinda original cool stuff
@FunClubMedia__ I'm so glad you found my channel! And thank you for the complement :) I try to make my content unique so that people like you can get something new out of it. And I will absolutely keep making content like this so that it's easy to follow, and so that you can know everything I do!
Great work as always, the final touch was the cherry on top to make it perfect 👌 Do you have anything cooking for anime fur and hair textures, mr Mug? I feel like those gotta be REALLY hard. Keep up the good work, your videos are awesome!!
@ProfessionalPROfile Thank you so much, I'm so glad you like it! Funnily enough, I do have some plans for anime fur and hair, though I am still ironing out the details. Can't wait to make a tutorial on those! Thank you again for your support!
I was hoping you'd go into a bit of detail about the black halflight-band you have on your hand, since I think that's the real secret sauce for metallic objects. Specular reflections are good, but on their own I feel like they tend to make things look more plastic vs metallic, and I haven't really found an approach for the half-band that I really like yet that mixes the diffuse+specular influences well.
@tciddados That's a great point, and I'm sorry I forgot to go over that black half light. The way I achieved the half light was by having three values in my cel shader's color ramp as follows from left to right: mid tone -> darkest tone -> lightest tone. I really hope this helps! Let me know if you have any more questions :D
@@ComfeeMug Hm, alright, I thought that I saw it shifting a bit when you moved the camera, implying that you were combining it with the specular component, not just changing the color of your middle toon ramp like normal (where it'd just look like usual diffuse color). Fair enough then.
@cinemelies734 That would be awesome, and is definitely something I want to do! Might not be soon, as I have more tutorials in the works already, but I can't wait to try it.
@BlackVulpes Thank you, that means so much that you find such value in my work to want to give me your hard earned money so that I can continue to make tutorials like these. But please don't feel obligated to. Your like and subscription is already enough 😊
Hey man, really love everything you do. In this shader in particular, I would like to give light shine to the darker side, in a different shade. Any suggestion to achieve this?
awesome stuffs!! if possible could you cover the anime Sand Land character? The 3d shader looks so much like hand drawn, not sure if that's purely 3d or even achieveable in only with 3d?
I'm thinking about making a children's show for a lot of reasons: an abrasion to people thinking they can *_generate a script, generate art, generate music,_* feeling that kids deserve better than Cocomelon & more things like Bluey and growing up with Sesame Street
@alekrex5905 I'll probably make a tutorial for it when I start making anime character modeling tutorials! Can't wait to share what I've been learning for that 😄
can i ask you something, in this video you show us how to make a metallic anime style shader and you show us silver (white ish metal), how do you change colors of the metal? just change the color not making it looks like other metal like gold or bronze
@albert_mry I will absolutely do a tutorial on the hand! Hopefully I'll be able to do that very soon, as well as begin making tutorials for modeling and shading anime characters in 3D 😆
@screenkiduniya3717 That is such a cool idea! When I get the chance, I'll definitely do this 😆 Also, thank you so much, that means a lot to hear, haha!
Yeah, i wanna ask you question. I know a lot of people who also create anime stylistic things in blender, but they are not so good at English and blender tools. I would like to create a channel and share your lessons for similar people who do not understand English. If you don't mind of course
@FunClubMedia__ Thank you for asking me about this, I really appreciate it! I love your idea, and I would be so excited if my content could reach people who speak a different language than me :D That being said, there'd probably be some copyright issues on UA-cam, and as this is currently my only source of income, I'd just like to talk about this a little more with you before I give the green light and say yes. I do want to make it clear, though, that I love your idea :D Would you be willing to send me a dm on discord so we can talk about this more? I'll link my channel for you bellow, and then you can send me a dm if you're interested! discord.gg/THnqEfJzcg
@incinerate162 That's a great question! I haven't tried baking it myself, but it's definitely worth a try. Are you trying to back the reflections to only show up in specific areas?
@@ComfeeMug I wanna import it into a game engine without making a new node setup...it's genos from one punch man....he has those metallic shader you mentioned and showed :)

Professor Mug has done it again, folks! 🔥🔥🔥
This is great! There is also a really cool technique for metal using matcaps! Since you can create your own kind of stylized reflections with it.
