Hey! I believe there is about 400-600ms of delay added to a satellite call, you may want to test making a call over Starlink by using something like google voice which allows free calls. I found the delay to be acceptable but noticeable, I have not tested it with Starlink though.
I live off the grid, and I work at a casino making only $19 hour as security guard. My only bills are my phone bill and car insurance. The rest is mine.

Just fyi,I switched to 100% wifi calling a few years ago and it really does do everything you need it to do. Except one thing. Mobile phones are used for ID verification these days, whether people realize it or not. So a wifi number will NOT be able to be used for banking, correspondence with the state or IRS, etc. It can also not be used to do simple things like verifying your ID to log into your email. I got locked out of my google account permanently after switching to wifi only. I had that account for over 10 years, and it wasn't a free account. I had been paying for it for years, and they still wouldn't let me in. You'll still need a phone with a SIM card in order to do things that require ID verification. I know that's stupid geeky stuff, just a heads up.
I imagine he has a diesel and makes bio fuel. That's a great option. I've talked about that before for sustainability. I can put a new 10 cylinder diesel engine in my van for $5k then I could do that.

Interesting, I've used it before and didn't notice a difference. I'll keep that in mind.

I have thought about it. I had bresse chickens at one point but my dog ate them all. I think I'll get a Plucker soon and I'll process more chickens.
