I've read there are two bolts (upper and lower) that are holding the rear quarter window. Did you remove both bolts or just the bottom to get access to the rear quarter window trim?
I just loosened the bolts and I have enough space to wiggle it out of my way. If after loosening there’s still no room just take off since it’s a lot less sketchy then everyone makes it out to be.
@ unfortunately I lost the car after hurricane Milton. But during that time and before I never got any water and issues from the new seals. And that’s including rain, tropical storms hurricane helene and even Milton rain never got in the car. I also went back after the video and put the silicone on the tabs and it assuming that’s what made a big difference.
Thanks for the video but where did you get your trim? I just did mine. Parts from Amazon and they sucked. I paid over 130 thinking they would be a perfect fit and no dice!!!
I actually got mine from eBay www.ebay.com/itm/387011902874?_nkw=For+Toyota+Prado+GX470+OEM+Quarter+%26+Door+Belt+Moulding+Black+SET+2003-2009&itmmeta=01J7F86GE8GJP1SD1WBRP2EGS4&hash=item5a1bb4fd9a:g:VREAAOSw5IJmRrwF&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAABMHoV3kP08IDx%2BKZ9MfhVJKkVi0UgIOyAi0dMFCL1lSNAlYZ0lw8qNdaohYxtjRHByZAYxeK3C%2BkRCUOS75Izj7H6%2Bvvp95GXwSc1tXI37Q42%2FP%2FL92SpZPEwhoR7LkpQdIWxKwLxBu2kvcKh6e0BDiZJG3NBbWmjTc7sBxtWqSBJS%2FljHrWtqA1wXtnhkuAgU4VFfxXrQJcRsyuVTmZolCrVedDnvWtgDVrwSS3rV9yj6CxvjNkeoE%2FHmnl5USmIdKS2L7uWoi%2BC8xEiTPwdaJIl7zeVW8AbZAuARREHTDaaWcTgM%2BGwSZAqVFyUrOc32pfMuL3kqnR6KWB%2FvSTUzg9NSo9SW44WswCgiIS5L0K9gPuHZGbxV658T%2BuAoYfg9hPYTqx7G8FfiRmfFWuf4D0%3D%7Ctkp%3ABFBMmIea6Ltk I’ve seen the process fluctuate super high and super low So I bought them at a mid point of 120 bit see some are higher now. We have like 4 major heavy rains and a tropical storm in FL and so far no leaks or any issues thankfully.
@@Torres_Antonio Thanks man. I also live in FL and I noticed water leaking in the GX. Hopefully I can get it changed out asap. Thanks again for the video and keep us updated.
@@gps996 Yeah like I said, thank, fully nothings came in yet. But I do want to check my sunroof drains and make a video on spots that usually leak and clean all mine out.

@ both, but its nothing crazy if you wanna take it off. I was just being lazy.
@ Thanks. How's it holding up? Did you apply any RTV silicone to the three tabs?

@@gps996 Literally took everything inside out and don't want to do that again for mold or anything cause by the elements.
How they holding up so far?
So far no issues, and we’ve had a lot of rain and the tropical storm in my area and no water has made its way in. So I’m happy with the purchase.
