This guitar really needs to be celebrated. I have it. While I can't make it sing like this guy (!) I can say it's a guitar I will never move on, which is something I do constantly (including plenty of Martins and Gibsons). It is a fabulous instrument in construction and performance. I have just sold a custom all-mahogany Martin parlour ( Westside 0-15m) which was similar in specs but which couldn't a candle to the Guild in terms of tone and playability. The Martin couldn't really handle strumming and was too 'scratchy' and bright to my ears. This is more versatile, and works for fingerpicking and lighter strumming, and has a smooth and mellow tone. With a very comfortable C shaped neck, generous string spacing at the bridge and a short scale, it is so fun to play. It also works great with Thomatik-Plectrum strings.
@@mikkeljulius7313 Thanks. It does come with a pickguard that you self-apply. It's quite thin and vinyl-looking. It doesn't really suit the colour of the M-25E and in my eyes it looks very cheap, so I have not attached mine. I'm not sure if it's the same that comes already attached to the M-20. I'd definitely get one made if I was thinking of buying this and wanted a guard.
Love Guilds. This new M-25E sounds just like a Guild (smile). I was inspired by Richie Havens and Bonnie Raitt. Since 1972 I've been playing Delta and Ragtime Blues on my beloved F50. -Doug Pratt, Atlanta, Georgia, USA
Argh. One more Guild to add to my list of things I need to buy. Some day. Why couldn't you have released this back around Christmas? Would have given me an excuse, at least!
One should always keep in mind during the Christmas season is the fact 1 month later NAMM will be held showcasing all the new equipment. Maybe we should ask they move NAMM to November!
Randy Trashcan - You got that right. Viewing these Guild videos gives the feeling of the very favorite Christmas presents that were under the tree when you were a little kid.
What differences are there between this and an M-20? I have an M-20 which I love, and a couple of the Westerlys. All 3 sound and play great, I am a total Guild convert. You make this one sound wonderful!
This is what I listen to everytime I feel a little down, and I have to say, it does the trick every time. Absolutely incredible ! ❤️

Very nice review. I'm considering this guitar but I really miss the "m-20" pick guard. Do you know if I can get it somewhere?

Anyone know what song this is??? I NEED to
Learn it
Doesn't sing as well as the matte finished one, but it does look nice.
As far as I know the finish is the only real spec difference?
doesnt get any better than curt chambers !
Sometimes the smaller acoustics have a better sound than the dreadnoughts and sj200s.
Yea you got that right.
When do these come out? Can't find them available anywhere yet!
How much $ are they?
cool
How much this one?
$1800
Got a tax refund coming yes honey its a another Guild!
Forget the guitar ... who's the artist!?
prettty squeaky check your mic placement
It's the stock strings. I have one of these and the string squeak when new was off the charts.
Nice, beautiful, amazing sound and not affordable at all...$2225 is not something that you can easily pay here in Latin America.
I've seen guitars for $49.99. Shop around.
Nice playing!
