Imandra can be a tough cookie, so here are 10 trucks I use that can make life easier. I'd also suggest unlocking the garage as that will also reduce the pain (see the description for that and all my other SnowRunner guides). Hope you find this useful and thanks for stopping by.
I used the Freightliner 114SD instead of the Step 310E. Yes opening the garage was the key to making this map a whole lot more enjoyable. Did you see the helicopters flying into the base? I hear the sound but like many things in Snowrunner, there is no one else...
I’ve been experimenting with scouts for discovering these snowy regions and came to a solution. Eventually I started using Yar with the radar trailer pulled by 8x8 Tatarin. While the tatarin has unstoppable capabilities in mud and snow and it doesn’t hesitate pulling other scouts through that, the yar is equipped with chain tires and helps the tatarin to deal with ice. The radar trailer enables to discover without being dependent on watchtowers. Yar also has pretty good fuel economy ratio, and both can be equipped with roof racks, so maintenance and fuel is not an issue. Tested. It looks like a train though. But it made my discovery progress much faster.
Imandra is tough. Just finished getting the garage unlocked. I used the Tayga, Azov 64131, & Tuz 420. The video you posted about how to get the garage was very helpful. Thanks.
I'm in Imandra now, still recuperating from the 'Unlock the Garage' nightmare mission (getting the Metal Bars in Lake Kovd and driving them to the Substation in Imandra should be made into a roadtrip film, honestly). In the scout department, I want to give a shout-out to - wait for it - the Khan 39 Marshall. Its weak spot is ice (having no chained tyres), but thanks to its balloon mud tyres and great manoeuvrability, I used it to go practically anywhere and get all the updates. It bounces a lot when traversing paths with scattered rocks, but tips very seldom. In any case, the autonomous winch gets you out of trouble quickly. Cheers, and thank you again for all your SnowRunner content. //Rick
The Kolob 74760 has become one of my favourite things ever when combined with the newly added wide trailer! That thing is just soo damn good and stable compared to many other combinations I tried. Can highly recommend this!
I used the Cat 745c to complete the Star in the Sky contract. I pulled my kolob that had the big high saddle wide flatbed across a rock covered shoreline. Sooo much power too. Plus the fuel add on was a must as I could refuel both trucks for a couple trips from the shore to airport 👌
I feel you are immensely unterated! I love the way you present, the British wit is definitely a nice touch! Both informative and entertaining! Subscribed

Love your vids and content, especially the laughs. Cheers dude, I look front wheel drive whenever I get the notification you have posted. Fwd (forward) to all the goodies you tell us about. Aside of the 'in' joke you are the leading snowrunner guy and we love it. Cheers Ben.
Ah yea the CAT745C. This and the Antarctic are two of the last trucks I would ever pick. The articulated steering in this game is absolutely horrendous. Which is weird because back in MudRunner with the K-700 and Skidder, they nailed it. The articulated steering was done literally to perfection on those two tractors and I loved driving both of them. So how in the world did the same dev team mess it up so drastically in SnowRunner? Until they patch the articulated steering and make it like it was in MudRunner, I flat out refuse to use the CAT745, Antarctic, or any other DLC vehicle that comes out with this steering. Their just to terrible to drive.
@@armsupwithlawrence Actually, nowadays I don’t have this kind of idea. Because there are lots of very well developed mods enabling me driving better. For example Zetros 6x6. Thanks for sharing your beautiful thoughts.

Just rewatched your best scout video.... I think you should do the same for other classes as I find those kind of videos entertaining and informative. My list for imandra was a bit different but some of the trucks appeared in the video. Keep up the good work!
I'd add the Azov 5319, the 8x8 beast pulled my Kolob with the wide body and the plane out of several pickles I put the truck in. Highly recommended for Imandra. Also excellent with the crane. I got fedup with having to do 3 trips with the Kolob and trailer so I just winched the wing on the Azov and drove it to the Airport. Then put it on the Kolob's trailer for the final glory. Also, I'd recommend the Voron AE-4380 with the magnet thingy. It's light, fast, sips fuel and can pull Kolob's if needed. It seemed much better than the Voron Grad for this map. Great vid, thanks for the selections.

A Tribe Called Cars Hey a bit ago I asked about a winch review. I think that would be cool. I kinda want to see how you would tests strength. I think what you could do is park a truck at the top of a hill and try to winch a trailer up up the hill with just the winch.
I've owned a Loadstar before (I've pretty much owned everything at one or another lol), I didn't really like it myself. Burned through fuel to fast and maybe I just got unlucky, but I honestly didn't find it that good offroad. It's certainly not close to replacing my Tatarin any time soon. That thing is nigh on unstoppable and in regards to rocks, just don't run dead center over them. Always keep one side of the Tatarin in the snow/mud/on the ground, and your literally unstoppable.
I used two Tatarins to scout the map, those beasts are unstoppable. Need a shortcut, just go off a cliff, they don't even take much damage and just keep going anyway. It's like 'release the twins of hell!'
To each their own I guess... Personally it`s my favourite scout. It drinks fuel pretty quickly, but I always have the pickup bed on mine which has a built-in fuel addon, and I absolutly love bombing down the various roads in this game. The only places where I find it strugggles is deep mud and particularly large rocks, bit it`s fast enough everywhere else that I don`t even care. It also helps to have the autonomous winch tho... I regularly try other scouts, but of the ones I currently own, they`re all boring in comparison
To date, the only truck I have more than one of is the Azov 73210 (crane + saddle low & crane + sideboard bed), but I'm feeling with the new engine the need to get a second F-750 with crane and small flatbed for the little single point cargo tasks. Current F-750 has all the maintenance related add-ons. And maybe another Tayga. Not sure why I only have one...
Avoz Antarctic is a beast for any map, yes it’s fuel hungry and can be tipped over if not paying attention, but it plows through mud and snow like nothing
I think azov 5319 gets slept on, high range gearbox and that thing flys, has 50” tires that are always on for AWD and DIFF...can also carry cargo and keep its spare tire
Another good scout for Imandra is the DON 71 Its good because its so light that it wont break through the ice and it can sometimes use the mini trees as winch points, also cause of its small size it can fit in places that no other truck can, and it can be used as a deployable mini scout because its light enough and small enough that most trucks can pick it up with the loading crane easily and it will fit in the back of most trucks that can have a flat bed or sideboard bed with a loading crane installed, and its not that bad off-road if you drive smart , also its fun little truck overall.
My fleet for Imandra: - 42-20 for the 71inch tires - 745c for the 71inch tires & stability - Tayga for scouting (don't hate me; I can't use any scout trucks here) - Grad for the standard deliveries & crane tasks - 73210 because it's just awesome - DAN for the heavy crane - Loadstar for the portable radar only. It's usually winched along by a bigger truck - 4380 for the metal detector Imandra makes me understand that there's no best truck for all things. I've found myself deploying several trucks all at once throughout imandra.
Yeah as annoying as it is, it's actually a well-balanced map in terms of making it difficult for all vehicles. Not having a clear winner is as if should be!
I think it might be OP (so wouldn't be surprised if it gets nerfed at some point in the future) but the Tatarin scout was a _lifesaver._ For some reason it was literally able to pull absolutely truck fully loaded with metal beams up any incline or over any terrain like it was butter & carrying nothing at all. Way more effectively than the CAT 745C, and like a third of the size too
I know it has a long nose, but I found the Kolob 74941 worked better than the 74760. The 747 has full time lockers, but they don't really work and the truck gets stuck on top of boulders. The 749 can drive at speed without anything on, and if it gets stuck on a boulder (such as those found along the shores of the lake) switch on the lockers or reverse a bit and you can keep going. For either truck, switch from the stock tires to a different compound. The stock tires are good for mud and deep snow but they offer no grip on ice or the tops of boulders and rocks.
I think it's definitely a close call, I find the 74760 faster and more agile but the 74941 does well in tough situations and I think it's got more torque but not much.
I thought i was golden with the artic expedition truck with a flatbed but my god it rolled every mud hole. I love the loadstar 1700 but the tuz 16 with roof rack, small fuel tank, and mud tires. Can't beat carrying 1100 liters of fuel and repair parts. Autonomous winch is a must because it rolls easily.
Me: *Feels like my life is over whenever I tip my truck* A Tribe Called Cars: *Actively goes out and tips his trucks for UA-cam footage* Me: "Am I a joke to you?"
They're effective. The P12 is good too and I've made a separate video of the 166 (another favourite). The 5319 is great if you're happy with less fuel, which I think is an issue in Imandra for some situations.
@@ATribeCalledCars I really like the 5319 with the Maintenance add on. It cures the fuel problem and the trucks seems to work even better with it on there. Pulling the Loadstar/Prototype Trailer I have fully scouted both Lake Kovd and Imandra and had no problems. Maybe when we get the Canadian DLC there will be a real engine for the P12 waiting for us. Keep up the great work! Love your videos!
I love the 745c but they made it so that container carrier can only carry containers, it makes sense but it was still nice to carry other 2 slot supplies :(
pro tip 8wheel tuz tartarin :D its a beast in towing and rescuing everything in imandra. ive got 2 stationed there. dont for the love of god try bringing your cat truck with a 3000L fueltank to the garage its just such a pain xD.
I used the western Star 4649 to unlock the garage in imandra the tyres I used were off-road as chained seemed to struggle alot with the snow/mud areas.
I just recently discovered that the bumper on the 10 wheel Azov has nothing to do with the real life one. The real one has a very sloped one that would make it so much less frustrating to drive off road. Its like the devs have purposely given it this shovel nose so it wouldnt be so OP. Go check it out.. Kamaz 5340.
@@ATribeCalledCars I thought about the copyright infringement also, but if you look at the 4380, they basically replaced the round headlights with square ones, and changed the look of the front grill. They didnt change much, or give it a 5ft antenna that gets caught every where to avoid getting sued by Ural. Given my experience with Imandra, as much as I love these guys for giving us Snowrunner.....I think it was done on purpose lol.
I have one and honestly the Azov 64131 I think is a bit overrated and not all that players crack it up to be. I'll give it that it's pretty good in mud and has 350L of fuel. But it seems prone to tipping, especially on rocks which there are a lot of in Imandra. Honestly I've had far more success with the Azov 73210. Yea it's nose catches at times, but usually it can just get places that the 64131 can't. Even over rocks the 73210 is better then most would give it credit for, and unlike the 64131 it won't roll over on you. Also fuel is heavy in this game and a tanker will make a truck noticeably more top heavy. So yea driving sideways off a steep cliff with a tanker, pretty much nothing would survive that. So that is definitely your fault, not the fault of the 73210. lol
I usually roll with a maintenance trailer but sometimes it's nice to try different things. I never go near that road now anyway, not worth fitting ice tyres just got very limited use. PS I prefer the 73210.
@@ATribeCalledCars btw I'd be down for a worst vehicles list. For me the CAT745 and Antarctic would 100% be on that list do how undrivable they are with the garbage steering. But those two made your 10 best so I know they won't make it. So yea curiosity has me, I'd be interested in seeing which vehicles you consider the worst.

Oh love the channel too I've seen mosdt if not all your videos! playing on PC using a PS4 controller through the EPIC store, question though, whats the best way to tr\ansfer the game over to steam, don't wanna lose my dsave or DLCs.
Yeah me too. I have two, one with fuel one with repair addons. I spent more time moving them around and getting stuck. I think this is just the wrong map for the GMC's
I used a few trucks from this list, especially the loady, but a couple different ones. I used 1 truck on the power line mission with ease, and I think everyone sleeps on it. The Freightliner 114SD, which is probably one of my favourite in the game for utility, size and stability. And the Twin Steer is a beast if you play it right, but did tip a few times. Combine the 2 and have an unstoppable duo
@@ATribeCalledCars the 73210 does well! Just the big rocks and boulders, if only there could be a lift and bigger tire this truck would be hard for even the tayga to beat!
@@averymartin2899 The 42-20 Antarctic is great too but what you gain in ground clearance you lose in versatility and stability! It's mainly a well balanced game.
YAR87 (even just stock), best in kola peninsula, use it to unlock the: Ford, Acteon & Warthog. With these 4 trucks you can finish both maps with ease. Trust me, you want small vehicles, not these behemoths in the video, you'll hate yourself for using large vehicles in kola peninsula. It costs only 20,000 and kola peninsula is littered with scout trailers, Ford can be crane+support, Acteon can be crane+smallsideboard, Warthog can be feultanker+support. Yar can even pull these trucks along (loaded) so you can beat kola peninsula with just the 4 vehicles in stock form, and do it reasonably quickly too.
Im a cheater so i just use the Mercedes zetros mod with the trailers by the same mod creator and it's served me well enough to the point i use a zetros as a scout+crane+2 load slot truck or a 4 carry with a trailers and still a crane. It even has a which that can be used without the engine
@@ATribeCalledCars I am using the p16 to pull the big trailer but its a real struggle to get it over rocks across ice, I think the real problem I am having is that all the possible routes are really not suited to a large trailer no matter what truck you are using.

I believe the most stable truck to be the long nose KOLOB. It will not flip unless you jam something under it at high speeds (74741)
Thanks. I just started Kola today
Good luck!
Great video. Haven't used the Step 310 ever but may give it a try. Also, the game is Forza Horizon 4, I believe!
Correct. And I'd never used it much but it can be useful. That and the AE with a metal detector are hard to beat.
You really have to take it steady in the Antarctic, but otherwise it's great.
Yeah Imandra was tough, I am glad I eventually got the garage
I just hide in there drinking tea, waiting for Canada...
A Tribe Called Cars im waiting for canada in teh deep forests of rift
When I am still on Island Lake. However when I buy the season pass and get to this map in a year I will surely use this video.
Thanks, hopefully they're useful.
Me: *Feels like my life is over whenever I tip my truck*
A Tribe Called Cars: *Actively goes out and tips his trucks for UA-cam footage*
Me: "Am I a joke to you?"
Haha yeah it's good to test the wrong ways to do things to find the right ones.
I hated almost every truck you chose! LOL. Loadstar, F750, Tayga and Voron's are all good. P12 , Tuz 166, and Azov 5319 are in my list of favorites.
I love the 745c but they made it so that container carrier can only carry containers, it makes sense but it was still nice to carry other 2 slot supplies :(
Yeah sucks, it wasn't exactly overpowered in the first place.
Voron grad with maintenance addon is my preferred scout. Gets the job done and without a problem. Had more luck with the Voron ae then the tayga.
AE and Grad are great too, I just have a love of the Tayga because of its tyres and it steers better.
pro tip 8wheel tuz tartarin :D its a beast in towing and rescuing everything in imandra. ive got 2 stationed there. dont for the love of god try bringing your cat truck with a 3000L fueltank to the garage its just such a pain xD.
Voron - 4380 in my favorite. Smaller gas taro is its downside but I really enjoy Searchlight And the ability to have the crane and a useful Flatbed
I have been using 2 ANK mk38, the Yar, TUZ 108 Warthog in Imandra.
Can’t wait for mods to come to console I hope you do mod car reviews because I’m sure you’d have a big audience
I'm keen to try out mods too, just waiting on the developer.
73210 Perfect for big crane/ my favorite rescue truck/ some bug fix with bumper make truck interesting to use
I used the western Star 4649 to unlock the garage in imandra the tyres I used were off-road as chained seemed to struggle alot with the snow/mud areas.
Yeah mud are my preference, my routes avoid the icy roads as much as possible.
The MAZ 543 mod, or the Scud truck as i like to call it, is also very useful for this map
Yeah that truck would work here, definitely. Good shout.
I’m gonna go ahead and say that the F750 is the best scout now. It’s just so versatile!
TBH, I used the YAR-87 with a scout fuel trailer to "scout" the whole map. It's kinda slow but you can't beat having all 6 wheels pulling.
The Tar 87 is my third or fourth favourite scout, so I get the love.
@@ATribeCalledCars
I been sharing the love with the F-750. Now that it has the new engine upgrade, it's pretty fancy.
The warthog is my nemesis flipped it 9! BUGGIN TIMES from garage to airport all while ik having the great fuel crisis on the 70s
My nemesis is the Actaeon. I've almost forgiven it but not quite.
@@ATribeCalledCars Yeah me too on the Actaeon. Good drifter though ...
A Tribe Called Cars All is made up with the horn though
Wait no - the Actaeon has the good horn.... never mind
Acteaon with chains full throttle is fine going down the lake
until the tire catches on 1 inch of snow
Indeed, very helpful. Thanks! a lot.
All trucks are created equal, some are just more equal than others
Haha exactly.
Trick to get the garage opened quickly:
Grab 2 metal planks from Lake Kovd instead of getting them from Imandra itself, it saves half of the time
Yeah my guide does this method, I think it's easier than the other method but depends on the route and your skills I think.
Please. Use chained wheels in snow. They are better. This is because that’s how the game has made it and under the snow is ice.
WOAH! The warthog can do wheelies the same way loadymcloadface can!
Essential knowledge!
A Tribe Called Cars did i mention the chevy apache is out?
I actually really enjoyed that map
I just recently discovered that the bumper on the 10 wheel Azov has nothing to do with the real life one. The real one has a very sloped one that would make it so much less frustrating to drive off road. Its like the devs have purposely given it this shovel nose so it wouldnt be so OP. Go check it out.. Kamaz 5340.
You're right, does seem like a nerf or way to avoid copyright infringement.
I’m holding my breath for the top ten worst👍
Such a great channel!
Cheers buddy.
I some reason decided to use the powerful TUZ 420 Tatarin for just pulling trucks around to go just a little faster ngl it rarely tipped over.
It's hard to beat if you avoid the really rocky areas. I just know everyone already knows it's a beast!
Have you thought about making a guide on how to complete the Armour cars and plane parts missions?
It's tempting because the missions are fun but also difficult. Maybe at least one will get a video.
Updated Twinstar review!
2.0: Reloaded. I may have to revisit albeit in less detail...
I have a question, how do i unlock the "special" skins for my Trucks? (I only have the One on the derry 3194)
They should just be there unless they're linked to a season pass.
I'm finding imandra rather enjoyable, I'm always up for new maps, I like exploring
You will like Wisconsin also then.
@@ATribeCalledCars sweet
As always thanks for the video. Is that the Forza Horizon 4 Porsche 911 GT3 RS pre order edition by any chance?
Always nice to see familiar faces. Yes, you are bang on. Such a great car but oh so unruly.
A Tribe Called Cars Unfortunately, I only own the Mosler MT900S and not that pre order Porsche. I am about to play some more Horizon 4 tonight to get another Nissan Pulsar GTI-R.
Hi Ben, thanks for the video, what was in update 1.11 that turned up yesterday? I don’t see a difference anywhere......
The patch notes mention bug fixes, including an issue with steering wheels. No extra content though.
If only there could be a raised suspension and possibly a bit bigger tire for the azov 73210! That would be awesome!
It would be nice but it would definitely be overpowered then. It's definitely in the top trucks list, I'd say.
Can you make a Comparison Video of all Varons?
Yeppppp.
@ Okay i bought the Grand and the AE
@@HappyTheory everybody is different i really like the 4380 to me always seems more stable . and awsome traction
@ Im at a Point where i pretty much have every Truck i wanted. Just finished all missions on the First map of lake kov
I use the krs 58 for this map but don’t, it has a very high centre of gravity and falls over if the terrain gets too steep
Indeed, especially with the thin offroad tyres.
Hey Ben, I'm only unlocking Imandra now, got the game when it first came out but didn't do anything for ages, until a month or so ago I started getting into it big time, I'm currently using the DAN 96320 toi go across Lake Kovd to Imadra, gonna try unlock the garage with it, wish me luck! Oh love the channel too I've seen mosdt if not all your videos! playing on PC using a PS4 controller through the EPIC store, question though, whats the best way to tr\ansfer the game over to steam, don't wanna lose my dsave or DLCs.
My gmc gets far enough to lead you on then tips over with the fuel addon. Its annoying but yet I continue to use it.
Yeah me too. I have two, one with fuel one with repair addons. I spent more time moving them around and getting stuck. I think this is just the wrong map for the GMC's
I find the fuel addons are a pain, better off using a fuel or maintenance trailer.
@@ATribeCalledCars Yeah but you gotta drive them back at the end. I like the 'recover' option. It's Soooo satisfying.
Also could use a best overall truck for this map... the struggle is real 😭😅
I'd say the Azov 73210 is hard to beat. Tayga / Voron D/Grad. Tayga King also does well.
@@ATribeCalledCars agreed, however I am only rank 22 lol, right now in using the 73210 and tayga, also your reply is much appreciated thank you
YAR87 (even just stock), best in kola peninsula, use it to unlock the: Ford, Acteon & Warthog.
Should I use the f750 or the loadstar?
64131 slovest BUT have big fuel efficency and pull all cargo
Imandra has a GARAGE? I thought it only had snow and pain.
Lol yeah the garage is the only place not trying to kill you.
Very cool selection of vehicles 🤠
Cheers, bit of a change this time. Hopefully Canada brings with it new tactics too.
@@ATribeCalledCars yea, I wonder what the new BOAR truck is😀
Im a cheater so i just use the Mercedes zetros mod with the trailers by the same mod creator and it's served me well enough to the point i use a zetros as a scout+crane+2 load slot truck or a 4 carry with a trailers and still a crane. It even has a which that can be used without the engine
Thx
Anytime ;)
Gotta redo your twinsteer video now that it has AWD option available 😏
It's possible I'll revisit!
How does this list not have the tartan? I love that thing
I found it too slow in Imandra personally, but it's great as always.
Am I the only one that uses the AWD twinsteer in Imandra 😂
Potentially, you're very brave.
The 750 DOES have excellent mud tires, it's just not in the categories, but read the the tire info..
Cats don't drink milk ;) just water :)
Mine did.
tayga forever!!! but need bigger fuel tank
Nice
Yar 87 is a good scout for Imandra, because it's ability to drive over broken ice
Good point, definitely a useful ability. That ice is not fun.
I literally just want them to fix the the slab bridge crossing my tires keep glitching into them and makes it impossible to use them
I have been trying to deliver the plane parts to the airport for 3 day’s and I still haven’t done one of them
I've not experimented much with these missions, what truck are you using?
@@ATribeCalledCars I am using the p16 to pull the big trailer but its a real struggle to get it over rocks across ice, I think the real problem I am having is that all the possible routes are really not suited to a large trailer no matter what truck you are using.
Bearfootbob I started using the kolob recommended in the video and it works pretty well.
In Yukon I'm finding it practically impossible to load and haul metal beams with any vehicle. Can you list or video your #1 metal beam vehicle. The vehicle list in game is long. So far I've tried 10 different vehicles, trying various trailers. I literally can't find a vehicle that will haul 2 metal beams at once. Again focus is either map in Yukon. Thanks
Okay..... I’m hungry now
Sorry about that.
I got a bowl of ice cream after that and kept on going on imandra
Is the f750 for all platforms ?
it's a phase 1 expansion truck so yes.
I now want chocolate cake and ice cream
I ended up having apple crumble and ice cream after this video.
4:07 well then again it has heavy truck fuel tank and prius consumption
Haha Prius consumption is the benchmark.
Where can i find this “tuz 108” ?
Imandra map, at the airport.
A Tribe Called Cars thanks but where’s that? should i purchase the map?
@@marobaham4296 No need, it's not far from the entrance of Imandra. I'd use MapRunner.info if stuck or just explore a bit.
The P16 engines’ fine. Its just it has really bad clutch slip.
It's a pain, I spent so much time trying to see if I could make it work in Imandra but it was just frustrating.
A Tribe Called Cars when you build up speed its good. As its immeasurable torque comes in
