What is the cold mode? I am new to digivice. I haven't gotten one since I was a child and am now interested in getting them again. I would like to get one of each color but altogether is very expensive.
@@george746 it's pretty much just putting the digimon on pause, its evolution timer won't go down and neither will its hunger/strength bars and there's no limit on how long you can keep it paused like that
The reduced pooping rate alone makes this very enticing. I feel like I can't leave my Digimon alone for more than an hour or they will definitely get sick. Heaven Help me if I don't wake up at the same hour they do. And pausing would be great for those days where I just can't stay awake until midnight like some of the later Digimon. But I'm with you oh, there's no way I'm going to pay Bandai's highway robbery prices and further encourage these awful practices. I'm just going to hope they release these overseas as well but I'm not holding my breath.
I don't understand why they keep releasing new devices through Premium Bandai either. Obviously it's selling well, seeing as how many versions they've been steadily releasing since the ver. 20th anniversary.
I really hope they do a Meicoomon version. I'm loving the QOL changes on it especially with the new training thing and the sleep adding to evo timer will make the full effort Digis actually take work instead of being basically the default like they are on the originals where it takes more work to not max out their efforts. I will absolutely buy one from JYW if they do Meicoomon. That training regime will kill any DM20 burnout I was having for a bit there.

Man I would kill for a Pendulum revival. I was going to go for the recent Pendulum Z’s but after seeing how shafted Veemon’s line was, I kinda lost interest. Would love to have a Pendulum revival for a full Veemon line lol
So there’s definitely some interesting stuff about the Digital Monster Revivals and some actual decent improvements but honestly I feel it’s nothing really all that special to write home about. However I do agree that a reissuing of the Digimon Pendulum ver 20th in a similar caliber to this would be nice especially for those who have a great interest in buying it. Hell I’ve been wanting to get one for some time because they actually have Digimon on there that I’d like to raise such as Guilmon and Veemon. I do hope that we get more better wide releases and rereleases for people just getting into the virtual pet scene.
I haven't gotten into digimon since I was a child and not my interest has been spark today by the video and now I want to start collecting them now. Sadly getting multiple is very expensive and I don't know what is the difference between the colors.
Until this video I didn't know that the B button scrolled through the stat screen. I've been using the A button the whole time (just got a DM20 a few weeks ago, my first v-pet). I'm not sure why they'd remove B scrolling when it doesn't affect anything to have it there, but I can see it from the perspective of "the A button is the scroll button" since you use that to scroll on the main screen and everything too.
Considering this video is close to 2 years old...have they implemented the fridge pause on the international versions by now? I kinda want a non X vpet as they have a far wider variety of mons, BUT as someone with 2 jobs, I REALLY need the fridge pause :(
Nope, English versions are all based on the original DM20. You can pause them though by hitting the reset button, and then loading your save data whenever you want to unpause.
Hi from Australia! I've been really enjoying the her 20th and have 3, even got my friend into it! I really want a couple of Pendulums but I refuse to pay the ridiculous prices that are asked for them and I'm not even prepared to pay $100AUD or more for the Pendulum Z. Pendulums should be available at Western retail and to be honest I think their whole decision to make all these releases Japan PBandai only releases is insulting and disgusting. All it does is promote greed and scalping. I've known PBandai would be wrong from the moment alot of the Gunpla kits started becoming PBandai kits. I've said enough I emotionally get amped up when talking about Bandai and their greedy business practises. In the end I just want a couple of Pendulums.
Ive been running 3 DM 20s for the last 2 weeks after finally finding out they exist, and purchased my 4th tonight. Just need version 4 to unlock everything. Honestly a difficult chore keeping them alive working full time let alone having the pocket space while working to hold them

I don't mind the improvement but at the same time I don't like some of the changes. I'm a bit skeptical about some of the changes and I don't feel like they should have removed some of them. To me the dp meter plays a big roll because this tells how much energy it still has before getting tired and a way to limit the amount of battle it has. To me tag training was better in the other version because it helps that there is a way of know if you succeeded or not. I'm just say, don't take my word for it. Overall this is kind of how I feel and I think it was good that they fixed some features.
I was playing around with the VPet 20th the bricks . And I was trying to hack my extra one for no reason even tho it's English . I was able to access the sound test and the disk checker . And I received my Digimon that died about 10 Digimon ago

can you battle Vpet X and Pendulum Z using the X and Z battle system? in the Japanese manual it says something about compatibility with vpet X and pendulum Z
Not directly, as the Z checks to make sure it's fighting another Z version, even though they use the exact same battle system. However, they can use the same battle system when using Alpha Terminal via an Arduino communicator
Hi Humulos! I Drop/ broke my Revival screen and replaced it with 20th English screen. Spot it gone lighter than original Revival screen that is already lighter, or is it just me?
The screens display differently when placed in other devices, so it wouldn't surprise me. Throwing an English screen into the DMX Purple didn't make it any darker on my end, still just as light.

You open it up, locate the JP2, JP3 and JP4 connectors and then either bridge or sever the connections in different combinations to get a different version. It's not a very useful thing to do though, since the exclusive egg simply changes when you switch versions, so it's not like the Pen20 where you can unlock every egg.
While it's possible, I am not sure if it would make a noticeable difference. Swapping the DMX1 and DM20e screens was a massive change, but in my experience swapping other screens, it really doesn't change contrast much.
just got the brown one and found a little something strange. trying unscrewed the rear shell to get into the board and it stuck on the lower right corner where a speaker normally located. don't know what cause this.
That's what I was wondering, if there are any changes. But since the material didn't say anything I just said meh, not getting it. Now I kind of regret it, but I mean, who would have thought? lol

Yes, the battery lasts between 2 to 3 months. Data is saved frequently, so you can reload your Digimon right from where you left off after changing the battery.
While the Revival has improvements, I think the one that you purchased is overall a better option due to the price. The improvements are not worth paying more than double for.

This item is not a retail device, it was sold via pre-order only and can now be purchased via resellers for upwards of 4500 yen. I would recommend buying the English Digital Monster Ver.20th instead, which is much cheaper.

8:15 You don't need to connect to five unique devices, you need to connect to five devices with different Tamer names. You can have one device, and reset and rename it, and it counts. As for this device, it would be tempting if it had a Lunamon egg without Alphamon color scheme that comes off easily. But this doesn't seem to be a thing, and with US devices out of my reach, welp, I am stuck to my Alphamon color.
Yep! Renaming a device turns it into a new, unique device, as the memory has been wiped. While you can get the 5 unique device connections from one physical device, doing so means the device you are resetting will never get the 5 unique device connections necessary. This is how the revival is different, as it only requires the one device connection, not 5
It's not a big deal - I purchased my second DM20 with a specific task in mind - to unlock a Lunamon egg. The eggs that unlock on brown and grey devices aren't even that good - it's just an Adventure main with it's evolution line. This isn't a problem with Lunamon because I like her line entirely, but Adventure's Agumon and Gabumon aren't even close to my favorites. Revival is nicer, yes, but unless has a Lunamon egg, I am not interested in buying one.

There is no option to put Digimon to sleep before the Sleep time, so you have to stay awake during Digimon's sleep time. For certain Digimon, that's midnight. On DM20, you can put them to sleep at 21:01, but on Revival, you have to stay awake until midnight. This ruins the whole device. Sleeping isn't a problem on DM20, while Pen20's freezer survives the Sleep time.

You cannot, the Revival doesn't have a name feature.

You can activate by just turning off the lights anytime the Digimon is awake.

All Digimon from the DM20 series can be loaded in via Debug mode, including Meicoomon.

It seems that digimon won’t evolve within the fast forward mode.. i test last night.
I have indeed had Digimon evolve while in Fast Forward on my Revival.
Where i can buy this version of this DM20th ?

The exclusives are the same as the Version A and B DM20, so Taichi's Agumon and Yamato's Gabumon

8:15 You don't need to connect to five unique devices, you need to connect to five devices with different Tamer names. You can have one device, and reset and rename it, and it counts.
As for this device, it would be tempting if it had a Lunamon egg without Alphamon color scheme that comes off easily. But this doesn't seem to be a thing, and with US devices out of my reach, welp, I am stuck to my Alphamon color.
Yep! Renaming a device turns it into a new, unique device, as the memory has been wiped. While you can get the 5 unique device connections from one physical device, doing so means the device you are resetting will never get the 5 unique device connections necessary. This is how the revival is different, as it only requires the one device connection, not 5
It's not a big deal - I purchased my second DM20 with a specific task in mind - to unlock a Lunamon egg. The eggs that unlock on brown and grey devices aren't even that good - it's just an Adventure main with it's evolution line. This isn't a problem with Lunamon because I like her line entirely, but Adventure's Agumon and Gabumon aren't even close to my favorites. Revival is nicer, yes, but unless has a Lunamon egg, I am not interested in buying one.

This aged poorly. Revival's Freezer is worse than DM20's sleep. If your Digimon is frozen, and it's Sleep time, it unfreezes the Digimon, and sends a call to put Digimon to sleep. There is no option to put Digimon to sleep before the Sleep time, so you have to stay awake during Digimon's sleep time. For certain Digimon, that's midnight. On DM20, you can put them to sleep at 21:01, but on Revival, you have to stay awake until midnight.
This ruins the whole device. Sleeping isn't a problem on DM20, while Pen20's freezer survives the Sleep time.
how to debug mode?
Soldering the JP1 connection on the board activates Debug mode

Yes indeed, you can even start them off as Pitchmon and go from there, they will evolve normally
