It'd be pretty cool to be able to have a device that you could customize and call your own whilst having an ever expanding roster of Digimon to raise. That way it feels like the device is entirely unique to you and grows with you over time
I had no idea the english x2s were already up for pre order I grabbed my self the green and navy one. I think the reason the X devices are my favorite is because all the digimon are in one huge branching tree so even if theres less overall it feels like theres more because you have more than 2 options when digivolving like in the version 20th. It would be cool if we could get something like an X final thats got all the eggs from the X devices all on one thing that would be the perfect digivice i think.
I'm just getting into this community and man, this feels like a great time to do so. Your channel, website and discord are amazing, it's awesome to have so much support to get into this right now. I started with the Vital Bracelet but quickly went over to the v-pets, I'm loving my DMX and DM20 so far and I can't wait to see what else they do next. I'm really looking forward to the DMX2 because of the bigger roster.

In defense of the Vital Bracelet: the lack of typical v-pet features is offset by having to exert your own stamina. I've only been playing with mine for a week, but I've grown surprisingly attached to my Digimon, and I check the watch whenever I feel my muscles howl. Then you get to bring em to Raids and the Arena and it's like, look at my lil guy go! We trained together! 💪 My main complaint is the economy-if you're willing to use items, you can near-deterministically win battles and guarantee evolution paths without losing V-coins. I wish it was more volatile. Though, I understand why they'd want a fitness device to be more consistently encouraging... or maybe it's to encourage you to chew through DiM cards!
My personal favorite is still the Beelzemon Pen20th because of the roster. The fact that I managed to get it when the price wasn't crazy stupid at the time helps lol
You know I certainly agree with your thoughts on the DMX, The fact that you have so many choices of evo for your digimons is by far the best thing the device could have. I also like the fact that its an improvement over the DM20th. No longer having to struggle keeping your digimon alive with functions similar to the pendulums its way more efficient. One thing that really bums me is having digimons at ultimate evolve. Not to say that its bad like I know its optional but still what if you just want to level up without using care mistakes you know. Certainly can't wait to get one.
I just picked up the glow in the dark DM20 at my wal-mart and the red/black DMX, and i think they're pretty fun, even if I'm not too devoted to em. I prefer having the VB on my wrist for easy access, but they're still cute.

My big gripe with the Pendulum Z (and looking at the charts for previous Pendulums, I guess all of them) is how linear the tree is if you're not Jogressing. I don't really like Jogress because there's no care involved, it's just a free evo. So when nearly every Digimon starting at the adult stage only naturally evolves into one thing, it's... kind of boring. Having a good third of the roster locked by connections is pretty shitty, too. You need the entire wave plus one from the other wave to complete just one device, and that's just plain obnoxious. I've been holding out on getting an X 'cause I thought that I'd only get the one device, so I want X3 with the biggest roster (I was pretty confident Bandai US would release the other waves as "new colors"). But lately I'm really feeling the itch, so I might just bite the bullet and grab an X1...
Agreed the arena is also so easy to steam roll by brute force. Just let your mon fight by itself an i promise you will beat the arena. Just kinda too easy to raise mons.

The dmx is great that's my main device, but I can't help but wonder why people spend so much money on them, it's just driving prices higher and higher, seems like a loop where devices are expensive from the get go plus they are limited release then re sellers just ask for like 40-60 dollars more and people buy them, rinse and repeat??? Its not very beginner friendly, kinda hard to believe how the Vital Bracelet has more features than most Vpets and is still cheaper than the vast majority of new releases. Thank god Bandai sells the Dm20 and X as a regular item and not some limited run
Yes you could make alot of money buying aload then selling a few years later with some of these virtual pets, for example the modern tamagotchis seem to double in value on ebay when next generation comes along and things.
Here in Australia the Digital Monster X released in most, if not all retail stores around march 2021. And i know it is also been released in New Zealand too.
Personally speaking I hope they are working on a new traditional V-pet. The Vital Bracelet is nice but it's no substitute for a real v-pet. They feel more like the anime digivices, except it added the ability to kill your digimon and branching non-temporary evolution. I also don't care for DIMS. What I do hope is that the Vital Bracelet has some influence on the next traditional V-pet. Mostly that it has a color screen. They could re-use the vital brace sprites and i'd be okay with that as long as it had traditional v-pet mechanics and more interaction. Tamagotchi has been way ahead of Digimon in this regard for years.
Just started playing Pendulum Z last week. I had better experience compared to Dual Pen20th and Dual DMX3. It's good only if you have all 3 of each wave or both waves. The most fun part is the Jogress fest when you have multiple adult digimon on every device. But if I can only own a single device, Pen20th>Revival>DMX2/3 imo.
As much as I love Digimon X I wish they just re-released the original Pendulum X. There's hoping for Pendulum Progress 20th but yeah I'm not hoding out my breath for that either...
I also wish they did more with the pendulum Z, it's like some lazy reskin of the dmx, it's also pretty clear that they are just banking on the nostalgia factor and also made it as a sort of companion device for the 2020 adventure reboot instead of trying to do more like when they made the DM20th, Pen20th and DMX

Digimon XA has been easily one of my favorites. Going from the original Ver 1 to this was a massive upgrade. I’d personally recommend the Digimon X to anybody looking to get into the series. Having the branching paths, the ability to raise multiple Digimon and the ability to freeze a Digimon make the experience so much nicer. Not to mention the quest mode allowing for more battles than the usual 15 for evolution.
I wish theyd make a colored digimon vpet like how Tamagotchi has been getting colored stuff for years, and no I dont mean like the vital bracelet, I WANNA CLEAN SOME POO
Just bought the turquoise Digimon X today. Had friends who owned digivices growing up but never owned my own. I never owned a tamagotchi either. I grew up in a home where stuff like this was discouraged on one side of the family or the other side was too poor. Thought it would be fun to try out on my work days.
I had gotten a ver20 when those hit the US and enjoyed it- but found that needing to care for it 24/7 just wasnt viable as an adult in the way that it was for me as a kid lol. but I got an X and love it, absolutely what I want in a throwback vpet since it's got the freeze function. preordered one of the upcoming X2s and I'm excited to have multiple vpets going.
Do you know if is there some apps or web page to keep count about battles, care mistakes, trainings, ecc maybe something you can fill out to applicate your progress or program the evolutions?
I really need to allocate funds for some of the X series devices. I spent a bunch on the DM20 when they first released in Japan (Grey and Alphamon colors) and then am waiting on shipments to get started with the Vital Bracelet. The fact that they began doing English releases of these last year completely flew under my radar.
I really do hope we get a classic style device with a color, and backlit screen. Something that's a little more isolated to the device itself and doesn't need an app. Don't get me wrong the app is the best part of the Vital Bracelet too... it's just that I really do want a more traditional Digimon raising experience with the updated visuals. Anyways, thanks for another video showcasing the best and easiest modern devices to get into. I also agree that the X is the best device just because it really fuses the best aspects of raising with extra fun mechanics.
So im just starting to think about getting into VPets but I'm really surprised there isn't some fan made Rasberri Pi VPet that you can add your own pets and sprites too
I’m not gonna lie I do not like the dmx as much as I like the dm20. I like the idea of raising 2 different digimon and the massive amount of different evolutions. The dmx is definitely more fun the first time, but in the long run it gets more repetitive for me. The only problem I have about the dm20 is that the fridge option isn’t a thing
Same complaints with the pendulum z, had so much hope when I bought all 6, only run all the way through the first three, and next to no motivation to connect them all cause I don't want to get sucked into the agumon/gabumon agunimon/wolfmon lines again and again; they totally should have made them separate eggs like the DMX V3 extra
And having just one leaves a lot of stuff locked, so you just need at least 2 to enjoy most of it. You can't even have one from wave 1 and wave 2 to unlock things by the way, so yeah, the DMX 2 and 3 are the best by far for me. Shame, I loved the Deep Savers version on the Pendulum Z.
pendulum Z Virus Busters if you want that then, it's not completely dedicated to one line but they have 3 complete evolution line for guilmon, savers agumon and shoutmon
I would love to see a special edition royal knight vpet. Previously we have had vpets dedicated to a royal knight with the colors, but I would love to see one where you choose an egg of a Digimon that becomes a royal knight. Probably a pretty small roster tho lol

There has not been any indication of a new version as of yet. That doesn't necessarily mean they aren't making one, but I wouldn't expect anything major in the near future.

I honestly wish that the quest system for the pendulum z was the same with the digimon x. It would give you a reason to actually use that feature instead of just for leveling. That and instead of the pendulum z sounding like an digimon x it should have sounded like a regular pendulum. Overall the pendulum z was lackluster compared to the others v-pets, but sadly get them while they're new or else later down the line you'll be paying scalper prices...
Yeah. PenZ is still charming in its now right. But the oops! All agumon/gabumon! Rosters sucked. Moreover, while jogress was and still is fine on the Pen20th, it's too easy on the PenZ. At least force us to keep the digi for about 24 hours or something like that. Even worse, most of the roster is kind of locked behind jogress. I do still run them, they can be fun, but the repetition is just too much. Now the DMX? Great stuff, even if Sakuyamon got turned into a stripper. I already have all 3 sets, but due to the bad paint job on the DMX C and D version, I'm getting the alternate colors for those. Same as the DMX E and F versions. Would I like a modern vpet? Yes please. One that has an adventure mode, but I still raise my digimon. Have to feed it, clean up, train it. Hell, a videogame like monster rancher would be cool as well. But now I'm stretching the definition of a VPet too much. I want to see a backlit screen, colour sprites, interchangeable digimon memories for more choice... Come to think of it, call it the digimon clever, with clever cards. Or just the smart with smart cards...
I know this is not really about the video but I’m curious. So let’s say you only have two 20th versions vpets, but you want to unlock the Coronamon on the version c, can you just reset and change the name to a different name then it was previously and would it count as a unique vpet to complete the 5 unique requirements?
I love the X series branching paths, but the grind is a bit of a nightmare. At least it is on the X1 where there's no EXP Coat and no set grinding stage, so if you have to get up to level 8 or even 10 it takes ages and you really feel the grind when doing it. Luckily the X2 and X3 fixed that issue by adding EXP Coat and Stage 13.
Weird haha, I actually found the grinding on the X1 to be pretty easy, it's just a matter of repetition and findings the best stages, once you get to stage 4 digimon you can use areas 28-30 to level up relatively fast, and stage 5 is just a matter of using level 30
i was able to get the dmx v1 off my walmart app. i wish it had all the eggs like the dm20 and the 2 pets features. but over all i like and its my current main pet
I have a Digimon X and am waiting on my 20th anniversary versions. There are some eggs on the 20th that can be unlock by doing like 50 battles. Can those battles be with my X?
I really like my vital bracelet but my only complaint is that you only get limited storage capsules on the app so you can't have all the Megas at once unless you can get more from the occasional raids but that's tough to do
I feel like the vital bracelet is pretty lame. It requires the app to get anything done and the gameplay of the bracelet itself is somehow a huge step back from the Digimon x series. It also costs 3x as much as a Digimon x just for the bracelet and then you have to buy the dims on top of that.
The DM 20 dies WAY too easily. I can't keep them alive while I sleep or when I'm at work and can't get to them until break...I have my grey one in a save state that I never get to use anymore...But, the Digimon X that I have is great and my Digimon doesn't die so easily.
I have just been getting the ones released in English. I usually import from the USA. But now I am certain they are coming out uk I will wait for them to come to my own country like a year after America or they may stop selling them locally to me

I haven't done much in my main channel, as the last video I did there kind of bombed sadly, so I've chalked up my successful videos to more of a fluke and am putting all my focus into my primary hobby you see here, which has been a ton of fun. The heart rate sensor on my original VB is fine, the digivice V however doesn't read my heart rate at all, nor does it care to, as it will tell it it succeeded whether or not it's on my wrist, it will also set my heart rate to 80/80 every time . I'm wondering if this is the default setting of the Digivice V or if its mine in particular

And if you're this bitter towards the community I don't know what to tell you. I can only tell you my experiences and they have been fine. I don't think I can give any kind of solution on it.
I’d get a Vital Bracelet if it was waterproof but its not…and 100% of my exercise is done swimming. Lol Plus there’s the thing of it not working on darker skin (I’m originally from India and I’m tan) and sure, I can easily use the tape trick but I shouldn’t have to. Idk, just felt a bit excluded by that bit.
@@SharkWitchMeruna If you dive into the Vital Bracelet I highly advise you get the new Digivice V. I have melanated skin as well and the original Vital Bracelet did not work at all for me. HOWEVER, the new Digivice V works perfectly for me! I haven't loss any vitals in the 2 months I bought it. Plus it gives accurate readings throughout the day and when I exercise. The Digivice V is just overall better compared to the first model.

Just bought the turquoise Digimon X today. Had friends who owned digivices growing up but never owned my own. I never owned a tamagotchi either. I grew up in a home where stuff like this was discouraged on one side of the family or the other side was too poor. Thought it would be fun to try out on my work days.

I had gotten a ver20 when those hit the US and enjoyed it- but found that needing to care for it 24/7 just wasnt viable as an adult in the way that it was for me as a kid lol. but I got an X and love it, absolutely what I want in a throwback vpet since it's got the freeze function. preordered one of the upcoming X2s and I'm excited to have multiple vpets going.
For UK folk that want a DMX: check Forbidden Planet and Magic Madhouse, I've seen DMXs for sale in all four colours there!
It's available on Amazon too - they tend to get discounted pretty often. I picked a red one up for about £12 before Christmas.
Do you know if is there some apps or web page to keep count about battles, care mistakes, trainings, ecc maybe something you can fill out to applicate your progress or program the evolutions?
I really need to allocate funds for some of the X series devices. I spent a bunch on the DM20 when they first released in Japan (Grey and Alphamon colors) and then am waiting on shipments to get started with the Vital Bracelet. The fact that they began doing English releases of these last year completely flew under my radar.
I'm wondering if they'll release 20th anniversary Dims for -Ranamon- Frontier.
I really do hope we get a classic style device with a color, and backlit screen. Something that's a little more isolated to the device itself and doesn't need an app. Don't get me wrong the app is the best part of the Vital Bracelet too... it's just that I really do want a more traditional Digimon raising experience with the updated visuals.
Anyways, thanks for another video showcasing the best and easiest modern devices to get into. I also agree that the X is the best device just because it really fuses the best aspects of raising with extra fun mechanics.
So im just starting to think about getting into VPets but I'm really surprised there isn't some fan made Rasberri Pi VPet that you can add your own pets and sprites too

I’m not gonna lie I do not like the dmx as much as I like the dm20. I like the idea of raising 2 different digimon and the massive amount of different evolutions. The dmx is definitely more fun the first time, but in the long run it gets more repetitive for me. The only problem I have about the dm20 is that the fridge option isn’t a thing

Same complaints with the pendulum z, had so much hope when I bought all 6, only run all the way through the first three, and next to no motivation to connect them all cause I don't want to get sucked into the agumon/gabumon agunimon/wolfmon lines again and again; they totally should have made them separate eggs like the DMX V3 extra
And having just one leaves a lot of stuff locked, so you just need at least 2 to enjoy most of it. You can't even have one from wave 1 and wave 2 to unlock things by the way, so yeah, the DMX 2 and 3 are the best by far for me. Shame, I loved the Deep Savers version on the Pendulum Z.
Would love a new v pet with dedicated evolution trees like the ancient warriors bracelet instead of the usual WTH evolution trees.
pendulum Z Virus Busters if you want that then, it's not completely dedicated to one line but they have 3 complete evolution line for guilmon, savers agumon and shoutmon
I would love to see a special edition royal knight vpet. Previously we have had vpets dedicated to a royal knight with the colors, but I would love to see one where you choose an egg of a Digimon that becomes a royal knight. Probably a pretty small roster tho lol
Digital Monster X versions E and F are exactly that, the final forms are all the X variants of the Royal Knights

There has not been any indication of a new version as of yet. That doesn't necessarily mean they aren't making one, but I wouldn't expect anything major in the near future.

Btw just to let you know the Digimon X were officially released in the UK quite a while ago and are readily available through Amazon UK for £19.99, with pretty regular discounts. They come with an English, Spanish and French instruction sheet in the box.

It adds on ~20% of total of product + shipping for import tax but with our dire post-Brexit economy it ends up pretty close to the RRP of these things over here anyway.
I honestly wish that the quest system for the pendulum z was the same with the digimon x. It would give you a reason to actually use that feature instead of just for leveling. That and instead of the pendulum z sounding like an digimon x it should have sounded like a regular pendulum. Overall the pendulum z was lackluster compared to the others v-pets, but sadly get them while they're new or else later down the line you'll be paying scalper prices...

Yeah. PenZ is still charming in its now right. But the oops! All agumon/gabumon! Rosters sucked. Moreover, while jogress was and still is fine on the Pen20th, it's too easy on the PenZ. At least force us to keep the digi for about 24 hours or something like that. Even worse, most of the roster is kind of locked behind jogress. I do still run them, they can be fun, but the repetition is just too much.
Now the DMX? Great stuff, even if Sakuyamon got turned into a stripper. I already have all 3 sets, but due to the bad paint job on the DMX C and D version, I'm getting the alternate colors for those. Same as the DMX E and F versions.
Would I like a modern vpet? Yes please. One that has an adventure mode, but I still raise my digimon. Have to feed it, clean up, train it. Hell, a videogame like monster rancher would be cool as well. But now I'm stretching the definition of a VPet too much. I want to see a backlit screen, colour sprites, interchangeable digimon memories for more choice... Come to think of it, call it the digimon clever, with clever cards. Or just the smart with smart cards...

I know this is not really about the video but I’m curious. So let’s say you only have two 20th versions vpets, but you want to unlock the Coronamon on the version c, can you just reset and change the name to a different name then it was previously and would it count as a unique vpet to complete the 5 unique requirements?
Yep, that will work just fine, though the second pet of course will not gain any unlocks since it is reset every time.
I love the X series branching paths, but the grind is a bit of a nightmare. At least it is on the X1 where there's no EXP Coat and no set grinding stage, so if you have to get up to level 8 or even 10 it takes ages and you really feel the grind when doing it. Luckily the X2 and X3 fixed that issue by adding EXP Coat and Stage 13.
Weird haha, I actually found the grinding on the X1 to be pretty easy, it's just a matter of repetition and findings the best stages, once you get to stage 4 digimon you can use areas 28-30 to level up relatively fast, and stage 5 is just a matter of using level 30

I have a Digimon X and am waiting on my 20th anniversary versions. There are some eggs on the 20th that can be unlock by doing like 50 battles. Can those battles be with my X?

I really like my vital bracelet but my only complaint is that you only get limited storage capsules on the app so you can't have all the Megas at once unless you can get more from the occasional raids but that's tough to do

I feel like the vital bracelet is pretty lame. It requires the app to get anything done and the gameplay of the bracelet itself is somehow a huge step back from the Digimon x series. It also costs 3x as much as a Digimon x just for the bracelet and then you have to buy the dims on top of that.

It is very unlikely that they will, since Bandai is selling them direct to Americans and other territories.
The DM 20 dies WAY too easily. I can't keep them alive while I sleep or when I'm at work and can't get to them until break...I have my grey one in a save state that I never get to use anymore...But, the Digimon X that I have is great and my Digimon doesn't die so easily.
I have just been getting the ones released in English. I usually import from the USA. But now I am certain they are coming out uk I will wait for them to come to my own country like a year after America or they may stop selling them locally to me

The heart rate sensor on my original VB is fine, the digivice V however doesn't read my heart rate at all, nor does it care to, as it will tell it it succeeded whether or not it's on my wrist, it will also set my heart rate to 80/80 every time . I'm wondering if this is the default setting of the Digivice V or if its mine in particular
Yours in particular. If it couldn't read it, you wouldn't get 80/80 mostly. Was some other kind of number like 100/65.

I’d get a Vital Bracelet if it was waterproof but its not…and 100% of my exercise is done swimming. Lol Plus there’s the thing of it not working on darker skin (I’m originally from India and I’m tan) and sure, I can easily use the tape trick but I shouldn’t have to. Idk, just felt a bit excluded by that bit.

@@SharkWitchMeruna If you dive into the Vital Bracelet I highly advise you get the new Digivice V. I have melanated skin as well and the original Vital Bracelet did not work at all for me. HOWEVER, the new Digivice V works perfectly for me! I haven't loss any vitals in the 2 months I bought it. Plus it gives accurate readings throughout the day and when I exercise. The Digivice V is just overall better compared to the first model.
