I learned to throw a toothpick like a dart

- I watched a single viral TikTok hack and then spent way too much time this week going down a toothpick throwing rabbit hole.
Spoiler: I tried their method and hated it.
So I made it better (using a technique from the ancient Aztecs).
Was it worth the 72 hours it took to achieve (possible) marginal internet fame? Let's find out.
Learn from my failures, and watch me attempt to become KING OF TOOTHPICKING.

man, I really hope so. thanks for stopping by!
Thanks for the advice I tried the first one but failed and now seeing the difference between methods i finally can master the art thanks so much I’ll be watching your methods a lot for the next couple of days
Hell yeah. I'm stoked you're giving it a go! Thanks for taking a min to comment, Jackson. It's cool hearing what you're up to.
Glad to hear the encouragement that’s a sub
Really like this video!!! Can't wait to see more!!!
hell yeah! thank you 🫡
I’ve been practicing for a good while now, and almost every time I hit my target, it sticks! My only problem is hitting my target. Any suggestions?
@bricksinmotion942 Hell yeah. Well done.
Mm...2 things.
1. Make sure you're applying force to the toothpick in a straight line. It's easier to get the timing down when your shots follow a consistent trajectory. I prefer throwing high to low, but right to left also works, depending on your target. If it's a wide target, throw sideways. If it's a tall target, throw vertically. If it's square or round, then either one works.
2. Start with a BIG target first. It's more rewarding and will trick your brain into enjoying practice. Once the big target feels too easy, switch to something smaller. Keep practicing, and don't pressure yourself to figure it out immediately. You're going to be amazing at this if you keep giving yourself some time to cook.
My new dnd char is going to be doing this lol
Hahah that's amazing. Thank you for sharing
Awesome breakdown of this old style!

Why aren't you famous bro, your Really good keep it up bro!!

thank you for making it that deep into the video. MVP.
i didnt realize this was a small chanel until i looked at the comments dammn
😂 appreciate you
Best but it is tough
Start off with as amatuer with metal picks within a tutorial so they do not break, and then with wooden toothpicks as advanced.
Man, I didn't even realize they made metal picks. That would have made learning a lot easier, especially with the added weight
@@robversus Yep, they will have something like that if you search on Google. Try a sewing needle as thin as you can get maybe it works better? It dont break as well as its heavy!
Another cool skill done
need to show my son this lol awesome!
haha could be a fun way to spend an afternoon together. have a good time!
Very cool. Curious what else you'll come up with!
Thank you so much! If you've got ideas, I'm all ears. In the meantime, appreciate you!
