That notice hurt both us more than we had ever hurt before. I was gone a little over 2 years. I arrived at the airport and Carol was there standing at the gate jumping up and down. It's been over 56 years since then and we've never been apart since then. I never knew love could be like this. I never knew I could have a life like we've had. Carol says most older folks spend their time reliving memories, but we are making new ones every single day. Our daughters say we are like teenagers still. We are in our late 70's and She still lights up my life every single day.
