If you're the colligiate record holder, why would you risk getting outkicked? Like fr if you're the fastest (collegiate) of all time why risk it, they would have to follow him if he went out.
You're not always your fastest every day. He probably is not in top form and maybe thought he would die out if he went out too hard. Track is as much mental as it is physical at the upper levels and is not simple at all.
Running in the altitude in Blacksburg has done Virginia Tech well. The VT distance runners are becoming almost as well known as the Blacksburg High School distance runners.
exergy2 If you say so...but you are incorrect. The affects of training at altitude are felt at various levels. However, sprint/jump/throw marks only get the "altitude" designation at certain levels. Blacksburg has the highest elevation of any Divison I college football town east of the Rockies. My point stands and performance of VT's distance runners and Blacksburg High School's distance runners validate my point.
If YOU say so. Illinois, coastal California kick VA's butt. Under 1000 ft. Certainly, there is a continuum of altitude effect, but I train at 2000 ft and above regularly myself, am a distance runner and cyclist, and it's not even noticeable.
exergy2 Funny...didn't see two Illinois runners in this final nor two Coastal Carolina runners. I suggest you take on some purr oxygen soon as clearly your brain is not getting enough oxygen.
In the finishing straight, I hate the way Josh moved into the second lane to block the guy on his outside. In reflection he should have continued into lane three and maybe he might have blocked Hoare!
A very exciting 200-meter race!
I hate that you're right lmao
You sure would run faster in that weather
Love how much the crowd got into this race, hearing all that clapping would have hyped me up so much
4:51 first place and last place less then a second apart. Amazingly close for all the runners.
Thats what happens when nobody pushes the pace
that dude from orgeon was getting beat up out there
Thanks so much for posting!
The mile/1500m is the perfect race.
Ollie, Ollie, Ollie!
Oi, Oi, Oi!
Well done mate. 🇦🇺
🍻 Cheers.
Wisconsin came out of nowhere 👀
bravo a tous

@@brianmccullough2420 you are an idiot. please listen from the 0:40 second mark to the 0:46 second mark
@@matthewm9547 talk is talk.
He is more of a speed guy so I don’t think he had a problem letting it be a one lap race
Im predicting not one of these men will make the World Championships final.
Never look over, costed him the race.
Shadow Phoenix cost
It always could but I don't think it was that close in this situation
I lost 4 county championships because I didn't look over
@@brianmccullough2420 I'd believe it

Elevation of Blacksburg is ~2000 ft. Altitude effect on training becomes significant around 5000 ft.

Lol
The guy who won looks like pewdiepie
That's too tactical! That looks more like a long distance race if they would run in lane 1
