30 year old here and wanted to take a trip down memory lane. This is unreal, the feeling I had as a kid when my brother and my cousins just popped this into the PS1. Thanks for uploading.
I’m 31 and I can’t stop smiling watching the intro, I had countless hours playing this when I was younger, every Friday after school all my mates would come round mine as I had a ps1 and we’d play this for hours.

The first ever wrestling game I ever played when I was 4 years old . My brother and I loved being the Hardy's and beating up Shane and Vince lol . Brings back memories , thanks for this video
Loved playing this game. Still remember when I got it - I was nine, begging my mom at a K-Mart in Louisville circa March 2000. She finally gave in and bought it. So many memories of playing the game for hours, both with friends and against the computer. Played several copies that belonged to friends as well. Whether I was at my house, or the house of a buddy, Smackdown served as an incredible escape. This game was almost as good as No Mercy.
I remember I was in high school and I saved up my allowance and I had my mom buy me a copy from Best Buy when she and my dad went to shop for a home computer. Fun times man. #2000
The best thing to reminisce about is the chatter and banter among friends during the silence of the dev logos, right before that banger of a jam indicates that IT'S ON.
It’s horrible now. Impossible to remember most of them so just end up bashing random buttons. No sense of accomplishment like in the old games. Just luck now.
I think the wildest thing in the world was getting a ps2 and then playing this game non stop align with SSX and Tekken Tag. I could not believe how amazing this game was for the time!
I was having this game on my old pc when i was kid it was my first wrestling game i've ever played, i really miss this game so much especially when i play as special guest ref.

My mom bought me this game at a swap meet. I had no clue what I was buying but it turned out to be the best game ever made. Spent countless hours playing this with my buddy. I use to enjoy watching the intro every time. The peoples elbow and the stone cold stunner… if you know you know. This game with tomahawk pro skater. And crash bandicoot.. awesome!
The first ever game I played on PS1 that my father bought as a birthday gift for my elder brother. After that I remember spending my after-school hours playing Smackdown and so many other games with my brothers and friends. Miss those days! I wish I still had that PS1 console -- so many memories were attached to it.
It's funny too because I remember when I would think back on this game prior to rewatching old clips, my mind made the graphics much better than they actually were 🤣
The ps1 case of this game used to mesmerise me as a child I would walk passed the gaming store and there it was sat out on a table with 50 of them stacked up every television in the store playing clips of the game and the intro knowing I had noway of getting my hands on it...... Then opening it xmas day as a kid popping it in right away and hearing that intro would make any kid run around his room with his nob out saying "na na na na na I've got wwf smackdown na na na" to my then younger brother who was given some snowboarding game sfx or some shit
