- In this episode of The DVC Show, we discuss dining options that we LOVE and feel maybe people miss out on or are not acutely aware of. Panda came in ready for a good diet day, and well, that was ruined! LOL

Nice to see Derek back! He always injects some great energy to the show 👍
Panda's excitement is infectious!
We stayed at Boulder Ridge this summer (and didn’t hate it nearly as much as you all do lol) and ate at Geyser Point our first night, then promptly ate there every night thereafter. Amazing. 100x better than any restaurant at MK, that’s for sure.
I love the story behind the name of the gurgling suitcase. It was all about key west’s role in the prohibition. Rum running.
I loved the italian sub at Boardwalk. I grabbed it a couple of times and we picked up a couple up for our flight home on our last trip.
If you’re staying at Saratoga, try the fish tacos at The Paddock Grill!
I absolutely love Kona Cafe too.
We went to Gurgling Suitcase when we stayed at OKW for a resort only stay. The bartender had everyone involved in conversing with each other. We met so many people and had such a good time. And did you know that you can actually order anything you want from Olivia's menu while you're at Gurgling Suitcase!! My husband and I had a bar food spicy buffalo chicken thing but our daughter ordered something on Olivia's menu. It was amazing!
The Gurgling Suitcase has a few tables around the corner and you can get the Southernmost Buttermilk Fried Chicken there too.
Sorry Pete, but Paul looks good in that chair!
Hot tip for Geyser Point - they will make an amazing fruit & cheese platter if you want the charcuterie without the meat. It was fabulous.
Quality on that charcuterie or cheese plate has gone way down though, unfortunately. Supermarket cheeses, no more honey or fig jam or anything fancy.
A few things MUST happen every WDW trip. One is take a boat ride to eat a Geyser Point.
Kona Cafe mobile order is the way! 😊 We’ll mobile order sushi and find a nice chair on the Poly beach to enjoy our dinner. Great view, great sushi….fun time.
We do go out of our way for Geyser Point. Love it!
Enjoyed this show so much! Our favorite places to eat are usually those least visited by most. Truly hidden gems. Thanks for sharing!
Don’t sleep on Territory Lounge @ WL. The menu change is great. If you are a Bourbon drinker give it a go. I really like the Bacon, the popcorn (minus the BBQ one) and ribs from next door. I think they have a few items they serve that are not on the formal menu. You have to ask. 😊
We need to stop telling people about Geyser point. 😉
Yes Derek! I loved Crews Cup for those prime rib sliders lol.
Great job guys, I think this is my favorite show. You all are great!
Thanks, Paul, Amy, Derek and Panda! This was a fun filled, hunger inducing show 😋 Amy has me drooling to try those lobster sliders at the Beaches Pool Bar & Grill at the Grand Floridian!
I love Kona, get the potsticker and 2 Lapu Lapus and call it a night!
Great episode! Hope you all had a happy holiday season.
Episode idea for the DVC Fan team. Which resort has the best gift shop?
I LOVE that idea for a show Johnny!
Great show guys! Thanks for sharing.
great fun episode. I liked both the topic and the places offered. thanks
Omg the potsticker 🥟! YESSS.
Amazing. My other favorite is the bahn mi sandwich. Wow. So tasty and layered with flavor. Enough to split so as to enjoy the potsticker too and more 😉
Geyser Point was our favorite lunch spot on Magic Kingdom days but unfortunately they are cutting corners on the food. The charcuterie/cheese plate was dismal last September. Supermarket cheeses and no honey or fig jam or grainy mustard or fruit or ANY accompaniment. Even the servers asked if we would please complain to the chef.
The gurgling suitcase most talked about drink is the Turtle Krawl. The bar has 12 seats but a Facebook group of followers with 2k+ members.
Great idea for a show! I Loved all you suggestions, and I'll throw out a couple more. Territory Lounge at WL has some fantastic small plate options. The Bacon on a Wire is amazing, but we have loved everything we've tried there. We also tried Captain Cooks at the Poly for the first time a few months ago and were blown away by the pulled pork nachos. They were so good and huge! My husband and I went there for lunch and split them and were stuffed, but very happy.
I have to agree with Paul. Kona is one of my favorite places. I love Asian cuisine and I think WDW is sorely lacking in this department. We need more places that fall somewhere between Morimoto Asia and Panda Express lol. Oh, and the potstickers are made by adding a cornstarch slurry to the pan while the dumplings are cooking. Look up extra crispy potstickers and you may find some videos on the process!
At Crew's Cup we actually ordered the Prime Rib and Onion Rolls and made our own sliders - not quite the same but very good.
You are way smarter than me Geoff - I love that idea!
I actually had a Bacon Cheddar Burger (1/3lb Grilled Signature-blend Burger with Brisket and Chuck topped with Bacon, Aged Cheddar, Shredded Lettuce, Tomato, and Garlic-Mayonnaise on a Toasted Brioche Bun) at Primo Piatto and it was amazing! Paul definitely needs to give it another try...
Kona is a great choice. The bison burger is amazing at Geyser Point. The last two visits I had it twice each visit. One of those visits I was staying at the Polynesian.
I was sitting around the pool at Vero a week or so before Xmas and saw Derek and his family there, at least I think it was him.
It may have been! I'll have to check my dates when we were there but it was a great 4 nights in December, next time please say hello :) - I hope your trip was awesome!
Ale and Compass-great bfast!
I think Geyser Point is hidden to anyone who doesn't watch the Dis. I love it there but a lot of people don't realize it's more than a bar.
Paul, try the breakfast platter at Primo Piatta. Or the blueberry lemon pancakes. I had the breakfast platter for the first time recently, and it rocked my world. Like Amy thinks about the Boardwalk Deli sandwich, I think about that Primo Piatta breakfast LOL.
Also, go to Le Petit Cafe for late night coffee ;-)
Constructive criticism: would be nice to have some pics/videos edited over the speaking when describing places, keep up great work.
Everything about the Yacht Club is amazing. I'd buy points TODAY if they converted some of those rooms.
Paul congrats on your half marathon!! 🎉
We were at Saratoga that weekend and OMG their pizzas!! 🤤
If primo piatto isn't great for some , the Riva pool bar is amazing. Always a wonderful meal.
Yes, love Derek
Oh and Martha's Vineyard is super lame.
Geyser Point order the salmon salad. It’s fantastic!
Not sure why you would go to Primo Piatto without trying the hearth baked pizza? It's their signature experience. I went with the Grilled Chicken Sandwich without the mozzarella and it was lovely.
Great jobs guys
Geyser Point is my favorite spot on property! I'm glad someone mentioned it so I didn't have to un-subscribe to the channel lol
OMG, Geyser Point is one of my favorite spots on property. Good call on that one.
Wait! No more waffle fries?!?!
I love renting a pontoon at GF - excellent idea to grab food from Gasparilla to take with you. I’ll be doing that!
Amy Krieger that server at Beaches pool bar at GF has got to be Barry! He is an amazing server!
YES that’s him! I could remember his name, but it was definitely Barry. Thank you!
We ate lunch at the quiet pool at Polynesian it was great!!!
Is that a Haunted Mansion hockey jersey?!?! If so, that is an untapped resource for Disney
Eat before 9. Keep snacks in your bag. Go to bed.
Also a fan of Crew’s Cup - you can get the onion rolls from Yactsman (for $8). But in addition to getting rid of the sliders and what was an amazing burger 😢, they are no longer open at mid-day. I believe it opens at 4 and food is only available from 5-9:30.
I just ate at the Crews cup lounge. They ruined it. You can no longer get the prime rib sliders or a burger. At no time of the day are they available You can only get steaks now. They ruined this great lounge. I would eat here every time I visited Disney which was quite frequently. There used to be a line at the door to get in. Now the place is empty and it serves them right. They just made it an extension to the Yachtsman Steakhouse. Another DIsney blunder.
Crews Cup needs to bring the prime rib sliders back. Not excited by the new menu. Won't go back until the sliders are also back.
We need to give Gyser Point a 2nd chance. Our waiter was more engrossed with his large group that was running up the bar tab vs. our family of 3.
Staying at OKW next week-sounds like I need to stop by Gurgling Suitcase
Oh, and I totally agree-Kona over Ohana any day...Captain Cookes over Ohana too for me.
Sounds like the suitcase bar needs one of those massive bloody mary’s that is a meal
Primo Piatto agree. Pancakes ok. Lunch no.
I used the code to get one free month of unlocked magic. It took the code and said my balance was zero, but it appears I can’t complete the transaction without putting a credit card number in. If I have a zero balance, why do you need a credit card?

Good morning Paul. ❤️ 🏰
Good morning Paul, Amy & all. 🏰
I discovered the doodle muffin on my last visit to boardwalk bakery in may 2022 And then they changed to the deli ugh 😣. Does anyone know if the doodle muffin can be found ?? 🧈 It was amazing !
