Hey Pete love your show. Your show is kind of flat when your not hosting. Your like Johnny Carson funny. Your humor makes my day.

We visited The flying Fish on our last visit (Jan 2020) and had the best experience on property.
The only waitress on our entire holiday to genuinely thank us for the tip we left.
The food and atmosphere was outstanding

ESPN club should’ve stayed. It had a really good vibe and was a good place to grab a drink and decent food. We don’t need another really expensive restaurant like the Cake Bake Shop.

My family liked having a spot to watch football. I’d usually eat with them there and then go to Epcot while they watched the game.

I am sure people voted for Beach Club because of its proximity to Epcot for festivals.

I have to say that the last time we stayed at AKL, the boys were very young. Now that they’re adults, a stay maybe in order…especially since we’re currently not doing the theme parks. While I get what you’re saying about the Beach Club, some people may be basing on past trips when the food was a lot better. The Turf Club at Saratoga used to be a very good lunch option when they first opened. We’ve eaten there three times and the last time (2013) it was just okay. Some of the best restaurants are no longer there or changed names and were never the same. At the Yacht Club, the main restaurant was called the Captain’s Quarters when they first opened and it was very good. They used to have a lunch sandwich called “The Longshoreman” it was delicious and the breakfast buffet was not only good, but relatively inexpensive compared to what they currently have. Right now, for selection and quality, the best options are found at Disney Springs (I know, not a DVC resort location). We have eaten at most of the resorts (never eaten at Caribbean Beach, Port Orleans, Pop Century, or the All Star Resorts) and the food quality varies dramatically between locations. For most, this is not what they expect from Disney. I am a firm believer of getting what I pay for and some locations, you just don’t get that. I used to be fine with paying $9 for a cheeseburger because it wasn’t the same as the fast food restaurants off property, now I can get better off property for less. Some locations in the parks have even gone downhill. The Sci-Fi Dime In used to be not just fun, but tasty. The past few experiences have not been very good. Some also need to be a good restaurant for the first time. In Epcot, the San Angel Inn and Nine Dragons have ambience, but the food is disappointing. Many of the restaurants no longer around did fill a niche in the overall scheme of things, Ariel’s was great upon opening of the resort and offered a sit down, non-buffet option at the Beach Club. It quickly became a reservation only restaurant for parties, weddings, and convention guests. It wasn’t open very much longer after that change occurred. That’s another pet peeve of mine, convention activities that are in the main resort areas. As a resort guest, I am probably spending more for my stay and I should not be barred from common areas due to convention activities. The convention activities should be limited to the convention space and not interfere with other guests enjoyment. Resort guests do not go into the convention space and interrupt their activities, the same courtesy should be afforded to vacation goers in the main resort areas. I know, I’m off topic…but sometimes they have clambakes on the beach that regular resort guests cannot attend. However, when there is a clambake for all guests…the convention goers can also attend (granted they are paying for it, but they already had their party). Overall, Disney can do a better job with dining options and prices, the question is…will they choose profits over repeat customers?

I’m surprised Grand Californian doesn’t make it into the top 10 - Napa Rose is by far our favorite Disney restaurant, Hearthstone Lounge has great bites to accompany a sensational drink menu, and Storytellers Cafe has a great buffet for character breakfasts. Plus the pool bar has great options as well!

Yea I agree with steakhouse 71, I loved the French onion soup, one of the best I’ve ever had but my (ordered medium) steak was dry, comparable to Texas Roadhouse. I had high hopes 😬

As we seldom use the sitdown restaurants at our hotel, i compare them primarily based on the quality of the fast food availability. I like the Poly best and GF comes in second.
My favorite for sitdown restaurants is AK - both Sanaa and Jiko.

Steakhouse 71 was one of the worst dining experiences on Disney property
My wife ordered the Filet, received wrong cut, had to go to front to ask for manager because server was never around, filet came out and was cold had to again ask for manager
Not once did server come by to check on us other than refill of drinks
And never apologized for the bad experience
    Service was Horrible

Review idea for Streak House 71 Not undercover.. instead of wearing a costume (too hard) just have your party sit on the table without you at first and order for you, and wait till the food arrives THEN & ONLY THEN do you show up!!! Not only will this be a true review of what’s served but it would make for a fun video review. Ha ha

Is important to let know people that “steakhouse” 71 for dinner is trash. The steak options are Dennys quality, the New York steak is the same that grand Floridian cafe serves for steak and eggs, again, terrible, lunch is amazing, not sure why the burger is so good, they should close at dinner until they find a chef and people who can cook.
Flying fish is amazing, so good, I love it better than cítricos

We own at AKL both Jambo and Kidani. We have gone to Sana’a even on trips to Orlando when not staying at Disney. On the other hand, I went to a conference at Grand Floridian. Wasn’t able to get a reservation at any of the restaurants mentioned, so went to the Gasparilla grill. Had a grilled chicken sandwich which was disgusting. It didn’t taste like real chicken. It tasted like the frozen chicken fillets you can get at Sam’s club. Yuck. Worst food I had at any resort.

  • @matt515o

It’s all subjective, but I suspect some of the voters might not know what a “foodie” is.
I go out of my way to eat at Sanaa while I am staying at the Poly, because I am a foodie. I can’t say I would go out of my way to get any food at the Poly were I staying at any other resort at Walt Disney World.
In my opinion, most of the food at Walt Disney World is satisfactory at best and not “foodie level” food.

The hotels are gorgeous and have great pools, close to parks. Lovely. Food tho…. So bad! Lol and I don’t think I’m picky. Haha my hubby calls me a basic bitch in a loving way and I’d have to agree : )
