    What an excellent, clear tutorial. I’ve been doing these ornaments a bit differently but yours is so lovely I think I’m a convert to your method. Thanks for sharing this!

    in my traditional Xmas colours. Was trying to add a photo but can't work out how to do that here in the comments. Thank you again x

    I purchased many golden beads for my Christmas balls, but I found that the holes are too large and slip out of the pins😅. Do you have any tips or treaks for this problem?

    • @TheOrnamentGirl
      @TheOrnamentGirl  2 місяці тому +1

      The size of the hole is different for different beads. This are the beads we usually use: theornamentgirl.com/blog/3mm-gold-brass-beads
      You can also try finding a pin with a larger pin head or a decorative top. I hope that helps!

    I want to make this ornament but don't know how much material I would need of each color

      This is a great design to get started with! If you are just making one, you'll probably need about 1/8 yard of all of your colors.

    Hi Kennedy... Boy, I am really having hard time to keep my lines straight.. 2 x.3 is right.. I get the first and 2nd row good but when I start the 3rd with going in between the original 4 and doing the next 4 is where it happens.. also my 4th layers keeps going past the equator .. I'm on my 4 the ball and still can't get it.. Getting ready to tears it out... ugh... I follow your video each time I do one.
    😌🤥🤥🤥🤥

      I am so sorry you are having some trouble with your lines! Are you using a ball with pre-marked lines? That is a great way to help keep things straight. I also wanted to let you know that if your fabric is going past the equator, that is okay, just be sure to keep your pins above the equator. Then you can trim any excess fabric.

    If using 4" what size does squares need to be thank you

      Our patterns are designed for 3" foam balls so we don't have an exact formula to size up your ball. You can start by adding 1/2" to the fabric measurements in the supply list. You might also find you need to add an extra layer of fabric to meet the equator.

    What size gold beads are you using please?

    Why can’t we fold the rectangle in half and not a 1/4” from top?

    • @pepperspot805
      @pepperspot805 7 місяців тому

      You probably could but the size of the fabric pieces might be off

      Maybe I do not understand good in English, but how much cm of ribbon need to cut for create the bow?

    • @TheOrnamentGirl
      @TheOrnamentGirl  7 місяців тому

      If you fold the rectangle in half, it will make your finished piece shorter and you may have trouble with your fabric covering all the foam.

    • @TheOrnamentGirl
      @TheOrnamentGirl  7 місяців тому +1

      You will want to use at least 60 cm of ribbon for each bow. If you follow the link in the description, I have a free supply list that will give you all the exact measurements you need.
