This new Street Triple has most of the improvements I have made to my 2010 STR 675 over the years; Ohlins shock, QuickShifter, Arrow 3-1 exhaust, Sargent seat, etc. I also installed a KyleUsa linear shock linkage and spring for solo rider which made an incredible difference in ride and handling. Plus a SuperSprox 520 conversion with +2T rear sprocket. Now has 40,000 kms and is so torquey, fast, and sharp handling that there is no need to buy the new one. But the new 765 has so many great improvements already done that IMO Triumph has again knocked it out of the park. What more can you ask for? LIght, comfortable, strong powerband, refined, and sharp easy handling at speed. Really, 100-120hp in a 400lb bike with a sport-bike chassis is crazy fast on public roads and way more than you need.
Hard to say. I haven't ridden the new MT (FZ-09 here in the States) although editor Kit Palmer has and he says the Yamaha is awesome. And it's a fair bit cheaper than the Triumph here. I smell a comparison test coming... -- Rennie
so, for someone that might not ever take it to a track, seems like the better low end torque R model might be better? im assuming the electronics are the same across all 3 models except maybe the tc? i think it might only be a $1000 or $1500 difference between the two?
We haven't ridden the other two versions of the Street, so I can't comment on which one is better at this stage. It's about $2K (USD) difference between the two.
So the torque comment, really? More torque at 4k than the 675 anywhere? Other reviews I've seen so far say the engine isn't that kind of stand out different?
Compared to the old bike, it's much better. There's still a touch around 5000rpm but it's nothing to worry about. It certainly wouldn't stop me buying the bike if I were in the market for it. -- Rennie
This is the only bike that I would consider trading in my Honda Wave 110i for. You think I ,m joking I know but I,m not :) I only have parking for one bike, or I would keep both.
From what i see, it's usually a hate it or love it relationship towards the bug eye headlights. Honestly, in my opinion, i absolutely love the bug eye headlights. It's special, beautiful and easy to recognize that it is a triumph motorcycle.
Those headlights take some getting used to but i love them aswell! But its each their own taste. Like i really really hate single headlights on bikes, it somehow makes it ugly to me, like the first generation of the FZ-09 or MT-09, that was awefull. But it was a kind of low budget bike. Now the second generation is much better :)
Deposit paid can't wait but want arrow pipe on delivery Triumph unable to tell if they will be able to supply 😝
They certainly do!
diaablo777 I have a carbon fibre Scorpion Serket exhaust on my 2016 model - it sounds evil!

"I bloody love this thing!" - The End.

I love everything about it. Awesome bike, Triumph are awesome.

Please do a review on both the R & RS and how they act on the street.
Damn you, and your enthusiasm for this bike haha.
I keep trying to convince myself that my 2015 is good enough... :(
haha thank you for the voice of reason! Never a bad idea for manufacturers to work out a few things after the first model year too.
Oh, does the new engine have any characteristics vibes anywhere? The 675 has one about 4K.
How about a comparo with the new Ducati SS?
Mr. Scaysbrook, best motorcycle tester! Great job mate.
Thanks mate! -- Rennie

Possibly! Got a few bikes to get through before we start thinking BOTY, but this is for sure an early contender.
Thanks mate! -- Rennie
This bike is getting rave reviews everywhere. Bike of the year?
have a deposit on one . but waiting for the final pricing.

I'm pretty sure the RS has more riding modes than the others.
Deeeproots Gaming the r is better for the street. More torque lower in the rev range. The RS has a fifth ride mode, etc. get the R
im seriously considering selling my 2016 fz09 for this, wow
dream bike, but will it be comfortable for 6'3 190lb rider?
Book a testride and you´ll se.
Love to take one to the alps this year, how much fuel it hold?
4.6 gallons
So you'd go this over the MT-09 as your fun bike I'd say ..? ;)
You deserve more subs!

Yes, this is the case. The designers wanted more torque everywhere but didn't want to increase the dimensions of the bike.

The 2015 is still a ripping bike! But you can't stop progress, as they say...
But does it have cruise control?
X Crow nope

Why is Phillip Island better?
Is it in Australia? I bet that's why he said that lol
So, would you suggest this to a beginner? :)
I say go for it. I'm planning on getting this as a first bike and so long as you're sensible you could ride anything within reason.
what's up with the bug-eyes headlights??? come on already!!! the bike is doing well everywhere BUT there!!!

It seems to be more of a hate it or put up (learn to overlook it) with it mindset from what I've seen.
Been this way for awhile now… get over it.
Amen
fucking awesome bike
Con Rods! Are you sure?
Yak yak yak. Ride the damn thing
