There's two things I remember about Dalaran. This music and the lag

Getting inside Dalaran when your PC had 2 GB RAM. The pain is almost...palpable.

Same thing here, used to visit this city with my virtual friends back in 2013, I never managed to talk to them again and I hope they are well. sometimes I like to hear WoW music such as this one, to remember my time with them.
Wrath of the lich king was just soo fucking well done and just so fucking perfect....after that....it just died.

I don't like being in Dalaran on days when raids reset. The transmog farmers all turn in their quests at the same time.

I wouldn't say it was amazing all the way through tbh. Biggest content drought in the game's history, worst raid (toc), and introduced LFD.
I would say the first half was top notch though.

I remember the first time I entered "Dalaran". I wandered around a bit and immediately found a way to jump off and fall to my death. lol...

god i miss playing old wow but wrath was the beginning of the end
Yea... was such a shame too. First half was alright, but we started to see and feel the decline of the design philosophy of the game was wrath progressed. Dual spec, LFD, tanking being much easier, healing being a spam fest, DPS not needing to worry about aggro as much... the list seems to go on and on.
With that said, wrath still had some great and fun aspects about it.
The nostalgia. I used to visit this city with my virtual friends back in 2013, I miss those days, I never managed to talk to them again and I hope they are well. sometimes I like to hear WoW music such as this one, to remember my time with them. Rui, Juh, Michell, Andre, Kaioh, Jay and Samuel, I wish you all the best, wherever you are.
It's good this place had such great music; I remember just jumping up and down the steps of the bank waiting for a tank on Dungeon Finder...only to get Occulus >.

Sometimes I just want to go back to those bittersweet times and see my old friends again.
I remember unlocking flying, flying up to a rooftop and just sitting there looking at the night sky while this played. Got me through some really dark times in my life

Esto si fue nostalgia pura las mejores etapas de mi vida 2011 2012 2013 y termino en el 2014 :( Aun quisiera jugarlo pero computadora no corre el juego y aparte salio el legion igual en mi opinion este es el mejor WoW de todos los tiempos sus soundtracks todo es perfecto y a los que lo siguieron este juego desde que inicio se han de sentir con mucha nostalgia
+jose daniel osorto carcamo Jamás se podrá revivir la experiencia de jugar Wotlk y escuchar una de las mejores Soundtrack de wow, lo mejor es el inicio de la canción sin duda.

God, I love this score
Dalaran a bustling city with so much to do, but I eschewed the hustle and bustle and preferred the relative calm of the Underbelly inn. But that still didn't stop me from living it up in the city. Fishing in the sewers for the giant rat, fishing in the fountain for coins, fishing outside the prison for the footlocker key, doing fishing dailies (yup lotta fishing). Doing cooking dailies and hoping it was the wine and cheese one so I wouldn't have to actually cook anything. Waiting around for those sum-bitch magic books to spawn so I could get my familiar mini-pet. And my friend back in the early days of Wrath, when he first found an Underbelly Elixir and turned into a tuskaar he got asked so many times now that happened.

I remember when I first went to Dalaran, the game ran at a whopping 2fps on a 64mb graphics card. It was then I realised a had to upgrade my system.
Yes, the amazing artists creating the music for these zones, those are the real heroes. I have so many zones I could just sit in and listen. Sholazar basin, crystal song forest, ...what was teldrassil, all the night elf zone music really. Stormsong valley has an amazing zone track, Zuldazar....so amazing!!

I really missed the old wow , i remember in this town flying around and inspecting people , waiting for bg que , talking and having fun with friends , looking for members for ICC , blizzard.. wake up , bring WoW back.. after the WOTLK , wow is dead..
Yes "Old" wow. Where you had server crashes, times when you could be spawn camped like it was nothing. How much of a chance did you give Pandaria or Cata?
Kyru Shelton its not really the cleanliness of the game that made it what it was. It was how the game felt. WoW was a whole other world. Every bit had to be explored, and making friends along the way was part of the experience. Streamlining everything in the game eventually led to the dulling of WoW. I remember spending hours traveling from once city or zone to another for the first time, occasionally passing people also on their way somewhere, or clearing my first raid with my guild. These things werent about difficulty level, or stats, or gear. They were about experience.
The real problem is that everyone has already had their time to experience WoW. We all miss that feeling of walking into stormwind or orgrimar for the first time completely awestruck at how a game could be so immersive.
WoW is dying. But its not why everyone thinks. WoW is dying because its a game of experience. Once youve run out of that feeling of experience and wonder, its over.
The days i spend idling upon the steps of Ally bank with my chopper back in the days that thing was worth month of farming.
I will always remember this game... no matter what 😢

Dalaran was the best city and oh lord ive bin playing since the end of vanilla :O
15 000 gold was a fortune back then. By grinding the necessary materials I managed to lower it to about 8000 gold and it was still almost everything I owned but by god was it worth it. It was the only mount I used for the entire duration of the expansion and then some.
Wow, I remember when I got to the level you have to be to get in this city and I really thought I was big stuff lol. This place always froze up my computer for a long time.
Easily one of the best game soundtracks ever.
The narrow streets are nice I think, they give Dalaran a unique feel

But the nostalgia of playing with rc cars, buying toys there, waiting for bgs while talking to people, finding ways to fly inside the city, watching people come to the perch and seeing all the cool new mounts, etc. It felt like a mall and looked just like one too.
It also had that nice "icy" feel to the game that new polished feel too. This was the only expansion that had a solid theme.

Ahh Dalaran how I was jealous of my friends for being able to enter the city. I couldn't even enter without getting a blue screen after a few minutes. That is until I got a new computer a couple months after the expansion came out.
To be fair, Dalaran did feel a lot more like a true city. Shattrath...not so much. It did lag a lot more, that's very true.

FixFireFlank Well it gets a tad loud around 00:35 sounding a bit grandiloquent. Also the high pitch instrument around 03:05 is a tad irritating. I usually forget to turn music back on after that. When Lich King was the latest expansion this place was absurdly crowded which really sucked for doing the local dailies and NPC load times, though now it's almost a ghost town.
I posted this comment two years ago. I didn't even remember writing it until you said something in response to it. Also, I never said "Check out my vids guys!" I was merely making a point to my friend Wowmusicable.
This was the beginning of the end folks...why beautiful and awesome....the beginning of the end for wow....garrisons killed it. The once great WOW is dead. RIP wow RIP!
