This is honestly one of the best SPD guides for the game I've seen on youtube, if you ever have time to make a version for scrolls, armor or weapons or any other item category in the game, me and others will find it extremely helpful
FOOD MANAGEMENT: Starve for as long as reasonably possible. Make sure you're not wasting food (dont eat a Ration or Pasty if you're just hungry, as it's worth two hunger states. Small Ration and meats are worth 1. Meat Pie is worth 3 and gives you a special buff.) If there's a lot of danger nearby and you're starving or hungry+low HP eat for the passive regeneration (mind that it takes three turns to eat before upgrading certain skills). Hunger works different on boss levels, you will not lose hunger or take starvation damage as long as you remain active in the bossfight. Staying inactive reduces/removes passive regeneration. EXPLORING: Try to keep your path through the dungeon as short as possible to minimize hunger loss and excess mob spawning. Avoid doubling back the same way many times and instead save key items (actual keys, potions needed to complete certain rooms) for the end, unless said key item generates close to where you need to use it. Inventory management is key as well. Unidentified and cursed loot is worth a lot less than identified and uncursed items. Throw items into chasms to juggle them to the next level if your inventory is full. Keep some alchemize on you whenever possible (made with arcane catalyst in an alchemy pot) as it allows you to quickly convert items to gold/energy. FINDING SECRET ROOMS: If a room with some stones and a single wall of bookshelves spawns, a stone of enchantment is hidden behind the wall. The locked crystal door room with a skeleton inside of it can only be accessed through falling from the previous floor, from the room with a well in the chasm. Rat King has a layer on Level 5, use a potion of mind vision to locate where the room is, then search for a hidden door to get in. You'll get a couple hundred gold from the chests in the room. It's not often I get past level 15 so any hidden rooms past that I don't know of.
Consider it done! I started producing. While we wait, you can comment the way you are defeated, and the name of this unfair boss, if you want! They are all a little tricky, but with enough healing pots you should be fine and at the same time you can learn about their fighting style. I encounter normal floors harder as they are more unpredictable...
The boss is dm-300 and the reason why i lost cuz i had no idea how to kill it lol like do i have to destroy the electric towers when it gets supercharged? Btw i havent fought any bosses after dm-300 (yeah i suck lol)
@@mrmonkey3029 yes. When it gets supercharged you have to look the direction of the ecstatic field generated. That is the direction of the electric tower you have to destroy in order to damage DM-300 again!
This is a well made guide 2:23 3 new potion-specif rooms are added: Firewall room -> frost Toxic gas room -> purity Sentry room -> haste 3:59 Currently the max level reachable before yog without drinking exp potion is 28. Hard cap is 30 but since accession gives exp, exp potions are no longer needed. I suggest turning them into potion of divine inspiration(exotic variation). (for most classes boost Tier 3 then Tier 2 or Tier 4)
Did this man just say throw a potion into a well of awareness? I'm confused. But I'm glad for the tip about the emergency fire extinguisher part, I never knew that was a feature.
To expand on the topic of special rooms and corresponding guaranteed potion, Poison gas room: purity potion Room with no floor except one (or four) chest: levitation Magical fire: frost potion Red sentry: haste potion Although it's worth noting that guarantee drop on the same level doesn't mean you'll actually find it 😂

Ok, the mind vision tip is just genious Also, a pro tip The first floor will almost always have a potion of strength and one healing If you find two potions and there are not a single obstacle that needs potions try one, if you get strength then the other is probably healing, if you heal, go home, the other haas high chances of being a strength potion
I really hope you upload again! This video was very well done and extremely useful for new players! Something to note: a few weeks ago there was an update that added more rooms that require potions such as: The Red Sentry Room (Requires potion of haste), The Blue Fire Room (Requires a potion of frost) and a Toxic Gas Room (Requires a potion of purity)
@Pixelbugz I hope you can upload more videos of this, it helps us a lot, it's a cult game, and having this information is worth millions. Thanks for this video, seriously the best I've ever seen.

Nice. Also the frost seed will stop the flame if you don't want to use your potion. Throw it one square away from the fire and step on it. You will be frozen for a bit. Might only work if you throw/plant it on a water square

Sorry for trying to make this "information" more dynamic, John. Just for you to know, all my love for this game is into this video. I have spent a huge amount of time organising information and experience, editing in a pill-video format and composing the background music. This comment seems just unfair... Yes, I'm finishing my master's degree right now so I'm planning to dedicate energy to the channel this holidays!
