I absolutely love how appreciated this track is by everyone. The softest track on the album is getting the most love. I LOVE this album and it’s honestly been on repeat for two days now... but this track... I can’t get enough of it. They really knocked it out of the park with this one.
It's unusual and unique. You don't make this kind of song just by deciding to do so. There are great songs on the album, but most of them are generic and basic.
Ty Hender I think that’s part of the charm of this album, the songs aren’t really that generic. There’s some straight rippers that would have been at home on Come Clarity and a lot of the stuff is very outside of their normal wheelhouse with some old in flames flare. I think that was part of the problem with Battles... a lot of the album was just “new” In Flames by the numbers. It’s nice to see they’re willing and comfortable reaching out in two extreme directions on one album.
Man, no one is talking about the kickass synth that comes in at 3:54? Totally reminded me of my sweet shadow and immediately gave me chills. Im very glad In flames is still producing kickass metal.

My favorite In Flames song in a very, very long time. It's beautiful. The acoustic reminds me of stuff that was on the Jester Race and Whoracle. I thoroughly enjoyed this album. It was such a pleasant surprise after their previous 4 albums, I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it is. It's not old In Flames, obviously, but after changing their sound 18 years ago, I wasn't expecting it to be.
Battles WAS pretty letdown compared to some of the better tracks on Siren Charms I liked the bonus tracks though This is a huge step up from both of those.
