Man, no one is talking about the kickass synth that comes in at 3:54? Totally reminded me of my sweet shadow and immediately gave me chills. Im very glad In flames is still producing kickass metal.
They always have amazing synth in their songs probably take some influence from house/ trance music
I absolutely love how appreciated this track is by everyone. The softest track on the album is getting the most love. I LOVE this album and it’s honestly been on repeat for two days now... but this track... I can’t get enough of it. They really knocked it out of the park with this one.

It's unusual and unique. You don't make this kind of song just by deciding to do so. There are great songs on the album, but most of them are generic and basic.
Ty Hender I think that’s part of the charm of this album, the songs aren’t really that generic. There’s some straight rippers that would have been at home on Come Clarity and a lot of the stuff is very outside of their normal wheelhouse with some old in flames flare. I think that was part of the problem with Battles... a lot of the album was just “new” In Flames by the numbers.
It’s nice to see they’re willing and comfortable reaching out in two extreme directions on one album.

I lost my father 15 years ago to a heart attack and nothing really makes me feel as much as this song does. It's been 15 years since that day and the last words i heard him say was 'stay with me' to my mother as he was taken to the hospital, every 'stay with me' i hear in this song opens up feelings i haven't felt in a very long time, those last 3 at the end got me. I love you and miss you dad

My grandmother died one month ago for cancer, there isn´t a day which i open my eyes everymorning and remember her.
She was my second mother, and sometimes even more mother than my own mother.
She gave everything for her family and for her sons and grandsons. She was really respected and loved for everyone who met her, she allways helped to everyone she met and really needed it with all money she had in her hands.
I still crying thinking about her, and this songs brings me her again, she has gone, but her love allways will be with us.

As an old school skeptic.....this is fantastic. Those Acoustic melodies are on point. Love this song. the best Ballad they have written since Ordinary Story.
I diasgree, while this is a very good ballad, their best ballads are Evil in a Closet and The Chosen Pessismist (if Chosen Pessismist can be considered as a ballad). Absolutely can't be topped emotionwise, and this is the most important for me.

My favorite In Flames song in a very, very long time. It's beautiful. The acoustic reminds me of stuff that was on the Jester Race and Whoracle. I thoroughly enjoyed this album. It was such a pleasant surprise after their previous 4 albums, I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it is. It's not old In Flames, obviously, but after changing their sound 18 years ago, I wasn't expecting it to be.

By far their best "soft" track ever. In Flames are still a band that can change their sound many, many times, but within 10 seconds if I hear a song by them without even knowing it's them I'll be able to say "That's definitely In Flames." - and I think it's great they still have that identity. I've lost count of the amount of times I leave my 10k spotify playlist on shuffle and I'm like "Who the fuck is that? Oh it's Silverstein"

Holy what the fucking hell world am I in? This is In Flames? I was not expecting this..wow..I love it. It is absolutely awesome in my eyes. It could be better obviously with a nice solo or something..but it is unique so it's very nice. It also has a good meaning behind it that i can relate to.. IN FLAMES WE TRUST!
The solo starts at 3:53 and turns into the leading melody. The lyrics of the chorus are overlayed. It's quite technical. Some metalcore bands use this very often.
At the end the solo even restarts with the leading melody overlayed and the rhythm guitar in the background.
Quite hard to reproduce this ending with just two guitars live on stage, but anyway #InFlamesWeTrust !!

In Flames is the complete band in my opinion. Dosent matter if you´re in the mood of listening to relaxed ballads or heavy ass songs with awsome riffage and harsh vocals, In Flames can be the option in both matters. That´s what i like about this band, they can do it all!

All that "breath in, breath out, stay with me"... did you ever have or have ever been helping somebody during a panic attack? I've had some serious anxiety episodes and I can relate a lot. Just sharing, anybody getting the same "vibe"?
Yeah, that's why I can relate to the song.
Yeah I can relate to helping someone during a panic attack... although my therapist recently told me that breathing in too much (too deep or too frequently) actually worsens the panic attack (because of the lowered CO2 level and different mechanisms). So apparently it is a bad idea to tell someone to breathe in deep. Focusing on breathing slowly and exhaling deeply is better.
Just spreading the word!
I suffer from anxiety neurosis and I've always been alone when it comes to my panic attacks. Can't imagine how much music like this has helped me to stay alive and to overcome my fears. If anybody you know has similar experience I would recommend music as the best medication :)

i thought 'be the sky' by omnium gatherum had the most eargasmic riff and outro i've heard, but this has surpassed it. this gave me goosebumps when i first heard it, i was not expecting it.
