Thanks for the replies guys, I didn't realize people had responded until just now. I'll keep you informed. We have a go cart for my daughter planned for the first episode, and after that a Honda V twin lawnmower.
Nice work. Looks really good and reeeeaaaally makes me want one. The only thing I didn't like was where the tubing is pinched for the axle on the front. I can't believe they didn't round the corners off, or remove the burrs from the plate steel at the factory. The burrs aren't big deal, but irritating to a machinist.
Hair spray works awesome to put grips on and it leaves them sticky so they don't ever move learned that racing hair scrambles years ago!!! Lol Great job guys always a pleasure!!!

I woke up today with my projects going on mostly rc car machine work stuff and This was great to watch great start to my morning thanks guys! Love the mini bike!
I always love watching what you guys are up to. I have always used hair spray to put grips on dirtbikes. It doesnt slip around once dried like soapy water can. index cards stuffed around the rim can save time too when painting.
Cool Lil Rascal build Guys. I Ordered the Lil Rascal yesterday and picked up a Predator 212 today. Christmas present project for my son. I think he will like it.
That shot with the bike following you guys on the cart was sweet. You chaps should invest some time in making a dedicated camera-cart - super-soft suspension, quiet engine, and a rear-facing or maybe even pivotting passenger seat, all that!
The whole bike looks awesome because my favorite color is green but the actual pull-start shroud I would have painted black to throw it off to the cover that covers the flywheel would of look dope.
An old timer told me when painting rims with a tire beaded, use a old deck of cards to go around the bead. They fit between the tire and rim and keep the paint off the rim. Just a cool trick I heard and use
Another way to put grips on is using hair spray. At the bike shop I worked it we didn't know about the compressed air thing yet so we used Aqua Net. It easily slides on when its wet and after it dries off it gets extremely sticky after about 20 minutes. And the only way to get them back off was to ether cut them or stick a small flat head screw driver underneath the grip and squirt more hair spray in there and work it around till it comes off.
It takes it to we have a buttload of white and green paint left over from the John's monster truck and X-kart. We'll be seeing that for days lol.. (☞゚ヮ゚)☞
I won't clear over rustoleum rattle can any more - I've been burned too many times. Primer, 3-4 really light coats a few minutes between each, last coat nice and thick - as thick as you are comfortable without getting runs. Done.
If you would use hair spray to put those grips on, they would slide right on . Let them dry, and they won’t slip off while you’re riding. Learned that at a bicycle shop I use to work at.
Love to see you guys get another Little Rascal minibike... Use a Two Stroke engine on it instead. Should be fun to see you guys build it. Red White Blue colors....
I'm willing to say, the Honda CR500 is way more wicked then that tiny thing. It only has 15hp, 5k redline, and smooth power band. But the Honda CR500 has 60hp, CRAZY power band, 8.5k rpm! You can decide what is more fun. 😉😃
Using Zip-Ties is my preferred way to get BMX grips on. Just put a few inside and slide it right over, pull out the zip ties. No waiting for water to dry.
You have made me think about starting to spray paint again. I have not spray painted since 1979, but it may be in the muscle memory. The usual memory has become a bit slippery over the years.
i deal with humidity like that 24/7 here in fl. also a little hair spray will help put grips on and glue them to the handle bars so they don't fall off
Grandad gave me and my dad a mini bike with a predator 212. Thought it was just the pull cord that was messed up so i fixed that after a few youtube videos. Forgot what I was looking for when i saw your channel testing stock 212 then stage 1, 2, 3, and 4 from 2 years ago. Yalls video production is just real good an entertaining. The easiest way to get grips on handlebars (and provide a little "glue" to keep them on is to spray the bar with hairspray. The grips will slide right on, the hairspray will dry and the grips will be ON THERE.
9:39 Better motocross and street bike grip trick for ya from the year 1980... use women's hair spray, the pump kind. Spray the handlebar grip area and a little on the inside of each grip. When wet, grips slide on better than using compressed air, plus when it dries, the hair spray acts as a glue to hold the grips on.
one of those days when one of those corona mask´s would have come in handy and actually braught at least some health benefit...anyway better then having to hold your shirt in front of your nose for that entire rattlecan paintjob...yes i mean you ike...lol
Nice looking little bike! I like the color scheme, who cares what kind of tractor it looks like 😄😄 One tip on the clear coat though, in high humidity, use VERY LIGHT coats! I'm sure you have noticed that the areas where the clear is not as heavy, it has the gloss you're looking for. The heavy coats are "skimming over", or "blushing", basically the top of your last coat is drying before the solvents can escape from underneath, and that's what's causing it to look like a semi gloss. I like it either way, just a suggestion. Keep up the awesome videos, and have a great day!

With no suspension and no engine, I just can't see it being worth the price. It needs to be $300 or $350, not nearly $700.
Maybe if it were aluminum I could see the higher price. But as a kit how you get it I absolutely agree with your price estimates.
350 gets you a monster moto 80cc. Typical bs markup.
you can get a coleman ct200u on amazon for $600 with a motor
