Superb couple of videos of a great show at the Dockyard - you definitely have the talent for capturing the moment - so well done! I actually went to the show on the Saturday so it is nice to see the layouts again from the comfort of my armchair. Cheers for now Malcolm.
Great videos of the show mate. I was attending with Bletchinghurst so didnt get to see much of the show. Was great to have a conversation with you as always. Some lovely film of our layout in here. Thank you👍
Hi Stephen, nice to talk to you again and thanks for the kind words, it was a great show and again thanks for all the efforts to exhibit the layout! See you at the next one Matt
Loved the sound of the steam engine at the beginning of the video and the WWII scenes with the boats, ships, and destruction scenes were stellar. Did not know Golden Arrow existed so I added them to my list of manufacturers. I also liked the Dr. Who gold Dalek on the ramp, lol. The live steam trains were interesting, but I think the newer ones have radio controls, don't they? The drag line excavator had to have an operator somewhere and it looked like fun. The detail of the scenes especially the dock scene with the cobble stone streets was beyond comparison. I have to say that this is one time the sequel is better than the first video even though that was good also. Great tour and video, Jersey Bill
Hi Bill, I t was a really good show and very high quality layouts, I am glad clipping the retail/manufactures is worth while I was never sure if it helps or not, your the first to comment so I will continue. There was an operator on the drag line, but couldn't get a shot without capturing them and I know most people don't appreciate being filmed. I have not seen the live steam at 00 scale with remote control, this Hornby system is from a while back and uses digital signals through the track to open and close the valves. As always thanks for the kind words, Matt
Some great layouts Matt. I have seen the WWII Military Dock layout but the WWI trenches layout is pretty impressive. You know that I run Tri-ang TT, it seems to be even harder to find anything TT120 here in Australia. Nothing on display at the shows. Just the odd outlet store with it. Thanks for sharing. Happy Modelling
The dock is so impressive just the size, the camera really can not capture it so glad you have seen it. The trenches were superb really hard to capture destruction, but this chap had got it spot on. I do recall you saying you ran the Trang TT, occasionally I do see it at the exhibitions but the TT120 is very rare considering how Hornby are pushing it here in the UK I can only imaging it being harder in Australia. My local model shop is a stockist but I don't see my self getting into the scale in the near future. Anyway all the best Mon.
Nice video, met you briefly in the queue. You filmed my black live steam engine. Chris, at oolive steam, had just fixed it. Took him 3 hours. They are a great group. I'm glad you filmed the show. I did not have time to have a good look.
Nice to see you there, sorry I didn't chat, will do next time! The live steam is amazing I have a couple myself but not run for a long time, I've not tried to fix one, I should imagine very complex. I love that the live steam group let the public have a go, but there was one when I was filming a bit out of control and some worried faces Anyway thanks again - Matt
I'm glad I know your name now, I'm Joe. I've started putting videos of my layout on UA-cam. I use my phone, I try to make them look OK, but the focus goes and I shake a bit. ua-cam.com/video/MEg3dbmLz_U/v-deo.htmlsi=zR0Wv7oIyhSoTGLz
Hi Joe, sorry for the delayed response, got a bit behind on reading mails, like the vids so far, I also have so much shaky footage I only use about a third of what I shoot! Matt
Lovely video, my friend!! I know of two more model railway shows coming up in east Hertfordshire. 14 August - Lowewood Museum Model Railway Day. 25 August - Hoddesdon Model and Railway Club Modelling Extravaganza.

I know the feeling Stephen 🤣 you saw me running around all day I didn't even get to see any of it.
Not bad for a first exhibition I've organised haha

By the way, the Whitewebbs Museum of Transport will be on the BBC London News at 18:30 this evening.
I missed it, I will see if I can find it on the iPlayer.
