I think you nailed it there. What made Bad Co and Bad Co 2 especially so great. The ATTITUDE. You had SOME tryhards, but at any given moment half the enemies team's level 50 players are slapping C4 onto UAV's and trying to fly them into tanks or ACTUAL helicopters. The joy came from it being a well-made fun to play shooting game, but ALSO the fact that it didn't take itself super seriously, even today it's got perhaps the best single player storyline and characters for a fun time. Nothing beats haggard invading a foreign country cause he heard the word "gold". The hardcore mode had just the right amount of hud too. You could kill friendlies but you at least got a tiny blue dot to let you know they WERE a friendly, didn't have to stop and identify a uniform before pulling the trigger. I miss the shenanigans me and the guys would get up to in this game. And even though levolution is pretty cool, I miss BC2's ability to destroy seemingly every damn thing and building on the map with the paired ability to enter just about every damn building too! They put more time into it, the world felt more alive and more destructible there. You didn't get overwhelmed by a bad guy in EVERY SINGLE HOUSE, at least not for long, cause you'd blow the damn house up! Shit do I miss this game, so badly, and always will as they've yet to get close to matching it. They make shooter after shooter but none since BC2 have been made with this attitude of "Let's git'er done boys! WHOOOOOEEE Bring me that dynamite!" that this game series did. They all take themselves far too seriously now or focus on Coolness over Funness cause WW1 and WW2 had some cool ass guns and tactics, but they somehow made it Not fun. Bad Company and Bad Company 2 has an attitude similar to Inglorious Bastards, there is action, bombing, killing, but over it all, they're a group of fun & funny guys having a damn good ol' time! THAT is what I miss about Bad Company most of all, shit like 90% of the clan tags were jokes in some way or another even. Everyone felt the vibe of fun, and it was more powerful than the desire to be the absolute best, thats why it was and still is the most Fun battlefield game ever made. At least in my humble opinion.
I have to keep coming back to this video. I miss this game so dam much. It was such a cheeky game that was unbelievably fun. Even when Bad Company 2 came out i had to keep going back to the original every so often. I think i just love the simplicity.

Hey, look, a new Badger video, let me complain about how he is late even though his last video was when, like 3 or 4 weeks ago.
