My kids are age 48 and 41. And with families of their own. But these do look good. And can be made for just 2 people like me and my husband and have left overs.
When ever my three daughters would tell me they were bored, I hand them a cleaning cloth and sent them to wash baseboards. They quickly figured out there was always something better to do than baseboards 😂
When my children were growing up, I had their Summer days off planned out. Every day we had at least 4 hours of outside time, split up, some sort of outing, (could be lunch and play at McD's, a few hours at a friends house, time at the pet store, going to pick out a movie etc.) fun Summer afternoon snack (usually something from the ice cream truck and usually some kind of project like making bird feeders----- toast, peanut butter bird seeds, ribbon for hanging, or some other art project.) Once every 2 weeks we'd go to the movies at the theater. At home we would close up the house, get the pillows and comforters, snacks we bought special at the store, and each would choose a movie. Their days were happily full. Thanks for the recipes.
When we were harvesting them in class, the stretch marks meant that the pepper plant was stressed out, and when they get stressed out the plant produces more capsaicin (extra spice!)
@@sanikaborah7370 Woah!! Well thank you for that! We have a garden and grow all sorts of peppers from sweet to jalapeno to reapers. I just told my husband this info and he was very happy to learn this! 😁
Love the slow cooker for summer cooking. Doesn’t heat up the house and you still get yummy, filling meals. My aunt taught me to always put a little water in the jar and shake it around to get all the goodness. A little milk in any creamy sauce or dressing gets the final bits from those too.
Omg thanks for this video! I just got a 8 pound ham on sale for $5!!! I couldn't pass up the price and now I have a new recipe to try! I have a family of 3 so its going to be many meals!
Yay for a Christine cooking video. I’m newly early-onset diagnosed and you make things to understand with the last cooking tool I can use. Monday’s med day so this video is a gift!!! Thank you. Update. Fav was Italian sausage, beef, not sure on that kind of ham. Buns all needed steaming or toasting. Fajitas are just a given right. Always do good.
Can't wait to try the ham and sausage sandwiches! It's a nice change from beef because we love it so much and cook it all the time! Thanks for something new, Christine!
The fajitas look delicious! I dont think you're adding tsp, but more towards Tbs, of seasonings, but that is what makes it your own! I'm happy to see it!
Thanks for the recipes. They are new to me. These will be so easy to make for lunches/late suppers. Here in Arizona when its over 105 in the summer the slow cooker is the way to go. No one wants to heat up the house cooking. 😥 Can hardly wait to try them out! Thanks again.
Yummy, thanks for the inspiration. I love sandwiches too. Theres so many to choose from. Something I love to make, skirt steak tacos or a sandwich style. I throw shredded skirt steak into a large bowl, add enough beer to marinade, lime, cilantro, onion, salt, cracked pepper, garlic chunks, let marinade for at least 24 hours. Then grill on a flattop, or similar. We add peppers all the colors, sliced onion, all grilled with meat. Toss marinade. Then you hit it with more lime, cilantro and a good pick de gallo. Girl...yummy. oh and the beer cooks off. We aren't drinkers at all.
You just blew my mind when making the fajitas! I’ve always made mine one at a time and the way you did it is amazing hahaha I literally face palmed and asked myself why I’m such a dummy 😂
In Australia those wouldn't be called sandwiches, they would be called rolls; eg Hot Ham Rolls. Sandwiches are specifically made with bread slices here.
they're sandwiches that way here too. Grilled cheese sandwiches though can come on many types of bread though and may be called something a little bit different with each type of bread. :)
Lol 😅 watching with anxiety... “please add liquid to the fajitas!! 😰” instant relief when she does 😆 who knew a crock pot video could be such a emotional rollercoaster for me!!??? 🤣🙈🤪
Hi, I have recently started following you and YOU ARE A JOY to watch!!! You have such a GREAT ENERGY and beautifully FUN SPIRIT. And, I am really DIGGIN all the FAB recipes I've learning from you. These are particularly DEEE-LISH!! 🥪🥪 I LOOOVE hot sandwiches 😋😋especially and like you said, you can have like any type of side...chips, pickles, soup, potato & macaroni salads, and sooo much more. 🍟I look forward to watchin many many more of your vids. Thanks loads for sharing. Hugz Arlene 😁😀
My Mom has made that beef roast all the time, but I never thought of putting it on BREAD! YAY, I'm gonna do that this Sunday! :) Thanks lady for idea! You're the best!!
We had the ham sandwiches two days in a row last week. That’s something that rarely happens having leftovers back to back. They were great. A picky eater was here who doesn’t care for ham. We got something they wanted with that in mind. They ended up snagging one for themselves as we were sitting for dinner haha. That says something! I’m cooking the Italian sausage to try today 😋
I am loving every single one of these! And I know for a fact that my husband and my two sons would freak for that enormous sausage sandwich I am definitely making that asap!
Love slow cooker days! So easy and good!! My favorite is to use a tougher cut of beef, round steak is my favorite, add garlic, onion soup mix, can of rotel. It shreds so easy. Serve over mashed potatoes. Or on sub rolls with cheese.
I could eat sammies, soup, and salads for every meal. Heck, I have made salads for breakfast. I had my cousins over for a weekend just to get out of the COVID-19 stuck in their house all the time. I let mom sleep in, and I was up making tea, which the kids love with honey. They think it is very fancy and grown up. They wanted cereal, but I really only had Chex mix that we were gonna make the mix for movies later in the day. I told them I was gonna make myself a salad for breakfast, and I could make them pancakes if they wanted. I got, “EWWW, salads for breakfast?!?!?!” I looked at them and said we had biscuits and gravy for dinner last night, and that is normally for breakfast. Then they boy asked, what do I put in my salads. I told them what ever I want. They can be picky eaters. So I told them I like to have beets.....ewww!!! Was the response. I had them try the pickled ones and the non pickled ones. They loved the non pickled ones!!! So were were about to make out breakfast salads, and I asked if they wanted a hard boiled egg with the salads. And, the girl said that is full of protein, and her coach recommend hard boiled eggs with a banana or other fruit as a healthy snack, so I made three hard boiled eggs for us. I then found out that I was out of croutons, that they wanted. But, I had four hot dog buns that needed to be used up. So I showed them how to chop them into bit sized pieces, add a bit of olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, mix all together, and tossed on a baking sheet, then into the oven. Homemade croutons!!! Then the boy asked about if he could use my fancy cheese grinder (my micro plane) to add cheese to his salad. I said sure. As we were sitting down to watch a new episode of WandaVision, mom woke up (no coffee!!!!), and was very upset that I was feeding them a salad for breakfast. After coffee we talked. I explained that I dont have cereal, and offered to make them pancakes, but I was already making a salad for myself. Plus, with all the veggies, including beets (which blew her mind), homemade croutons, meat, cheese, and a hard boiled egg, that this meal was so much better that sugar in a bowl. Her kids eat 3 or four salads for breakfast a week now. The boy has lost 7 pounds of fat, and wants to learn how to cook more. Same with his sister. This weekend we are making m=homemade Dutch oven bread, homemade butter, and some jams!!! Mom is buying lees processed foods, and they are ordering lees take out. The kids want to cook. They are watch move cooking videos on UA-cam and both have the tasty app. When mom was at work, and dad went to the gym, he told them that when he picks up mom from work, that he will call and ask what they can pick up for dinner. They are 15 and 13, soon to be 16 and 14...OMG!!! When mom called, the girl told them they needed to be home in 10 minutes because dinner will be ready soon. They made Greek chicken breasts, roasted lemon potatoes, and a Greek salad!!!! And, as dad said, it was yummy, and he is proud of his kids. Now the family cooks more often. There is just one or two days a week that mom has to make dinner. The kids do the rest, because they love too. She called me to thank me for giving them salad for breakfast, which inspired the kids to want to learn more, be independent, and that a simple salad brought her family closer. Oh, and they love your show!!!!
Only took me all day to get through this video! Oy! Cool video! I would have a hard time not serving the roast with mashed potatoes!!!! They all look amazing! Thanks Christine!
So happy to see multiple slow cookers linked in the dibbly doo. I was, like, wait. Does she have multiple colors of slow cookers, or am I losing my mind?
@Frugal Fit Mom, Slow cooker dinner/Insta-pot meal... chop 1 large yellow onion. Place in the bottom of pan. Put your pork tender loin on top. I get the big ones so I cut them into 3 inches wide pieces. Place those on top of the onions. This one sounds weird, but empty a pint, or more of apple butter on top of your meat. Sprinkle with a bit of salt and pepper. My go to seasoning is Cavendars Greek Seasoning, you can find it at Walmart. Sprinkle a goodly amount. Add 1 cup of chicken broth. I use the insta-pot. So I cook it on the pork setting for, medium for 20-30 mins. When it's done I release the pressure. I have topped rice, and had it with mashed potatoes or noodles. Coconut rice is awesome with it. 1 can coconut milk. 1 can of water to the appropriate amount of rice..with a pinch of salt.... 1 can of long grain rice is normal. I usually double it. With left overs I shred it up and add a bit of taco seasoning to it and use it for tacos or burritos with the rice. It's so yummy. Oh, and a mexican food game changer.... mexican oregano.... you will thank me later.... YOUR WELCOME!!! I was 59 yso when I found out about it.

Are used to take the crockpot to work with me in the rolls peppers and onions in the sauce and the sausages and I would toss it all in the crockpot and cook it at break time I will charge everybody five dollars a sandwich I always went home with money in my pocket everybody got something to eat because I always took extra potato chips with so I love that sandwich
That sausage sandwich is better if you use the long loaf of garlic French bread, and you can do meatballs the same way and have a meatball sub. Love the ideas!
ah your red crock pot/ slow cooker not sure the name is the same as mine! don't know why that made me so excited lol. Gotta try this ham recipe and others!
Great recipes!! Have you tried crock pot liners?? My daughter bought me some to try and I have never looked back!! Lift out the liner, wash the inside ( very little washing required), easy peasy, done!!

I'm a dill girl myself. I love using my slow cooker to make meatballs so you can put it on bread, rice, noodles, zoodles, whatever you like.
Christine, you're not lazy.. you are frugal with your personal energy resources! Love your videos and much love from Oklahoma!!!❤
Love how this statement sound - I'm stealing it :D
I had the same problems picking out jalapeños until someone told me the ones with the ‘streaks’ on them are the hot ones. So far, it’s been true.
Yep. Those stretch marks are a sure bet those peppers are spicier.
When we were harvesting them in class, the stretch marks meant that the pepper plant was stressed out, and when they get stressed out the plant produces more capsaicin (extra spice!)

Yum! My favorite slow cooker sandwich is BBQ chicken. Chicken Breast, topped with a mixture of vinegar, ketchup, and brown sugar. Delicious!!!!
I love how 1 teaspoon of seasonings never looks like just a teaspoonful!! 😂
Because she's actually pouring Tablespoons. But keeps saying teaspoons.🥴😆
Measures in her hand = exactly 1 tsp
Measures into pot = couple tablespoons
😂😂❤️. She loves her spices though!😄
I know, Cristine makes me laugh so hard!! 🤣🤣🤣 OMG!!! Too funny! 🤣
I love Wilma Santos... Hola muñeca!
came straight to this comment lol😹😹

Those hot ham rolls! I have made them twice since watching this video. Once for dinner and then as meal prep for lunches. Delish!

Try using your favorite BBQ sauce, whole bottle, with your favorite deli ham ( around two pounds), just two hours on high. It's a family favorite.
